Beautiful Bella Bear BELLA BEAR is the sweetest girl! She's extremely smart and she knows how to pick up on cues easily. She it’s so cute and cuddly sometimes she looks like a little bear cub, a perfect snuggle sister for humans or for a male companion dog.     Bella knows several commands, including :  sit, stay, wait, leave it, drop it, go potty, and come here (sometimes, she may give you a paw if you hold your hand out) but she can still be trained because she loves treats!    Bella loves toys that she can destroy, a chew toy from time to time but what she enjoys most of all is a game of fetch! She will not play outside by herself in a backyard -- you MUST come play with her. She does know the difference between her own toys that she can play with and your belongings.   Bella loves walking/jogging on leash alongside her people; she loves being outside for any reason! She loves belly rubs, and in return, loves to give kisses of affection. She loves barking when people walk by the home or the fence - she will always let you know someone is nearby.    Bella isn't territorial for her own space but she will make any place in the house (especially the living room or your bed) her comfort spot unless you train her not to .   Bella enjoys being around dogs that want to play.  She would be really happy to have a companion dog, a large male who’s yelling and fun like her to play with.   Bella is housetrained and she will bark in the middle of the night if she needs to be let outside.   Bella is a great little dog. She’s the perfect size and the perfect energy level to be a companion to people or a family or to a male dog companion.   To apply to adopt sweet BELLA BEAR, please complete the application on our website below then text:   Sara: 214-549-9905 & Kevin: 469-623-3999   So one of us can check your application!   Thank you!   www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Sugar was abandoned in Graham several weeks ago. After spending time in a foster home in GrahamSherry Bennett, she’s now settling in here in Dallas—and she’s already come such a long way. Sugar is still learning about the world. She’s very shy at first and will bark when meeting new people, but there’s no aggression behind it—she just needs a little time to feel safe. Once she gets a chance to sniff you and settle in, everything changes. And when she knows you? She’s yours. Sugar becomes incredibly loyal and attached, happily following her person from room to room just to see what you’re doing. She’s curious, gentle, and quietly observant—almost cat-like in the way she explores, finds cozy hiding spots, and then pops back out when you call her name. Despite likely never having lived indoors before coming into rescue, Sugar has adapted remarkably fast. Within just a day, she warmed up to my home and the other dogs. Within a few days, she was showing glimpses of what it means to just be a happy, normal dog—something she may never have experienced before. She’s very quiet overall and rarely barks except when meeting someone new. I fully expect this to pass when she becomes settled in her new home . Sugar enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a calm, friendly companion—especially a male dog—who can help continue building her confidence. Sugar has a lower energy level than a typical Aussie (at least for now). She recently had her first little “zoomie” moment—lasting about a minute—before returning to her favorite cozy spot like nothing happened. It was as if she surprised herself. Sugar is still figuring out toys and play, and right now she’s much more interested in exploring her surroundings and observing the world around her. I’m pretty sure that she didn’t have a lot of attention in her past and that’s why she likes to just be with her humans more than she likes to entertain herself or others.!@ What Sugar Needs Sugar is not a “project dog,” but she does need a patient, understanding home that will give her time to fully decompress and adjust. • A calm home environment • No small children (for now) • Patient adopters who will help and encourage her as she transitions “from country dog to city dog” • No pressure for busy outings, dog parks, or lots of visitors right away. Those days will come, but for now the comfort and security of being home with people she knows is what’s best for her transition time. Sugar is about 90% housebroken and doing very well with routine. She just needs consistency and regular access outside. She actually loves being in her crate; I can explain more when I speak to an applicant or try not to let her use the crate too much because otherwise she might just decide to stay in it all day, but it is a great tool for continuing house training and a comfy place where you can leave the door open and she can go there to decompress whenever she wants to Because she came from a rural environment, normal suburban life—traffic, noise, new activity—is still a bit overwhelming. With time, stability, and trust, she will continue to blossom. A Little More About Sugar Sugar weighs about 18–19 pounds and I think she may be a Border Collie . She has adorable half-prick ears, a beautiful tail, and sometimes shows that classic “herding stance” when she’s outside observing something interesting. However, Sugar not particularly prey-driven; doesn’t chase squirrels or birds, so she should do well with dog-savvy cats. In a few hours or a couple days, it takes to have sugar buildup trust she becomes a completely different dog; she gives kisses, cuddles, and the kind of quiet CALMcompanionship that makes her incredibly special for her breed ⸻ Interested in Sugar? If you feel like your home could be the right fit for this gentle, sensitive girl, please complete an adoption application from our website below. Then text Sara at 214-549-9905 so I can review your application and get back to you! www. dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Enzo already