Story
Hi, I'm Selena! I’m a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a sweet personality and just the right amount of spunk. I currently weigh around 20 pounds but still have a little growing left to do. I’m getting the hang of sleeping in my crate, though I’d much rather be close to my people. I’ve already mastered the doggie door and am learning that outside isn’t just for play... it’s where I’m supposed to go potty, too. Who knew? I absolutely love people and am currently living with a cat. He’s not really into playing, so I leave him alone—no big deal! I'm up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Apply to meet me today! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2394426##

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Are you looking for a sweet, loving soul to join your family? Deimos, aka Saul, is your man! He is 4 years old, 60 lbs, and looking for love and a place to call home.  Deimos is fully potty trained and knows basic commands (sit, stay, heel, lay down, come, shake), which he learned in a comprehensive board-and-train program, and knows how to use the doggie door. He continues to work on his leash manners and work through some manageable anxiety about new things and people. He is crate trained, is calm while you're away, and sleeps contentedly through the night (he loves to snuggle, if you're into that). Deimos still has the fun puppy energy without all those pesky puppy habits. Silly, wiggly, and bouncy? Check! Chewing and jumping? Not this guy! He would love to be your adventure buddy but also would love to cuddle up on the couch with you or assist on your work-from-home days (do you need a handsome boy to join you on your Zoom meeting? Deimos is happy to oblige).  He will brighten your day with his happy thumping tail, his intrigue about dogs and other animals on the TV, his kind eyes, and gentle pawing and head butts to get pets. He is friendly with his foster brother, but can be apprehensive about certain dogs he sees on walks. He will need structured introductions and a confident and supportive family to advocate for him with new friends. He does not need another dog in his new home, but it would be an added bonus if his new family had a confident dog who can teach him the ropes. He loves people, but will need a little time (a few minutes typically) and structure to adjust to new people who come around; he simply prefers not to be pet immediately and that he makes the choice about being touched. He decides swiftly and with confidence who to trust when given the space he needs. Turns out he trusts essentially everyone! He would thrive with a family who is as loyal to and supportive of him as he will be to them; can provide structure and love; and can help him gain confidence and learn that the world is not a scary place. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and ready to join your family today. Apply to learn more and meet this true gem of a dog. Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1193696##

Story
Name: Ted Breed: Toy Australian Shepherd Sex: Neutered Male Age: 1 year 6 months Weight: 21 lbs Needs Experienced Adopter, We are seeking a foster-to-adopt home for Ted, someone experienced with dogs who have fear-based reactivity and willing to continue working on his behavior with patience, structure, and training support through PawsCo. Good with dogs? Ted may do best as an only dog, as he can be protective of his food and may feel overwhelmed sharing space. Good with cats? No. Good with kids? No. Energy Level: Medium. Ted loves to romp around, explore the backyard, and play with toys. Once his play needs are met, he settles nicely and enjoys relaxing. Behavioral Needs: Ted spent most of his early life outdoors and is still learning how to be a comfortable indoor companion. He’s working on feeling safe, managing his stranger danger, and sharing resources. Because he struggles with being left alone, he will need a home where someone is home often or works from home. Ted is significantly undersocialized and requires very slow, structured introductions to new people and experiences. Continued professional training will be important for his success. About Ted: Ted is a silly little rascal with a big heart who thrives on fun, exploration, and connection. He’s looking for a patient, committed adopter who can help grow his confidence through gentle guidance, consistent training, and thoughtful socialization. Ted is easily frightened by loud noises, barking dogs, and unfamiliar people, but with love and support, he can learn that the world is safe. Despite his rocky start, he is ready to blossom and share his playful, curious, sweet puppy personality with the right person. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Biscuit #2 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Biscuit #2 | 11 weeks | Australian Shepherd Mix with a playful heart Biscuit is an 12-week-old Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 15 pounds, and he’s every bit the happy, confident puppy you’d hope for. This light-brown little guy is playful, affectionate, and loves being close to his people. He enjoys toys, chew bones, and snuggling under the covers, and he has an endearing habit of hiding his toys and resting his head on you when it’s time to relax. Biscuit is very social, loves meeting new people of all ages, and is friendly and outgoing with other dogs. Biscuit is well on his way with house training and already knows to run to the back door when he needs to go outside. During the day he uses a doggie door and does great, with only occasional puppy accidents. Crate training is progressing nicely—he goes in with encouragement, especially since his meals are fed in his open crate, and while he may whine at first, he settles fairly quickly. Covering the crate with a blanket and leaving him a chew helps him feel secure when left alone for a few hours. Like most puppies his age, Biscuit is just beginning leash training and is still taking in the big wide world, preferring to stop and sniff everything along the way. He’s very smart, already knows cues like “sit,” “come,” and “no,” and is highly motivated by food, toys, and affection. He has classic puppy energy, loves to play hard, then happily curls up for cuddles. Biscuit is also in the teething stage, so continued guidance with play biting will be important. Biscuit would thrive in a home with another playful dog or an active family who can give him plenty of attention, structure, and ongoing training. He’s a sweet, snuggly, joyful puppy who is ready to grow up alongside a family committed to all the fun and learning that comes with raising a young dog.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . To ensure Nacho finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Nacho #1 | 3 ½ month old Aussie mix | Cuddly, playful little firecracker Nacho is an approximately 3 ½ month old Aussie mix weighing about 20 pounds, with striking orange and white coloring and a big puppy personality to match. He is equal parts playful and snuggly — a happy, affectionate boy who loves being near his people. He’ll happily rest his head on you, roll over for belly rubs, and if given the chance, burrow under the covers to cozy up. Nacho is almost fully house trained. He will whine and stand by the door when he needs to go out, though as with any young puppy, occasional accidents can still happen. He is doing great with kennel training — he goes in easily and often sleeps through the night, though he may whine occasionally. He has not yet been left home alone, as he’s still young and settling in. On leash, Nacho does fairly well but can pull, especially when he’s excited. He responds well to structure and is learning quickly. He already knows “sit” and is highly motivated by both food and affection, which will make continued training fun and productive. He is still working on taking treats gently, but he’s improving with practice. Nacho has had positive interactions with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. Because he plays enthusiastically and can be a bit rough in typical puppy fashion, a home without cats would likely be best. He has not yet met children. His energy level is medium — he enjoys playtime, fetch, chew toys, and walks, but once he’s had some activity, he’s content to relax and cuddle. He does have a vocal side and isn’t shy about expressing himself, which is something potential adopters should be prepared for. Overall, Nacho is a sweet, friendly, fun-loving puppy who will do best in an active home ready to continue his training and embrace all the joyful chaos that comes with puppyhood.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth.
