Story
Blooper is a great dog who just needs a great home! We moved to a smaller lot and we just feel terrible for her here. We use to leave her outside while we were at work and she loved it. Since moving, we have a smaller yard and a very mean neighbor dog. She has been around small children all 4 years of her life and has never had any problems. As a Shepard dog is fond of annoyed grunts when my children bother her but always quickly excuses herself from the room. She has always been fine with other dogs and doesnt bark much. She has killed chickens We could keep her and would love to but for her sake we are looking for a new home. We are only looking for a new owner who has some space for Blooper to run. The only problems weve had with her (chewing and whining) were only after we moved. If you have some land, Blooper would be the perfect dog for you! She was born on a farm to two working Shepard dogs so she has the instincts. She really is a sweet dog that will love you forever

A gentler, more loving soul has never been found.Myles adores being loved on by humans...the minute you sit down he will be by your side looking for some puppy luv! He was in a temporary foster home, where the person worked from home and Myles was happy to just chill out while she was otherwise occupied.Myles is crate trained, but once he gets use to your routine, he'd prefer to chill on his bed while you are out and about - he enjoys watching the world go by out the front window and is all tail wags when you return.Myles loves other dogs and will play ever-so-gently with those smaller than him. He would love to have a canine companion that would go for walks with him through the neighborhood.Could Myles be your soulmate? Story
** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Tracy Johnson; 214-697-7362 ** Meet Scout (aka Muffin.  The shelter called her Muffin, but we felt Scout was a better fit.  Feel free to re-name her when she is yours).  This soft-coated, beautiful dog is being fostered by our son in who is a college student in Waco, but Scout frequently visits us in Rowlett and will be with us most of July.  Scout is believed to be an Australian Shepherd mix, approximately 2 years old.  She is energetic, smart and loves to cuddle.  She is trained to sit & fetch, loves to go on walks and can entertain herself with her toys.   I cannot say enough wonderful things about Scout and would love to keep her, however we recommend that Scout goes to a home where she will be the only pet. She LOVES humans, smiles when she sees them, but Scout does not get along with other dogs (of any size) or cats.   Our male dog was incompatible with Scout as he can be skittish and aggressive.   After getting to know this sweet girl, we are confident she will be an amazing pet for the right person or family.  Scout is a true angel with our special needs nephew. Actually, everyone Scout meets falls in love with her, especially the neighborhood kids.   She is also great in the car (road trips or running errands)  she’s a little doll in public stores.   Also, she rarely has an accident in the house and is crate trained. Scout has been spayed.  At this time, she is heartworm positive, but scheduled for treatment in Waco on July 17th.   We will take care of this expense and will provide heartworm prevention medication for one year. We are committed to finding her a home as the Waco shelter does euthanize and we are not going to allow that to happen. Please contact us if you are interested.   We have plenty of videos and pictures to share.April 19, 2024, 3:50 pm

Story
Archer is a two year old Australian Shepherd/Husky mix. He was adopted from the Mesquite Animal Shelter, and is currently up to date on all his shots/vaccinations. I had a work-from-home job lined up that unfortunately fell through. I had to find another job, which resulted in me working at a distribution warehouse with 12-hour shifts. He spends most of the time in the crate and not enough time out of it. Archer is housebroken and let's you know when he needs to go outside. For the short time I've had him not once has he had an accident inside my home. Does fine with other dogs, though it may be preferable to have dogs around his size as he can get a little rowdy playing. Also older kids would be ideal due to how rowdy he can get. He will do best in a home without cats as there have been a few instances where he's wanted to chase some local strays when taking him out for walks. Also a yard is highly recommended, but does fine in an apartment

Story
Harper is a stunning Australian Shepherd with a striking marbled, brindle coat. Her heart as big as the outback. She loves to meet people and can be a bit overzealous when greeting strangers. Despite her enthusiasm, she is quick to learn and respect boundaries. She is a true sweetheart and is very gentle with children. Very affectionate, social and playful. Her breed is very active: being a working breed, she does have a tendency to herd smaller animals and other dogs when she first meets them. She loves to run, play fetch, and tug-of-war. This breed needs a lot of exercise! As she is getting older, she has gotten lazier and thus, fatter. Would do wonderful in an active household with active kids and a large yard. Is leash reactive so "walking" is not easy if other dogs are present. Knows lots of tricks and loves to perform. Treat motivated! Needs to be brushed out weekly as Aussies shed quite a bit. Bath recommended 1x month. Very patient and tolerant with handling (grooming etc).
