Story
Hi, I’m Charlie. My foster family tells me I am very smart and have lots of energy and personality. I am very quiet, but I let them know when I need to go out. In the short time I have been with them, I have learned to play fetch with my favorite frisbee and tennis balls. I am very inquisitive and always looking for the next thing to grab my attention. I am working on knowing which toys I can play with and would appreciate your patience while I learn. I love to be near my humans and would do best in a household where one works from home and is able to spend time with me, take me for walks and play with me. I am potty-trained, I can walk on a leash, and I’m always ready to greet both humans and fellow dogs on my walks twice a day. I am well-behaved in cars going to my next adventure. While I can tolerate grooming/brushing, I can be impatient to look for something fun to do. I am a free range eater but I had a feeding schedule in my previous home. I am crate trained for sleeping and when my humans leave the house. I am looking for the right family to match my high energy and friendly nature. If you want to meet me, please fill out an application.  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $350 and I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations  ##2444608##

Story
This is Bruno, we took him in when he was a puppy when previous owners could no longer keep him. He is 6 years old will be 7 in October. He is the sweetest dog ever does great with kids and is ever so gentle. I just feel he needs to be a inside dog. He has alot of anxiety with thunderstorms and fireworks. He does well being someone’s companion. He loves being around people. But with his anxiety he requires to be inside but with my living situation it’s something i can no longer do.

Story
Rowan will be 5 years old on August 1st. He is smart, loyal, and full of energy. True to his breed, Rowan thrives on physical activity and mental stimulation and listens well with structure and attention. He’s affectionate and bonds deeply with his person. While he enjoys playing with other dogs at daycare, he prefers to have his home and human to himself. We believe he’ll do best as the only dog, where he can soak up all the love and form a strong one-on-one bond. He loves being outside - swimming, hiking, kayaking, camping, playing fetch, or running. He’d be thrilled with an owner who includes him in daily walks, hikes, or bike rides (with some training). Rowan isn’t just active - he needs regular activity to stay happy and well-behaved. That’s why we’re looking for a new home that better matches his lifestyle. He’ll thrive in a home with a yard or open space and someone who understands herding breeds. If you want a devoted adventure buddy, Rowan may be your perfect match.

Story
Piper is energetic full size (she’s about 50lbs) Australian Shepard who I’ve had since she was a puppy. It breaks my heart to rehome her, but I’ve had a change in my personal life and have to travel quite a bit now. It’s been very difficult make sure she’s has someone to care for her while I’m gone. She’s shy and nervous around people she doesn’t know, but she loves “her people.” As she, gotten older she’s become less tolerant of other dogs, but would be okay with another mellow dog. She’s also a natural herder, so probably won’t be a good fit for families with young kids running around. Loves hiking, fetch and frisbee.

Story
Meet Paisley – Pretty, Playful, and Full of Heart Paisley—affectionately known as Princess Paisley—is a young Australian Cattle Dog mix with confidence, brains, and a whole lot of love to give. Outgoing, social, and playful, this spunky girl brings joy and energy wherever she goes. She’s already mastered sit, lay down, spin, shake, high five, and jump, and she’s eager to keep learning—especially if there’s praise or affection involved! Paisley is crate trained, housebroken (she skipped puppy pads and went straight to outdoor potty training), and rarely barks unless she needs something. While she’s still working on her leash manners and can be a strong puller when walking with her brother, she responds well to structure and positive reinforcement. She enjoys the company of other dogs and plays well in group settings, making her a great match for an active household with canine companions. Paisley is high energy and thrives in an environment where she can stay physically and mentally engaged. She’s happiest when she gets to play outside, explore, learn new things, and then cuddle up for a cozy nap. She’s still learning not to jump when excited, especially around new people, but her loving and affectionate nature shines through. If you’re looking for a smart, spunky sidekick who’s full of heart, Paisley is ready to be your adventure buddy and cuddle companion—all rolled into one. ##2314332##

Story
Dimitri is a happy, smart, and affectionate young Australian Shepherd mix who’s ready to bring joy and adventure to a forever home. He has a big heart, a gentle spirit, and a spark of playful energy that makes him an absolute joy to be around. Dimitri loves people and is always eager to be near his humans—he’ll quietly follow you from room to room and is happy just knowing you’re close. He’s incredibly respectful in the house: fully potty trained, crate trained, never chews on furniture or toys, and never tries to take food from the table or other dogs. He listens beautifully to commands like “off the couch” or “off the bed,” and learns new routines quickly. He’s a rule-follower at heart and loves having a gentle structure to guide him. Dimitri also loves being around other dogs and is very friendly in his interactions. He’s playful and curious, and even though he’s still learning how to match other dogs’ energy, he always means well. He plays gently and never escalates things—even when corrected by another dog, he reads the cues and respects boundaries. Because he has a lot of puppy energy, sometimes his enthusiasm can outlast the other dogs, but he’s making great progress learning when to tone it down.Despite that, he’s never pushy or dominant—just happy, excited, and still learning. He’s also great on walks and enjoys being outside. While he still gets excited and pulls a bit on the leash, he’s already improving with each walk and has wonderful off-leash recall. He comes when called, doesn’t try to run away, and listens beautifully in open spaces. Dimitri is the kind of dog who thrives with a family that will keep him active, offer loving guidance, and include him in everyday life. He’s loyal, fun, smart, gentle, and deeply affectionate—and he's going to make someone an incredibly lucky companion. ##2442149##
