She is dog friendly and loves people, but can be shy at first. She is bonded to her brother, Buck, and keeping them together will help each other with the transition of losing their home and owner. Adoption Donation: $300 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Meet Applebees! She is a 7 year old, 8 pound, Shih Tzu! Applebees is friendly with other small dogs and, after some initial nervousness, she does alright with kiddos and strangers! This little munchkin loves to have her cheeks and ears rubbed. She is a curious girl who is trying to learn how to be a dog, so she sniffs every nook and cranny of her foster home! She likes to spend time with her crate and she is working on other training, like walking on a leash and pottying outside. Since this is all mew to her, she will need a fenced yard in her forever homer and her forever family will need to continue her training! She is hoping to find a family who will be calm, gentle, and patient with her as she continues learning about being a beloved pup. She'd do well with a canine sibling, but she'd probably love to get all the attention, too!
