Timber is a very smart dog she’s been trained to sit and she’s house trained, played with families and friends dogs very well. She’s loved around the house and will be missed but with school and work it’s hard for me to get her out and let her live and I would rather her have a family that can make that happen, I hate to let her go but I’d rather her have a more better life in a better environment.

Meet Maui! She is a 5 mo old female Black Mouth Cur/Siberian husky mix that weighs 27lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 6/25 as she was abandoned. Maui is a beauty with soft, clean fur and docked tail. It appears she was well cared for at one time. She walks well on a leash and takes treats gently. She is Rescue Only due to an issue with possibly her hips or right leg. When walking her right leg is a bit stiff, and her gait a bit uneven. She doesn`t let this stop her tho. She gets around well and can`t resist a zoomie in the yard. She has a gentle loving personality and will lay down next to you to be close and cuddly. It`s very clear how wonderful of a loving companion she would be. Living indoors being showered with love and affection is what she dreams of. Marshall is charming, cheerful, confident, and cuddly! He’s a very attractive dog that appears to have been well taken care of. His coat is a clean, pristine white and very soft. He will definitely turn heads when you walk him through your neighborhood or at the dog park. Marshall is a one-year-old 45 pound Australian Shepherd/Akita mix that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/6 as a stray. He’s tricolored, and is a medium sized boy. He frolicked joyfully back-and-forth in the shelter yard. He sits for treats and takes them gently. He occasionally jumps on you in order to get close. He gets down when told to do so. So he is well behaved. Besides having some puppy behaviors, he also gives puppy kisses! He’s friendly, frisky, playful, affectionate, and attentive. He walks OK on a leash. He did his business as soon as he got out into the yard.

While he can be shy and timid when meeting new people, Jake is a gentle, sweet dog who blossoms with time, consistency, and kindness. He would do best with a calm family willing to help build his confidence and is not recommended for homes with children under 10 years old. A well-mannered resident dog could help him adjust, and any current dogs should meet him prior to adoption. Jake's adoption fee is $125.
