     This cutie-patootie is Miloe, a 8 year old, 12-15 pound, Shih Tzu mix with the most adorable underbite. Miloe is completely potty trained, crate trained, and a huge love bug! He loves to snuggle up with his people. He is easy-going with medium energy, not a high energy dog, but loves walks! In addition, he enjoys mild playing with other dogs, and would be great for kids 8 and older.       Because he has always had people home with him throughout the day, we are seeking adopters who can provide that for him. Miloe is crate trained and only uses it for comfort when he wants some “alone” time. He would love a fenced yard to run but will walk on a leash.       This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, tested for parasites and other diseases, dewormed, neutered, and microchipped.  ADOPTION APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE BY REQUEST from acaringplace@comcast.netA Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. Kaylee's loving owner has to go into assisted living and cannot bring her with. She needs a foster or adopter by the end of February. Kaylee's owner been a client with our partner vet for a very long time and has always taken wonderful care of her dogs. Her heart is broken that she has to do this. She’s a 15y old terrier mix about 16lbs. Very sweet dog but can be reactive to other dogs. She does have a history of a heart murmur, calcium oxylate crystal (on a preventive diet) and proteinuria (on daily med for this).. She would need to be the only dog as she can be reactive in her old age and needs a quiet place to live out her life. Would anyone be willing to help her?

Story
Crimson is being fostered in VA. Crimson is blind and has kidney disease. Crimson is a friendly little guy who loves belly rubs! If you would like to know more about this special pup, read on! Crimson is from Florida. His family could no longer care for him and so they turned him over to the Blind Dog Rescue Alliance. He traveled to his Virginia BDRA foster home in January 2026 and made friends all along the way. Crimson has settled into his foster home quite well! There are four other blind dogs in the home and Crimson gets along just fine with each of them. He is happy to share a bed and doesn’t mind if a dog bumps into him. He ignores the family cat. At night, he settles easily into his bed and sleeps through the night. He is housetrained – not a single accident yet! He has a deep bark and, when he first arrived, he barked fairly often but now that he is learning the routine, he barks only occasionally (usually when anticipating a meal!). As mentioned, he loves belly rubs and he enjoys head rubs too. He also likes toys. Crimson is blind, diagnosed with SARDS several years ago. SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome) is a condition that causes rapid and irreversible blindness due to changes within the retina. In addition, he arrived at his foster home with ear infections that are in the process of being treated. He hears well though and he doesn’t let his blindness bother him at all. His eyes are currently healthy although he does have some clear discharge at times. Crimson also has been diagnosed with kidney disease/kidney failure along with high blood pressure. He is on a prescription kidney diet (Purina) and also on Benazepril twice a day. We don’t know all the details about Crimson’s medical history before he arrived at his foster home and – as is true with any rescue dog – we can’t predict what the future holds for his health. Anyone interested in adopting Crimson should first speak with their vet about canine kidney disease so there is an understanding of this disease, its progression, and how it is treated. Crimson has not spent time with children and, although he is such a nice dog, he should be adopted into a home with older children or adults only. And he should always be supervised when he is with young children, as all dogs should be. If you think you can provide this sweet, gentle dog the wonderful forever home he deserves, complete an application today! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