knows several commands including sit, lie down, and shake. He’s highly food-motivated and eager to learn, which makes training both fun and rewarding. In fact, he’s so clever that he’s even figured out how to open doors with pull-down handles! This sweet boy is very devoted to his people and loves being part of the family. If someone leaves the room, Enzo will often wait patiently by the door or try to follow them. When his people are in different places, he may happily trot back and forth between them to make sure everyone is still together. Enzo’s favorite moments are when the whole family is in the same place. Like all young Aussies Enzo is still a fun, active, playful dog.He loves carrying things around in his mouth—blankets, sleeves, or anything he can grab—and gets especially excited about toys and chew items. Plastic bottles are one of his favorite things to chomp on, and he enjoys interactive playtime that keeps him busy and engaged. Enzo is also quite the foodie! While he enjoys healthy treats like carrots, apples, and even a little yogurt, his absolute favorite reward is cheese. Enzo would do best in a mature home with older children or adults. An active home where he can play, learn, and stay mentally stimulated would be ideal for him. With his intelligence, loyalty, and playful spirit, Enzo is sure to be a wonderful companion a person or couple you have experience with Australian shepherds or other herding breeds. We would REALLY LOVE Enzo to go to a home that had another dog for him to play with. Enzo would get along fine with either a male or a female, but one who is bigger than him, but also has moderate to high activity level and is interested in a playmate and canine companion. IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER Home   Dutton is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd -Collie mix with the kind of gentle, loving personality that makes you fall for him almost instantly. He’s one of those dogs who doesn’t just like people… he really loves them. If given the choice, he’ll happily leave the dog crowd behind just to come sit at your feet and soak up attention.   This sweet boy is incredibly smart and already has a great foundation—he knows “sit” and “shake,” and his recall is excellent.    Dutton is the kind of dog who wants to be connected to his person, which makes him both easy to work with and a wonderful companion.   Dutton does well with other dogs, though he’s still figuring out how to actually play . Right now, he’s more of a polite greeter—he’ll sniff, say hello, and then wander back over to his humans for reassurance and cuddles. It’s clear he hasn’t had much experience just being a carefree dog yet, but with a little time, confidence, and the right environment, we think that playful side is just waiting to come out.       Dutton would thrive in a home where he can continue to build confidence, feel safe, and most importantly—be close to his people. Whether that’s lounging next to you on the couch or following you from room to room, he’s happiest when he’s with his person.   If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and incredibly sweet companion, Dutton may be your perfect match  General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Story
***  SOOKIE IS A COURTESY POST  ***  INTERESTED APPLICANTS WILL BE DIRECTED TO CURRENT GUARDIARN *** Meet Sookie – Brains, Bounce, and a Big Border Collie Heart Sookie is the kind of dog who turns a backyard into her own agility stadium. With her athletic build, sharp focus, and joyful leaps, this gorgeous Border Collie absolutely loves practicing jumps and showing off her impressive air. Watching her mid-flight is like seeing a tiny four-legged gymnast in action. But Sookie is more than an athlete. Once she knows you, her serious “working dog” expression softens into something incredibly sweet. She leans in for affection, seeks out her person, and happily melts into pets after a good play session. With her people, Sookie is deeply loyal and wonderfully affectionate in that special Border Collie way. She forms a close bond and loves being near the person she trusts. Because Sookie is thoughtful and sensitive, she thrives with a home that understands her need for a little time and patience when meeting new people. She isn’t the “center of the party with strangers” type. She’s more of a “let’s get to know each other first” kind of girl. Give her that space, and the reward is an incredibly devoted companion. Sookie would do best in a home that can provide: • Slow, positive introductions to new people• A calm environment without small children• A cat-free home• Either life as an only dog or with a very playful, well-matched canine friend• Thoughtful, gradual introductions to other dogs An active home that appreciates the brilliant Border Collie mind will be the perfect match. Whether it’s agility, training games, hiking, or simply learning new things together, Sookie is ready to partner with someone who enjoys engaging both her brain and her athletic spirit. At the end of the day, after the jumps are cleared and the energy is spent, Sookie’s favorite place is right beside her person, soaking up affection and enjoying the quiet connection she values so deeply. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent companion who can soar over jumps and then curl up close for cuddles, Sookie might just be your perfect teammate. ##2678098##

Story
We got him a shelter in Collin county. Buddy is a sweet dog but our older dog that we already have has a hard time getting along with Buddy. Buddy is an only child kind of dog and I think it’s best He goes to a home that has no other pets. Buddy is potty trained and loves people. Buddy gets attached very quickly and loves to go on walks and running around in a backyard. Buddy loves to cuddle and loves to play with his dog toys. Buddy is just a great dog to have around that just wants to be loved by his people.
