Story
Hi, I’m Charlie. My foster family tells me I am very smart and have lots of energy and personality. I am very quiet, but I let them know when I need to go out. In the short time I have been with them, I have learned to play fetch with my favorite frisbee and tennis balls. I am very inquisitive and always looking for the next thing to grab my attention. I am working on knowing which toys I can play with and would appreciate your patience while I learn. I love to be near my humans and would do best in a household where one works from home and is able to spend time with me, take me for walks and play with me. I am potty-trained, I can walk on a leash, and I’m always ready to greet both humans and fellow dogs on my walks twice a day. I am well-behaved in cars going to my next adventure. While I can tolerate grooming/brushing, I can be impatient to look for something fun to do. I am a free range eater but I had a feeding schedule in my previous home. I am crate trained for sleeping and when my humans leave the house. I am looking for the right family to match my high energy and friendly nature. If you want to meet me, please fill out an application.  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $350 and I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations  ##2444608##

Story
Piper is energetic full size (she’s about 50lbs) Australian Shepard who I’ve had since she was a puppy. It breaks my heart to rehome her, but I’ve had a change in my personal life and have to travel quite a bit now. It’s been very difficult make sure she’s has someone to care for her while I’m gone. She’s shy and nervous around people she doesn’t know, but she loves “her people.” As she, gotten older she’s become less tolerant of other dogs, but would be okay with another mellow dog. She’s also a natural herder, so probably won’t be a good fit for families with young kids running around. Loves hiking, fetch and frisbee.

Story
COMING 7/23 WILL BE AVAILABLE 8/1 CHECK OUT STACY AND JESSIE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR HOMES Meet Nola! This 2 year-old, 33-lb Australian Shepherd is a petite, fluffy sweetheart with a soft red merle coat and an even softer heart. Nola has been through more than any dog should. In her previous home, the owner’s father beat her and the other dogs, leaving them all outside to face the elements with no protection, no kindness, and no comfort. But despite her past, She remains gentle, calm, and full of love. She’s submissive, sweet-natured, and absolutely adores people. She’s also great with other dogs—big and small—and gets along beautifully with kids. Nola is potty trained, enjoys car rides, and is the kind of girl who finds joy in the simple things: a cozy corner to rest, a kind hand to pet her, and the feeling of finally being safe. She’s grateful, well-behaved, and ready to be someone’s loyal, loving companion. She is looking for an active home that can give her the best adventures and love for the rest of her life as she is a higher medium energy dog Please do not apply if you want a low energy dog She is a little escape artist in her crate but with enough exercise this should get better Comes fully vetted and with 2 free dog training sessions

Story
Buddy is an absolute delight!  He a little over a year old (est bd 3/31/24), but still a pure puppy at 85 pounds.  He loves to play with toys, anything with a rope, knows how to sit on command, and is working diligently on the down command! He is crate trained, house trained, and working on his leash training skills. He loves snuggles, and if you let him, he will be a lap dog (he doesn't know his own size).  He gets along great with other dogs and is very curious about our cat, but the cat has never gotten close enough to see what would happen. Buddy has a little bit of an anxious temperament around new people and places, and takes a bit of time to warm up.  The ideal home for Buddy would be one with another dog to play with and patient people to make him feel at ease. Put in an application at eapl.com His adoption fee is $375    July 5, 2025, 2:58 am

Story
Rowan will be 5 years old on August 1st. He is smart, loyal, and full of energy. True to his breed, Rowan thrives on physical activity and mental stimulation and listens well with structure and attention. He’s affectionate and bonds deeply with his person. While he enjoys playing with other dogs at daycare, he prefers to have his home and human to himself. We believe he’ll do best as the only dog, where he can soak up all the love and form a strong one-on-one bond. He loves being outside - swimming, hiking, kayaking, camping, playing fetch, or running. He’d be thrilled with an owner who includes him in daily walks, hikes, or bike rides (with some training). Rowan isn’t just active - he needs regular activity to stay happy and well-behaved. That’s why we’re looking for a new home that better matches his lifestyle. He’ll thrive in a home with a yard or open space and someone who understands herding breeds. If you want a devoted adventure buddy, Rowan may be your perfect match.

Story
Koda is a 2 year old neutered Border Collie mix that came from a home with an inexperienced handler that was not able to properly fulfill his needs. Currently fostered with a dog trainer. He has a sweet and silly personality and is people and dog friendly but can show signs of over arousal during play with other dogs and needs someone that will continue to hold him accountable in those moments. Would do well in a home with owners that will keep up with his current level of training including mental, physical and biological fulfillment. He is a high drive, high energy breed, training will allow him to relax and have an off switch when needed. He is a great patio pup and an even better adventure buddy! All training done: Great leash manners- no pulling Knows heel, sit, down, “here” (recall), tone recall, place, kennel and “out” (drop it) Ecollar trained and off leash reliable Muzzle Trained Crate trained/potty trained Food and toy motivated Settles well in home Will chase cats, NO CATS
