Story
Lux was born July 2017. I adopted him when he was 4 months old. He's good with kids and new people. He's such a lover and loves butt scratch's. He's house trained loves to go on car rides and does well at the dogs parks too. His one downfall is the guy loves the trash. For whatever reason anytime he gets his chance he will rummage through the trash. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Unfortunately I've had a schedule change and I am not home as often as I need to be therefore he has been acting up for attention and it's just not fair to him. He has a brother and a sisters he's more bonded to his sister, but I think would do fine if separated.

Story
Howie is 3 years old he is house trained. He does okay with other dogs if properly introduced. He has two other dogs he's lived with his entire life. Him and my other male dog have got into food altercations. But as long as he is feed separate no issues have been present. He's good with kids, tends to need extra time to warm up to males as he's only been a female.. because of the cattle dog in him when he gets excited or needs attention he nips at butts, never has harmed anyone while doing it. He loves to be outside and run often times will fight me to come inside. Rehoming due to my a new schedule change. I'm not home as often and it's not fair to my dogs to be home alone as much as they have been.

Story
Sequoia is a great dog. She is very smart and treat motivated, which makes it fairly easy to teach her new tricks. She knows all of the basic commands, sit, lay down, heal, leave it, stay (although this one she sometimes feels is optional, haha), along with a few fun ones too. She is crate trained. She is a high energy dog who would benefit from lot of stimulation, something that should be kept in mind for potential new owners.A few challenges we may face: she can be rather weary of new people. It may take some time for her to warm up to someone new and this process will likely involve a great deal of patience for the new owners. Additionally, we are unsure how she will be with other dogs. When we take her on walks she is more confrontational towards a new dog than she is curious. She is good with cats, mostly. We do have two cats in the home, but it’s important to keep in mind she is a herding breed. She does try to herd them and one of our cats is not very fond of her behavior.

Story
Meet Rita! She has the softest, black velvet coat that matches her soft personality. She is a quiet observer before she jumps into a new environment. Rita is great with other dogs and kids, starting to learn fetch, and is very food motivated which makes training easier! Rita would love another dog in the home to help her navigate the world that can be a little scary.  She is being fostered in Arvada and would love to meet her new family! ##2706873##

Story
Rooster is a handsome one-year-old cattle dog mix with a sweet soul and a playful spirit. This lovable boy enjoys the simple things in life — relaxing beside you while you watch TV, soaking up attention from his people, and stretching his legs outside where he can run and explore. Like many cattle dogs, Rooster has an active side and would thrive with a family that enjoys an adventurous companion and can give him plenty of exercise and enrichment. Rooster is settling into foster care nicely and continues to show what a sweetheart he is. Because he’s still adjusting and learning to trust new people and environments, his foster recommends a patient adopter who will give him time to acclimate and feel secure in his new home. A home with a secure 6-foot fence is strongly recommended, and using a yard leash during the transition period will help set him up for success as he bonds with his forever family. If there’s another dog in the home, Rooster would benefit from a slow, thoughtful introduction. Meet-and-greets are encouraged to help ensure everyone is a good fit. With patience, structure, and love, Rooster has all the makings of an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, active pup who’s equally happy cuddling on the couch and adventuring outdoors, Rooster may just be your perfect match! ##2722672##

Story
Tuuli here; in case you’re wondering about my unusual name it’s Finnish for wind and when I do zoomies I run like the wind, whether there’s a toy in my mouth, on my own or with the other dogs. So speaking of other dogs, do you have one or more that need a friend? I would love a home with a dog friend, you see I’m one of those shy girls who needs a pal to give her confidence and to teach her how to dog. I’m not clingy with my dog friends, I happily play and self entertain as well. I am slow to trust the 2 legged types but I am really curious about them and I’m trying to be brave.  I will need a yard as I have no real experience on a leash (we are working on it) also I get so much joy from sniffing and running. My kennel is my safe space, I sleep through the night and go potty outside.  I have a zest for life and I’m truly a happy loving dog looking for a quiet patient home. Are you the one to bring me out of my shell? I promise you will be rewarded with the most amazing sweet, loving friend. If it sounds like we could be a match I’m patiently waiting for you. Please fill out the application and thank you for reading my profile. If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $300 and I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations  ##2710814##

Story
Hi! My name is Willow Ray! I am a 2 year old (June 19 2023) spayed female dachshund/border Collie mix. I've lived with my current parents since I was 8 weeks old and have 3 other siblings, I have recently decided that I would like to be an only child! I LOVE to snuggle, sleep under blankets, be outside in ANY weather, and go for walks. I am kennel trained (kennel up) and never go potty in the house. I know my basic commands and am very gentle when it comes to food/treats. I am not a fan of car rides but i do okay for them and not a fan of young kids. I am really scared of loud noises like fireworks and thunder. I am a very sweet girl but just want a home I can be center of attention! Can't wait to meet you soon! Willow is a very sweet and loving girl but has gone after and injured one of the other dogs. She is cautious with new people and can get nervous but once she warms up she is a lover! She has never hurt a child but does not like young children. She deserves a good home and life
