Story
Zeus is a sweet and loving 7 year old dog. Unfortunately after caring for him for the last 7 years I’m no longer capable of taking care of him. We moved here from Portland Oregon and I’m working two jobs while also in school. Zeus is a wonderful and adorable companion. He has a lot of energy and requires more attention than I can give him. Zeus enjoys long walks and snuggling up with his human. He loves being outside so hopefully looking for a new home with a yard. He also enjoys playing in water and eating ice. He is leash reactive and doesn’t always get alone with other animals. He loves kids but can be a bit too energetic for small children. He’s also a bit protective of his human so on walks if people get too close he may lunge at them.

Story
We got his mom from another family who couldn’t keep her. Turns out she was pregnant. We fell in love with two of her babies. Balto is one of them. He was born June 5th, 2018. As of now he is 7 years old. He is the sweetest most active dog! Though he also likes to nap near you. He will alert you of strangers. He was raised with a cat. But you gotta introduce them slowly if you have one. He get very excited and some cats take it as hostile. Also, loves the dog park! After losing my dad, my mom cannot take care of him anymore and I can only take one of them.

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We rescued Mako off the highway outside of Midlothian when someone dumped him along with his entire litter and parents. Someone was able to wrangle the rest of the family and as we were driving off, Mako was wandering around away from the rest of his pack and was left behind. We took him in trying to find him a home and he started to grow on us and we decided to take him in as part of the family for a while. As time has passed, he’s continued growing much bigger than we imagined and he never misses an opportunity to play, especially with other dogs. Unfortunately, with our busy schedule and moving between a couple different apartments over the last year, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to meet his needs and let him run free and play as much as he’d like to. He will make a great addition to another family who is experienced with large dogs and has the facilities to let him play freely. (Will include his kennel, treats, toys, and a large bag of food upon adoption)

Story
Let's go Eevee! This fun, energetic girl will Pokémon-go with you on any adventure. Eevee is a rambunctious bundle of energy that would fit in great with a family that gets outdoors and has space for her to run around at home. She is a bit of an attention hog, so she will do best in a single-dog home, but she has lived with both a cat and a dog and may be able to settle in with the right animal friends with enough time and training. Eevee needs animal companions that are respectful of her space when food is out, or to be fed separately. Owners and animal friends would need to be able to handle her high energy play-drive, so similar sized dog friends may be best. Eevee has lived with a toddler for two years, but may be better with older children after a slow introduction. Eevee is smart and very trainable. Earlier in her puppyhood, Eevee did a 3 week board and train and has some basic obedience training that, while rusty, could easily be honed further. She's showed aptitude for agility-style courses, and can be convinced to do most anything with the right treats. Eevee's prior trainer has stated that he would give any new owner two free training sessions to support Eevee's transition into a new home. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Eevee, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
