Story
Our sweet Mitzi is around 2 years old, completely vetted (spayed, vaccinated, HW tested) and super sweet. She is on the mellow/timid side, and would really love a calm home with a fenced-in yard. Another pup to play with would be a definite plus! If you are in the Pittsburgh area and interested in Mitzi, please go to our website to submit an application. Home visit required, adoption fee $300.  ##1695266##

Story
Hello! My name is Timber and I am a 2-year-old boy Beagle weighing in at 27lbs. I have been in my foster home for about a month now with my brother, Lumber, and two Beagle foster sisters. I was a tiny bit shy at first but I love meeting new people now and will not hesitate to get some attention from anyone and everyone. I love my food and treats! I have learned to go to my “eating area” for my food and I take treats very gently. It took a little while for me to learn to sleep the whole night through in my crate but I really like my crate now and will go in it for naps on my own. I especially like the “good night treats”. When our foster mom has to run errands or work, she will put me in the crate with a treat. I like the TV on or the music playing softly when I am in my crate. I love the outdoors and toys! I empty the toy boxes daily and try to take all the toys outside to play with. I play well with my foster sisters and my brother but I don’t play well with the cat. I am still learning to respect things that are not mine like my foster parents’ shoes, gloves, charging cables, etc. I do very well with doing my business outside and I learned to ring bells on the door and go out through the doggie door in the mud room. I tested positive for Giardia and just finished my medicine. I will need another fecal test in 30 days. Otherwise, I am a smart, very active boy. I am still learning to walk on a leash nicely and my foster Mom thinks I would enjoy and do well going to classes for training because I like to be busy. She thinks I would do best with someone that is home a lot with me. Another dog would be a big plus too! I hope I find my forever home soon! Story
I’m Kermit. I’m a very sweet 4-year-old boy about 22 lbs. I love to give kisses. I like to go on walks and will potty on a leash. I like to chase small animals. My Foster mom is trying to get me to stop, but, I’m a work in progress. I tried to chase a kitty, the other day, so it will be better if there are no cats in my new home. I’m good at riding in a car and will just lie down in the back seat. I’m pretty good about going potty outside but did have a couple of accidents in the house. I get anxious when left alone so I really need another dog in the house. I sleep in a crate at night and when the resident dog goes to doggy daycare, but, the foster mom does not crate me when she leaves the resident dog is home. Contact Midwest BREW for more information! Story
Hi! My name is Red! I'm the absolute sweetest boy. I have all the love to give to my future human family, but I'd probably be happiest in a home with at least one dog I can learn from, chum up to, and play a bit with. I'd love to be part of a human AND dog pack. I'm a bit of an anxiety muffin if you leave me on my own, but it's just because my foster family says I' ve not had enough time to unlock the secret to being confident in my own skin. They also say I' ll really thrive in a stable situation. I've mostly figured out the whole " potty outside" thing, but I give you the subtlest of hints as to when I need to go. If you open your heart to me, you will most definitely get it back twofold as I want to be your best boy!  NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
Johnny is a young beagle who wants someone to have fun with him and continue to teach him the ropes. It is guessed that he is about a year old. He was treated for Heartworm by another rescue group and was moved to Midwest BREW. Like most young beagles he loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home but I think he would be okay being the only dog in a home too as long as he gets enough exercise. He is working on housetraining, he's still young, but he's getting there. As long as he goes out frequently he does okay. He is also doing well with crate training.  As a typical young beagle, he LOVES treats and will do whatever you ask for them, even come running from the back of the yard for them! He would benefit from some basic obedience classes because of course he does 't know how to give toys up yet and would prefer you chase him and bargain for a treat instead (he thinks it's a fun game). If you are looking for a young active beagle who is willing to learn, he could be your man. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
This energetic, smart, loving beagle girl Suzy is 8 years old, 27 pounds, has long legs, and could easily win the longest tail contest. Suzy trots on fast-paced walks where she can investigate smells and search for squirrels, rabbits, and cats around the neighborhood.  Suzy is friendly to people and some dogs, ignores other dogs, and is occasionally distracted by others while zig-zagging the sidewalks. Suzy needs an outdoor fenced yard and sometimes indoor gates.  She is learning to enjoy 30-60 minutes of quiet time in her crate. Suzy does well in her crate during car rides to the park and likes to listen to music for longer rides.  She listens, responds to her name, and knows what to do and where she is supposed to go after only a few tries. She goes outside and gladly does her business in the yard and on walks.  In the yard or the house, she will let you know when a car pulls up or someone is coming to the door then warms up quickly to human house guests. She is fed in separate rooms from the resident beagle buddy and is only fed dog food. Suzy does like to check out "people food" on counters and tables. This good little girl has learned to stay in the other room when the family eats at the table. Suzy loves to be with her foster mom, hanging out in the yard, joining her on the couch, and taking naps. When it's time to go to sleep for the night, she has her doggie bed at the foot of the bed, where she can see her foster mom and sleeps soundly all night long.  If you'd like to learn more about this sweet and affectionate girl and see if she'd be a perfect fit for your family, please contact Midwest BREW. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
