Story
Hi I am Lacey! I am a 7 month old, mini aussie/border collie mix, tipping the scales at just 25 lbs! I love to play with other dogs and am still learning how to be confident around people - especially men. I am a bit shy and scared still but adjusting well out of the kennel life! I love to play with my foster mom and foster sibling! I am still learning to understand boundaries with other dogs. Sometimes I can be a little pushy but I tend to respond well when corrected. Once I come out of my shell you can really start to see my playful nature. I love to chase balls and play with toys. I am so good at self entertainment. I am also really good at settling down once I have run around and played a bit. I play hard and crash hard, ah the life of a puppy. I also love to cuddle, give kisses, and receive belly rubs. I am potty trained - I only had a couple of accidents my first day at my new foster home but that's just because I was nervous. I have not had a single accident inside, or in my kennel, since then. Speaking of the kennel, I am working on getting into my kennel on my own. It is still a little scary sometimes but once I am in it I do great and am happy to nap a a little during the day and I sleep great through the night! I would love to find someone who is patient so they can help me become the best dog that I can! I am still learning many new things. I would also thrive in a home with someone who lives an active lifestyle to ensure I am able to get all my energy out. **Due to her being skittish she will need another confident dog in the home. It has proven to help her come out of her shell quickly. Exception if you have scared/skittish dog experience and have other confident dogs she can socialize with. Story
Freya is 4 years old and very energetic. She was a rescue dog and can be very protective and high alert. She tends to be more trusting and affectionate towards men. She needs someone who can take her on long walks or has a nice large yard for her to run and play. She tends to be apprehensive of strangers and takes some time to warm up to new people. Would be most suited with someone without kids or other dogs in the home.

Story
Hi my name is Hazel and I am pretty shy, but with the help of my foster mom I am coming out of my shell. I like to go for walks, but in a calm and quiet area. I like cats... but like to chase them. So I should probably be in a house without them. I like other dogs, and being around a confident dog would probably help me gain my own self-confidence. Small kids would probably be too much for me, but older kids that can respect my need for a calm environment, would be just fine with me. Please someone just give me a chance. This animal is in a foster home. If you would like to meet this animal, go to www.souldog.org to fill out an adoption application. When submitting your adoption application make sure to submit a good clear picture of your living room, kitchen, and yard. If you rent, you must provide proof animals are allowed. We will contact references. Once the application is reviewed our adoptions coordinator will send your information to the foster to set up a meet and greet. We ask that all members of the household come for a meet and greet to ensure there are no personality clashes. If you have other dogs in the home and are meeting a dog you must bring them for the meet and greet. Filling out an adoption application does not mean you will be adopting the animal. Doing a meet and greet with one of our animals does not guarantee you are adopting the animal. We will select the family we feel is the best choice for that animal after screening and meeting applicants.
