She will drag all toys, chewies, blankies and extra dog beds into her favorite bed, then climb in for a nice snooze. It's adorable. Dorothy is probably 8-9 years old but she doesn't act her age. She enjoys running in the yard with her foster siblings. She isn't playing with them yet but engages in lots of play bows. She's housebroken, crate trained, dog and cat friendly. She's a good sized beagle, her ideal weight is around 30 pounds but she's carrying around a few extra pounds right now. Dorothy needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. Melanie is a little timid when meeting new people an in new situations but she comes around quickly if you offer up some tasty treats. She has been a pure delight in her foster home, an easygoing girl who loves a good cuddle on the sofa and a sniff around the yard. She's dog friendly and enjoys spending time with other dogs but we think she'd be fine as an only dog as well. Melanie is good with kids but toddlers make her nervous.
