Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Merlin! If your ideal dog is the stay at home, watch TV, and relax all day kind of dog, Merlin is your man! At around 45 lbs and 5 years old this beagle mix fella is the most handsome introvert, and while he doesn't enjoy going out in public to show off his good looks he's happy to share all the love and affection with the people he trusts in the safety of his home. Merlin would excel in a home with structure and routine without a lot of excitement. He does extremely well with cats and other dogs, and has learned alot about "how to dog" from his canine friends in his foster home. Merlin has some mild vision impairment which is more apparent at night, but he has no issues navigating to his comfort places, the outdoors, or finding his people. In true introvert style Merlin takes a little longer to adapt to change, but with patience and understanding he will make a wonderful companion to the right family. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for a cuddle buddy? Do you feel like you have way too much personal space? Then wow am I the dog for you! My name’s Bandit and I’m about a year old. I think I’m a beagle mix, but I also have really pretty blue eyes. I love snuggling on the couch and running around the backyard. I’m still learning to like the car and being on a leash, but I’m coming around. I have the best recall my foster mom’s ever seen. She just says my name and I come running, no matter what I’m doing! I love squeaky toys! I’m good with dogs and cats. I haven’t met any kids up close yet, but I’ll let you know as soon as I do!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
BLOSSOM is a sweet petite mixed breed girl looking for a home. She's around 2 years old and fully grown at just 21 pounds. She appears to be a puggle-type mix, maybe 75% beagle/25% pug? That's our best guess. Blossom is timid in new situations and when meeting new people but warms up quickly with yummy treats. She's best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard and a friendly dog who will help her navigate her new life. Blossom landed in a rural shelter with her sister Butterfly. If you'd like to meet beautiful little girl, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Blossom at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
JOSEPH is a stunning chocolate/red beagle looking for a home. He currently has a small blemish, a cherry eye, which will be surgically corrected by our vet. Once that's fixed he'll be so handsome it should probably be illegal. Joseph is a typical beagle, good natured, an absolute fool for treats and just a little bit mischievous. Joseph is good with other dogs and thinks cat food is more interesting than cats. He ignores cats. Joseph is about 5 years old and fully grown at 29 pounds. He needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Joseph, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Joseph at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
