Hi, I’m Ivy I’m a 5-month-old Shih Tzu with a pink bow, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. I love toys. I love other dogs. Playtime is my happy place, and cuddles? Even better. I’m sweet, and always ready to be your little sidekick. I may be small, but my personality is mighty. I also want to share my story… I was going to be euthanized by my breeder — simply because I wasn’t “perfect.” Thankfully, a rescue stepped in and saved my life. Here’s my truth: I’m incontinent and I don’t have control of my back legs. I wear a diaper (and I’m very good about it!), need help with changes, and can’t do stairs. But none of that stops me from living a full, joyful life. I scoot wherever I want to go and don’t let anything dim my sparkle. I’m looking for a foster home or a forever family who sees my heart before my challenges. I’ll need a little extra care — and I’ll give you a lifetime of love in return. Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction. 🌶️ Meet Chilli 🌶️ 9-year-old | Female | Shih-Tzu Mix If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Chilli might be your perfect match. This lovable little lady is a true shadow dog — always following her favorite person around and making it very clear when she’s ready for hugs, cuddles, or to be picked up (her signature move is gently scratching at your legs to ask!). Chilli is currently thriving in a foster home with young children and a cat, and she’s been wonderful with both. She’s friendly and relaxed when meeting strangers, whether inside the home or out and about, and she loves when people stop to pet her. She’s got great house manners too! Chilli is housebroken, crate trained, and great on leash — no pulling here, although she will bark at other dogs when she sees them. At night, she happily walks into her crate on her own when told “go to sleep.” She knows stay, drop it, come, and is working on sit (she understands it… she just doesn’t always feel like holding it — fair enough!). Chilli’s favorite things include: Sleeping (expert-level napper) Being held or sitting on laps Cuddle time (lots of it!) Walks and playing chase Meeting people and soaking up attention She’s very relaxed overall and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as she loves being out with her people rather than crated frequently. One thing to note: Chilli is not into dog toys at all — but towels, beds, paper, boxes, or anything left on the floor? Those are her true treasures. Because of this, she’d do best in a home without very young kids who tend to leave toys around. Chilli hasn’t been tested with other dogs yet, but she’s open to meeting one during a proper meet-and-greet. Her foster will miss her deeply — especially her cuddles, her tenderness, and the quiet way she fills a home with love.
