Story
Bear is a sweet Mini Australian Shepherd, about 25–30 lbs, with a loving and affectionate personality. We’ve had him since he was a few months old, and he has been a very good dog. He loves to “dance,” cuddle, and get attention. He bonds closely with his family and does great with kids. He’s not a big barker and usually only alerts when someone approaches. He is not neutered. Due to life changes and a baby on the way, we need to rehome him and his brother. This isn’t an easy decision. We’re looking for a responsible, loving home that understands the energy and intelligence of the breed and can give him the time and structure he deserves. Serious inquiries only. His wellbeing is important to us. 💛

She may take a bit of time to warm up, but patience and understanding will be rewarded with the genuine affection she has to offer. In a calm and nurturing environment, Daisy's playful side starts to emerge, revealing a delightful personality that's just waiting to bloom. Adopt Daisy, and watch as she unfolds into the wonderful canine companion she was meant to be, bringing love, joy, and a touch of reserved charm into your home.History: Daisy, a sweet pup, was initially adopted from OHAR as a young and hopeful addition to a loving family. Unfortunately, circumstances changed, and her family made the difficult decision to return her. This sudden turn of events left Daisy heartbroken and bewildered, as her familiar world crumbled around her. Now, in a new environment, Daisy is in the process of adapting to her changed circumstances. As we uncover more about Daisy's personality and journey, her bio and photos will be updated to reflect the resilient and lovable spirit that defines her.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Meet Cody One year old. Twenty five pounds. One resilient little heart wrapped in a fluffy Mini Australian Shepherd mix body.   Cody’s story did not start the way it should have. After being adopted for free from Dallas Animal Services, he was quickly forgotten instead of cherished. He was later found severely underweight and covered in fleas, clearly neglected and left to fend for himself. And yet… somehow… this sweet boy still loves with his whole heart. That tells you everything you need to know about him.   Today, Cody is thriving. He is crate trained, great on a leash, and promptly handles his business when taken outside like the polite gentleman he is. He’s doing wonderfully with potty training and truly wants to please. He would do just fine in an apartment as long as he gets plenty of walks and some fun dog park playtime. He loves other dogs, enjoys children, and fits beautifully into an active, loving home.   At just 25 pounds, he’s the perfect “take me everywhere” size. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming, playful without being chaotic, and loyal in that quiet, steady way that makes you feel chosen.   Cody has already experienced the worst of what humans can offer. Now he deserves the very best. A family who feeds him well, keeps him healthy, takes him on adventures, and never makes him question whether he belongs.   If you’re ready to give Cody the life he should have had all along, please apply below:   Adoption Application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/13108/generic   Located in North Texas but transport available to approved adopters out of state. Transport fee applies. ##2665361##
