Bear! This little guy is a 2 year old, 17 pound Shih Tzu mix! Bear is good with other dogs and he is getting used to meeting new people and experiencing new things in his foster home. He's working on training and doing well with his crate and potty training! He's also getting used to wearing a harness so he can start leash training. He likes to spend time with his canine foster brother, cuddling up or running and playing outside. He has also started to play with his squeaky toys! Since living in a home is new to Bear, he is looking for a patient adopter who will patiently draw him out of his shell, and work on training at his pace and comfort level. He hopes to find a loving home and would love to have a well-adjusted resident dog pup to continue showing him the way. He has the cutest little face with the most expressive eyes! He's very quiet and curious, and will be a wonderful companion as he gains confidence and let's his personality shine! Please submit an application to meet Bear if you think he's the pup for you! Buttercup and her sister and brother, Bubbles and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Buttercup has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 7 pounds and is probably full grown now. Buttercup is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Buttercup is a little bossy but plays great with her brother and sister. we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them but would always want to be the boss. She would be fine with older children, and we are not sure about cats but the bossy part would be the same at first. Hi, I’m Ivy I’m a 5-month-old Shih Tzu with a pink bow, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. I love toys. I love other dogs. Playtime is my happy place, and cuddles? Even better. I’m sweet, and always ready to be your little sidekick. I may be small, but my personality is mighty. I also want to share my story… I was going to be euthanized by my breeder — simply because I wasn’t “perfect.” Thankfully, a rescue stepped in and saved my life. Here’s my truth: I’m incontinent and I don’t have control of my back legs. I wear a diaper (and I’m very good about it!), need help with changes, and can’t do stairs. But none of that stops me from living a full, joyful life. I scoot wherever I want to go and don’t let anything dim my sparkle. I’m looking for a foster home or a forever family who sees my heart before my challenges. I’ll need a little extra care — and I’ll give you a lifetime of love in return.      This cutie-patootie is Miloe, a 8 year old, 12-15 pound, Shih Tzu mix with the most adorable underbite. Miloe is completely potty trained, crate trained, and a huge love bug! He loves to snuggle up with his people. He is easy-going with medium energy, not a high energy dog, but loves walks! In addition, he enjoys mild playing with other dogs, and would be great for kids 8 and older.       Because he has always had people home with him throughout the day, we are seeking adopters who can provide that for him. Miloe is crate trained and only uses it for comfort when he wants some “alone” time.
