Kiwi is a super playful and smart girl. She even plays gently with smaller creatures like cats and rabbits. She is potty trained and has caught on quickly to simple commands like Sit and Stay. Kiwi is shy at first but quickly warms up. She was born 6/29/2019We got Kiwi & Peaches from the shelter as itty bitty pups, and soon found out that both of them had CHV (Canine Herpesvirus). Most puppies die at 2 weeks from this, however these two were fighters and besides runny noses here and there, are doing really well. They can have it the rest of their lifes and will be sick from time to time and because there is just not a lot documented on situations like this we have no idea what their future health could be. Sweet Opal was found in February 2021 with her babies. She was completely feral and seemed like she had never had human contact. She went to a foster home where she got to spend time with her babies until they were ready to be adopted. As soon as she was ready, she was brought to our facility where she would be in contact with more people and start socializing and trusting people. It has taken several months but the staff and volunteers can walk her on a leash a little bit more each day. Her friend Huey gives her more confidence. She would do good in a home where she can come and have her space and take her time to warm up. She will shy away and but does not get aggressive at all. That`s the reason we want her to make a smooth transition when finding her forever home. Opal would do great with a doggie sibling that could teach her to accept love and learn to be a happy trusting dog. We love her at the rescue and hope she finds that family to love and trust. Opal is believed to be between 2 and 3 years old. I don't care how old you are or what you look like, but in case those things matter to you, that's me, the hunky guy in the pictures, with the silky, soft fur and soulful eyes. My Foster Mom thinks I am a Border Collie and Great Pyrenees cross. My perfect match would be someone who loves giving me tummy rubs and snuggles and wants to spoil me rotten, never leaving my side. I don't mean to brag, but people tell me I'm a lot like Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson as everyone is my family, I am funny, could be a great action star, and... I'm BIG and a softie at heart! When I'm not admiring your every move, I love toys and romping around the yard. So, what do you say? Wanna be besties? That pretty much sums up Mr. Harley. He is everybody's best friend and thinks he is a 55 lb lap dog. But don't let that fool you, he is still very much an energetic puppy in his behavior. He is a big goofy dog with so much personality. He has BC smarts with the Great Pyr soft and loving nature. Harley was found as a stray in OK and he does need a well maintained tall fence, as he is a free spirit and finds many things way too interesting and he easily jumps a 4' fence. Harley takes to training easily. He is food and toy motivated and will need to continue his manners work. He may be rough around the edges, but has SO much potential.
