APPLICATION REQUIRED from www.dashdog.org Adoption Fee $350 ***We don't know how to make this more clear: OUR APPLICATION IS NOT THE PETFINDER APP; OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org. PLEASE complete OUR application if you are interested in meeting our dogs or puppies! Without OUR application being completed, you WILL NOT be considered or receive any communication from us. Thank You! ***AND our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND TAKE HIM OR HER HOME!   Casper IS A GORGEOUS Heeler-Aussie mix. The perfect blend of loving, smart, and loyal; Casper is a great size and would be an excellent playmate or single dog. Casper is lovable and gentle but he’s still a herding mix so he has incredible energy. He is very intelligent, playful and loving and eager to please his people. Casper will be as energetic as you need when outdoors to walk, run, play and hike but when home he will also happily snuggle on the sofa, binge TV or just lie at your feet while you’re working. Casper is very loving and smart but deserving of more attention than owners can give with baby on the way; he would enjoy continued training and a lot of playtime and exercise. Casper has been around female dogs and various cats. He knows basic commands and is completely housebroken and crate-trained. Casper is a great walking, jogging and running partner. Casper is really smart, a quick learner and eager to please. Leash trains quite well but could use some continued attention. We really want to find Casper a home with a yard and an active human companion or companions. He would also love to run around with other dogs - he’s just better for teenagers and adults not small children because he needs herding breed experience. We had lots of land and lots of property and he loved running all over the place with his dog siblings. Unfortunately, we’ve had to move to a much smaller location and even worse our entire fence was destroyed in recent storms and we don’t have the money to fix it so we’re having to find homes for all of our dogs. We want them to have better lives than we can give right now Cooper's energy level alternates depending on the situation - it’s been 8-9 recently because we haven’t had the time to spend with him, but really when he gets regular exercise and some playtime, he settles down and just absolutely loves to cuddle like a bear. Cooper loves to sit in your lap, give kisses and hugs and ride in cars. He will be your velcro dog for sure! He barks at anyone new but once he knows that you are okay with them, then he is okay. He has never been aggressive. He just has a good solid bark. Cooper   has always had dog friends to play with, he was the shadow of Our female Shepherd mix, but is also fine with our male Pyrenees. It would be great to find him a home with at least one other dog because he’s always had canine companions. We are so sad to have to rehome our dogs, but it might be meant to be because they do love running around outside, but they sure won’t turn away a nice home with the air conditioning blasting cuddling on the sofa, watching TV or movies and maybe trying to sneak one of your snacks or maybe two! Since we learned the hard way that our dogs are not really meant for livestock, we reached out to DASH to help them find more suburban homes where they could be indoors more, but get all the attention they deserve. All the love you give Cooper he will pay back 1000 fold. He’s a true blue buddy dog and a faithful friend. He’s loving and loyal. I’m just an all-around terrific Australian Shepherd for a loving family. Story
Kenny was at a local shelter and on death row due to space. He was a shelter favorite. He is super handsome as you can see and just as sweet. He loves kids and other dogs and was acturally surrendered by his owner because their young child was afraid of dogs even though he loved the child. How sad for him! He is super smart and knows several commands. He is housebroken, and needs an immediate foster or adopter to save his life. He is a year old and weighs just a tad over 50 lbs.  Applications are at codysfriendsrescue.org ##2420987##

He was adopted from the shelter last year, but his family really didn’t know about the Australian Shepherd breed not that they’re complaining because he’s been a wonderful pet, but they know that he deserves more attention than they can give His owner has written a bio for us to share. “My work life changed from remote to in office and I also have a teenager that plays sports, we’re not able to give him the time and attention he needs. Rio’s outside Energy Level can be 8-9 but he will take naps and settle down after playtime or a good walk. He probably will need more leash work, but he’s an eager pleaser very quick to learn.. Rio loves strawberries, blueberries and socks. He will grab my sock then run and face the back of his kennel so I can’t reach it lol. I think he does it on purpose to get a treat for he will be smiling the entire time. If I grab his treat bag he will drop it but once I get in the kennel he always lets it go. Rio loves to sit under your legs. He will lift them up to do so. He also thinks he’s a lap dog and will climb in your lap any chance he gets. He love belly rubs and will sit right on your feet to get them. His instincts are impeccable. Once he was barking at the door and I went to go see, not even two seconds later my brother pulled up. I was amazed he could sense that. My daughter would always dance with him so he would probably have to be retrained from wanting to be on his hind legs! Habits: Rio wakes up faithfully around 630 but he will stay quiet until you are up unless he has to potty. He is house and crate trained and when he has to go, he will come up to you and give this soft bark. He barks at strangers initially then he’s all licks. Rio is a better dog for older kids who have large breed experience. He played nicely with my three year-old niece, but I kept him on a leash. He is very smart ands catches on quickly. He knows stop, stay, wait, potty, paw, no, and sit. Rio has spent very little time around other dogs definitely no longer than for a day he hasn’t been to very many public places except for the vet which we feel bad about, but that’s why we want to find him a better home. We’re just too busy and it’s not fair to him.. Rio has never been aggressive toward us or other people and is always very excited to greet us. A great home for Rio would Would be a family that unlike us, knows a lot about hurting dogs and has the time and attention to spend playing with them and continuing training. Rio is well trained, but he hasn’t really had the chance he deserves to go out and show off all of his skills. Rio is barely a year old so he is still a puppy, but without all the puppy habits; he will be the perfect fit for a family that loves Aussies and we think it would be great for him to have a big female canine companion to keep him company and help him socialize more.” If you’re interested in setting up an adoption meeting with beautiful Rio and you’re looking for an energetic active playmate for yourself your family and your other dog please complete our application on the website below APPLICATION REQUIRED from www.dashdog.org  Adoption Fee $450 - the fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE and is not specific for any dog or puppy; it goes to the expenses of the organization as a whole* OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org and must be completed in order to set up a meeting. This is Tango! He is an Australian shepherd, about 1-2 yrs old. He is a silly, energetic little man that loves to run after bunnies and birds, but also knows how to chill at my feet when working. He decided to take an unexpected swim in the pool and knows how to swim just fine.  He is great with kids and other dogs and has gotten RAVE reviews from all who have had the pleasure of making his acquaintance.  You should meet him, you won't regret it! ##2405978##

Cupcake has been living with several other Aussies her whole life and loves being around other dogs. We would like to underscore that Cupcake will need time to become a suburbanite and won’t come in ready for shopping trips, patio restaurants and overstimulating activities right away; she’s a sweet, gentle soul but used to the quiet, peaceful sounds of the country. Cupcake can take a little longer to warm up to people. Her owner says “Once she knows you, she’s your best friend and your shadow for life.” Cupcake and 3 of her “siblings” are being rehomed due to a divorce and a necessary change in housing for her owner. She loves her dogs and is heartbroken but knows she cannot give them the financially sound and attentive lifestyle they deserve. Cupcake would do best in a calmer, quiet home. She’s grown up with a young child but the child is extremely dog-savvy and gentle. Visiting children are ok but we want Cupcake to live in a home where she’s the baby Cupcake would be very happy with a male companion dog or two as both comforters and playmates. Cupcake is leash-trained but rarely leash-walked; suburbia will be new to her so like all rescue dogs she will need time to decompress and acclimate to her new environment.
