She may take a bit of time to warm up, but patience and understanding will be rewarded with the genuine affection she has to offer. In a calm and nurturing environment, Daisy's playful side starts to emerge, revealing a delightful personality that's just waiting to bloom. Her face lights up with happiness as she revels in the gentle touch that brings her comfort and reassurance. If you're ready to be the sunshine in Daisy's world, offering her the patient and loving home she deserves, you might just find that this pup becomes the brightest bloom in your life. Adopt Daisy, and watch as she unfolds into the wonderful canine companion she was meant to be, bringing love, joy, and a touch of reserved charm into your home.History: Daisy, a sweet pup, was initially adopted from OHAR as a young and hopeful addition to a loving family. Unfortunately, circumstances changed, and her family made the difficult decision to return her. This sudden turn of events left Daisy heartbroken and bewildered, as her familiar world crumbled around her. Now, in a new environment, Daisy is in the process of adapting to her changed circumstances. As we uncover more about Daisy's personality and journey, her bio and photos will be updated to reflect the resilient and lovable spirit that defines her.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Hi! I'm Tails! I'm an approximately 2 year old, male, Aussie/Heeler mix who weighs about 45 lbs. I was found with a friend on Firewheel Drive in Rockwall County and brought to the shelter on 04/12/2025. Sadly, I was never reclaimed. I am a sweet boy who enjoys the company of other dogs and people of all ages! I am not suggested with cats or dogs smaller than I am. I enjoy long walks and snoozing on a comfy bed. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine and basic boosters. I did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I will be able to receive treatment for my heartworm disease at little to no cost to my adopter. If you have any questions about heartworms or my treatment protocol, please feel free to ask an RAC staff member. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ once submitted, RAC staff will be in touch with next steps.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. May 12, 2025, 1:25 pm

Story
Hi! I'm Trixie! I'm an approximately 3 year old, female, Australian Shepherd mix. I am a sweet girl and very smart girl! I know basic commands like sit, stay, come and am leash trained. I have not yet met a cat but I do well with kids however I am suggested with children over the age of 13 years old. If you have another dog in the home a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption to ensure we get along before deciding to adopt. I love to run and play and am excited to find my furr ever home! Meet and greets will be by approved application only. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative. I was diagnosed with a skin issue that seems to be either a metabolic issue or stress related. I have been treated with Bravecto as of 05/01/25. Once in a home along with a proper balanced diet, hopefully my hair will grow back to its normal beautiful self. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet with approved applicants.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
