She's extremely selective with new dogs, might prefer smaller than her as she barks and howls at new dogs. She prefers softer spoken people over louder, deeper voices.Would probably be best in a quieter home that has a good routine for her. She's not going to be a world traveler or enjoy doing a lot of new things.She will use pee pads inside if she has to go out when you are gone. She will need to be crated or kept in a room while you're gone as she can become destructive if left out. She will be spayed on Friday May 1 and can leave on adoption after that. Mural's adoption fee is $250She is vaccinated, flea & tick treated, negative for Lyme or heartworm, on heartworm preventative, given dewormer, will be spayed and microchipped before adoption. You can stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. We're located at 9331 State Route 124 Hillsboro, OH. Our adoption is open and easy, please come to the shelter to meet the animals in person to adopt.

MAXXI is a fun and friendly Jeagle (Jack Russel Terrier/Beagle)-type mixed breed boy. He's playful and charming, a little bit timid but so very sweet. He's a leggy little guy, about 2 years old and fully grown at 19 pounds. Maxxi is dog friendly and would be so happy to find a home with another playful, friendly dog. Maxxi was an owner surrender in a rural shelter along with his buddy Blaze. Maxxi is best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard where he can run and play with a dog pal. Story
BREW is an adorable 7-8 month old mixed-breed pup looking for a home. He is sweet, playful and crazy for food. Our best guess on breed is -- wait for it -- beagle/Shar Pei. That's a new one on us! He has the biggish slightly wrinkly head of a Shar Pei and the physical size, coloring and body type of a lemon beagle. Brew came to us from a rural shelter with his brother Hoss. Hoss looks more like a Shar Pei, Brew looks more like a beagle. Brew is currently 21 pounds, our best guess is he will be 25-30 pounds when fully grown. He is remarkably chill for a puppy his age. Brew doesn't have a high play motor but he loves his squeaky toys. When playtime is over, Brew is happy to cuddle and nap. Brew is a bit on the shy side and does enjoy the companionship of other dogs. He would benefit from having another fur sibling. GATOR is a sweet, easygoing 2 year old beagle boy looking for a home. He came to us after being on the run in a rural area for a month. We have to say he's the chonkiest stray we've ever met -- he tipped the scales at 43 pounds when he arrived (he should be around 32 pounds). All of the good people in the area were feeding him as they tried to catch him. Gator was living the beagle dream, food everywhere! Thankfully he was finally captured and now he's ready to settle down with a family of his very own. Gator is on a diet and he has some strong opinions on the subject. Beagles. If you know you know. Gator is good with everyone -- he loves attention from people and going on long walks. He's fine with cats and other dogs but doesn't seem particularly interested in finding a playmate. He's housebroken and crate trained. He needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. CUPCAKE is a sweet girl looking for a home. Cupcake is a Heinz 57 Varieties-type mixed breed girl who came to us from a rural shelter. She's listed as a beagle mix, she's probably a beagle plus 6 or 8 more breeds. Cupcake is about 18 months old and fully grown at 32 pounds.
