Story
Waylon is an (almost) 8 year old dog with the energy of a 1 year old pup. If the energizer bunny came to life, it would be Waylon. His favorite game to play is fetch. He is a very sweet boy who loves people and being involved in what’s going on. He does get along with other pets, but he does have a tendency to guard food. He is very smart and listens well, and has proven to me he’s never too old to learn new things. I’m hoping he can be placed in an active home with lots of space to run, and people who can keep him busy and loved. I have had him since he was 2 months old, and I am beyond heartbroken to have to give him away. Thank you for considering Waylon!

Story
A gentler, more loving soul has never been found.Myles adores being loved on by humans...the minute you sit down he will be by your side looking for some puppy luv! He was in a temporary foster home, where the person worked from home and Myles was happy to just chill out while she was otherwise occupied.Myles is crate trained, but once he gets use to your routine, he'd prefer to chill on his bed while you are out and about - he enjoys watching the world go by out the front window and is all tail wags when you return.Myles loves other dogs and will play ever-so-gently with those smaller than him. He would love to have a canine companion that would go for walks with him through the neighborhood.Could Myles be your soulmate? Connect with OHAR to learn more!Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Story
Harper is a stunning Australian Shepherd with a striking marbled, brindle coat. Her heart as big as the outback. She loves to meet people and can be a bit overzealous when greeting strangers. Despite her enthusiasm, she is quick to learn and respect boundaries. She is a true sweetheart and is very gentle with children. Very affectionate, social and playful. Her breed is very active: being a working breed, she does have a tendency to herd smaller animals and other dogs when she first meets them. She loves to run, play fetch, and tug-of-war. This breed needs a lot of exercise! As she is getting older, she has gotten lazier and thus, fatter. Would do wonderful in an active household with active kids and a large yard. Is leash reactive so "walking" is not easy if other dogs are present. Knows lots of tricks and loves to perform. Treat motivated! Needs to be brushed out weekly as Aussies shed quite a bit. Bath recommended 1x month. Very patient and tolerant with handling (grooming etc).

Story
Oh my gosh, are you here to read more about little ol’ me? Oh, where do I start! Well, I’m just a happy doggo trying to live my best life and match up with a new family. DAS is helping me search, isn’t that cool? We’re still getting to know each other, but I think we’re going to find me some great friends. I’ve let them know that I enjoy long walks on warm evenings, trying all kinds of new snacks, and chewing on doggie toys. Who doesn’t love those things? Speaking of snacks, I’ve heard that Dallas is an exciting doggie-friendly place for food enthusiasts! I’d love to check out a few patios some day with my new family. Does that sound like something you’d enjoy, too? I sure hope so… maybe you could click that “Adopt Me” button and we’ll get to know each other better!

Story
My name is Richard and my friends at the shelter tell me I am a very good boy. I can be a little shy at first, but if you give me a little bit of time I really come out of my shell. I walk very nicely on leash and the people here think I might be potty trained because I always try really hard to keep my room clean. I did come in as a stray, so my past is a mystery, but I'm excited to see what my future holds. Could it be with you?Foster Testimonial: "He is fantastic on a leash and might be an excellent running dog. At home, he coexisted peacefully with my cat. They could both be in the same room each doing their own thing. He did not bark but liked to know where the human was at all times and he followed me the whole time. I believe he will be an amazing bed or couch dog. I gave him permission to sit with me and he would join on his terms. He loved being on the bed by himself! He eats his medicine well, does not rush to eat, and loves chicken! While he takes time to warm up to people, he is ready to love!"Dogs: I've done well with other dogs including some small ones! I do prefer my play pretty low-contact and I generally am happy to just hang out with other dogs. If that sounds like your dog, I'm sure we will get along great. You are always welcome to bring your dog(s) to meet me before we head home.Cats: Sure! My foster home had a cat and I think they are pretty cool! Kids: Well, like I said I can be a little shy at first and since I came as a stray my friends don't know if I've ever been around kids. I think I would do well with them, but I'd like to meet kids under 5 before we go home.Come meet me today at 2400 Lone Star Drive!
