Story
Personality: Daisy is a sweet and gentle soul, a delicate bloom with a heart full of love waiting to unfold. Despite her initial reservations, Daisy is a loyal friend once she trusts you. She may take a bit of time to warm up, but patience and understanding will be rewarded with the genuine affection she has to offer. In a calm and nurturing environment, Daisy's playful side starts to emerge, revealing a delightful personality that's just waiting to bloom. Daisy absolutely adores belly rubs and finds pure joy in the simple pleasure of being pampered. Her face lights up with happiness as she revels in the gentle touch that brings her comfort and reassurance. If you're ready to be the sunshine in Daisy's world, offering her the patient and loving home she deserves, you might just find that this pup becomes the brightest bloom in your life. Adopt Daisy, and watch as she unfolds into the wonderful canine companion she was meant to be, bringing love, joy, and a touch of reserved charm into your home.History: Daisy, a sweet pup, was initially adopted from OHAR as a young and hopeful addition to a loving family. Unfortunately, circumstances changed, and her family made the difficult decision to return her. This sudden turn of events left Daisy heartbroken and bewildered, as her familiar world crumbled around her. Now, in a new environment, Daisy is in the process of adapting to her changed circumstances. As we uncover more about Daisy's personality and journey, her bio and photos will be updated to reflect the resilient and lovable spirit that defines her.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Bea Arthur is a sweet, senior soul who absolutely lives for her outdoor time—especially between 5–7 pm, when she can roll in the grass and keep an eye on all the neighborhood happenings. It’s her favorite way to unwind and soak up the world around her! Bea has a wonderfully calm, easygoing personality. She enjoys her walks and is steadily building up her stamina, but once she’s back home, she’s happiest curled up near you—or better yet, right in your lap. She’s the perfect mix of “let’s go for a stroll” and “let’s cuddle on the couch.” She does great with routine and independence. Bea likes her crate, is also comfortable relaxing in her foster space, and has shown she’s potty trained—going out every few hours and even holding it for longer stretches when needed. Bea is confident in public settings and takes new environments in stride. While she hasn’t yet met her foster’s resident dogs due to quarantine, the shelter shared that she previously enjoyed spending time with her yard-mates. She’s also been noted to do well with cats, making her a wonderful option for a multi-pet household. Recently, Bea was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, which is currently being well managed with a simple daily medication. Senior dogs can sometimes feel intimidating, but Bea is a great reminder that age and medical needs don’t define quality of life. She’s sweet, chill, and lives a very “normal” day-to-day life—often surprising people with just how easy she is to care for. Bea Arthur is backed by The Happy Pet Project’s Medical & Adopter Support teams, who will help set her adopters up for success every step of the way!
