Hi! My name is Rowdy Zane , and I’m a handsome Rottweiler —possibly with a little Black Retriever mixed in. I’m a big, lovable guy at around 80 pounds , but don’t let my size fool you. I’m one of the sweetest, friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet. I get along beautifully with just about everyone and everything. Right now I’m living in a foster home with more dogs than you can imagine, and we all get along great! A few of them love to play with me, which is always a good time. The ones who aren’t interested? I just respect their space…although I honestly can’t figure out why anyone wouldn’t want to play with me! I’m an easygoing, happy-go-lucky dog with a gentle soul, but I definitely have my playful side too! I get bursts of energy where I love to run, play, and have fun, but once I’ve gotten my wiggles out, I’m more than happy to settle down and relax with my people. I love people and especially enjoy leaning against you for affection. Snuggles are one of my favorite things! I’m not much of a barker, and I don’t spend my time jumping all over people. I’m simply happiest being close to my humans. I’m house trained and crate trained , so I’ve already mastered some of the most important house manners. I’m eager to please and love learning new things. I could use a little polishing on my leash manners, but with some consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, I’ll catch on quickly. My foster family thinks I’d be perfectly happy as your one-and-only dog, soaking up all the attention. But if you already have a friendly dog at home, I’d likely fit in just fine there too. I’ve been told I have beautiful, soulful eyes, the sweetest smile, and a gorgeous mostly black coat with just a touch of wave to it. Because I’m a big boy, I’d probably be happiest in a single-family home with a yard rather than an apartment. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, laid-back companion who also enjoys getting out for walks and playtime, I might be the perfect match. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! At about 21/2 years old and 55 pounds, she has an athletic build, a gorgeous coat, and an even more beautiful personality. Shannon is sweet, friendly, and loves spending time with both people and other dogs. She has a playful spirit, enjoys being active, and would love a family that will include her on daily walks, hikes, or other adventures. After a day of fun, she's just as happy to relax and be by your side. This smart girl is house-trained, crate-trained, and was professionally trained at Rucker's Dog Training, where she learned excellent manners and many commands. She walks beautifully on a leash and is eager to please, making her a wonderful companion for a family looking for a well-behaved dog. Shannon's story began with uncertainty. She was found as a stray and brought to Walton Animal Control, where her future was far from guaranteed. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her just in time. We rescued Nova over 5 years ago without knowing her age, after visiting the vet to get her shots and an initial checkup the veterinarian determined she was roughly 1-2 years old. She was spayed within a week and she’s been a wonderful dog since. She came to us already house broken, and she knew a few training commands. Nova has an initial shy personality, she’s very sweet and like most Rotties loves snuggling with her humans. Nova is eager to please and is quite the communicator be it with her eyes, head or body thrusts or quick grunts or huffs. Nova only barks when there is a reason. She prefers human interaction over dogs, and prefers interaction with smaller dogs over big, she’s initially shy when meeting new people or dogs and true to breed standards she is noticeably female, quite girly. Though 100+ lbs she is not an alpha dog and will submit to a larger or more aggressive dog.
