Story
Meet Jasper! A soulful three-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie/Rottweiler mix currently in Colorado Springs, CO, whose calm, loving heart is wrapped in a stunning 70-pound merle coat. With the gentle spirit of a wise old friend and the quiet loyalty of a true companion, Jasper is the kind of dog who will melt into your side on a cozy evening and follow you room to room just to be close. Jasper thrives in peaceful surroundings and forms deep, meaningful bonds with his people. He does well around children and enjoys their company, but he would do best with calm or older kids who understand boundaries and know how to treat him gently. Loud or high-energy play can make him uneasy, so a respectful home environment will help him feel safe and content. He’s a mellow guy who doesn’t need much to be happy: a soft spot to relax, the comforting presence of his caregiver, and maybe a treat puzzle or two to keep his brain engaged. Food-motivated and clever, Jasper knows a delightful list of commands like sit, stay, paw, spin, and even “middle”, a trick that’s as cute as it sounds! He’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and perfectly content when left alone, making him a great match for someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. While Jasper doesn’t require intense exercise, he does enjoy slow, sniffy walks where he can take in the world at his own pace. His favorite pastime? Being in the same room as you, soaking up your presence like sunshine! After being involved in two traumatic incidents with unfamiliar dogs, one when he was a puppy and another more recently, Jasper has developed a strong reactivity to dogs he doesn't know. He may bark or lunge when he sees them, especially near fences or in close proximity, and he continues to work through that with training and patient support. That said, he’s done well with familiar dogs in controlled settings, showing that he can feel safe with the right structure and trust. He’s happiest in a home with a fenced-in yard and a caregiver who values companionship, consistency, and quiet. Loud noises can startle him, but with reassurance, he settles easily. Jasper isn’t just a dog, he’s a constant companion, a quiet presence, and a gentle soul waiting for someone to see the beauty in his sensitive heart. If you’re seeking a loyal, low-key friend who will return your care with quiet affection and soulful eyes, Jasper may just be the one waiting to share your next chapter! Story
Murphy is a handsome 1-year-old neutered male Border Collie with a striking black and white coat, bright intelligent eyes, and a fluffy coat that`s just begging to be petted. This sweet, energetic boy is ready to find a family that can keep up with his adventurous spirit while giving him all the love he deserves.Like many Border Collies, Murphy is an active dog who loves to run, play, and explore the world around him. A home with a securely fenced yard or an active family who enjoys walks, hikes, or outdoor adventures would be the perfect fit for this fun-loving guy. When he`s out on walks, Murphy has great leash manners and enjoys taking his time to stop, sniff, and soak in the scenery.Murphy already knows how to sit on command and is happy to work for tasty treats, making him a great candidate for learning even more. He`s a people-oriented pup who enjoys staying close to his favorite humans and happily leans in for pets and affection whenever he gets the chance. To help Murphy feel secure and set him up for success, we recommend providing him with a crate for sleeping and for times when you`re away from home. Having his own cozy space can give him comfort while also providing peace of mind for his new family. His beautiful fluffy coat will need regular brushing to keep it healthy, soft, and looking its very best, but Murphy is sure to enjoy the extra attention that grooming time brings. If you`re looking for a smart, affectionate, and energetic companion who`s ready to be your adventure buddy by day and your loyal best friend by night, Murphy just might be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet him today—you may just find your new best friend!

SWEET SWEET SWEET! Found as a stray dumped in the country. Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist. He passed all his tests with flying colors. We are happy to share her evaluation with any prospective family. Finn is about 3 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped. He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. For more information on adopting Finn, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com or call 903-967-3226.

A bit nervous at first. Likes to snuggle once she gets to know you. Loves "Easy Cheese"! Super high energy, dances around on her back legs. Potty trained. Knows sit, paw, and good on a leash. Luna is currently in a foster home. She doesnt like to be touch in the face so she will do better in a home with older kids. She can still be met with and adopted, but by appointment only. Story
Meet Baker!! Baker is an 8 year old tri-pawd, but don’t let that fool you! He still has plenty of energy and loves to play! Baker originally came to us from a local animal shelter after being hit by a car and sustaining an injury to his front leg, causing it to be amputated. He has fully healed from his ordeal and doesn’t even miss his leg! Baker still has a good amount of energy and LOVES to use his brain for training. He can be pushy if he thinks he could get away with it, so an owner that can be a strong leader that sets boundaries is a must. Otherwise, he is like a kid and will try to run the show:)! Baker gets along fine with most other dogs (but would do well as an only or with dogs that respect his boundaries) and has lived well with cats. Baker is VERY smart, and knows all his basic commands, such a good boy! He is a big snuggle bug, too! He loves to get his belly rubbed and says “thank you” with the sweetest puppy dog eyes! He is crate trained and potty trained as well. Baker is such a good boy, he even got invited on TV to show off his goodest boy traits! Make sure to watch the news clip in his pictures! Baker is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. If you think you could be Baker's family, please visit our website to fill out an application to learn more about him! www.maziesmission.org

Story
Izzie is a very sweet, smart, and active girl. She is a medium girl who would benefit from a family committed to taking her on long daily walks (she walks very well on a leash), playing fetch and other games, teaching her commands, and training her to be her best self. She currently lives in a foster home with a much smaller dog, and does well with him, but any small dog home should be discussed because of their size difference. She hasn’t been around cats but I think she’d see them like she sees bunnies - as something to chase. Loves: ◦ Humans ◦ FOOD ◦ Squeaky toys ◦ Destroying squeaky toys ◦ Belly rubs ◦ Walks Curious About ( by curious I mean she’d run right off a cliff trying to catch one): ◦ Squirrels ◦ Bunnies ◦ Lizards Does not like: ◦ Being alone for too long ◦ The vacuum cleaner ( don’t worry she’ll protect you from it) You can find out more about Izzie on her Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/beauandthefosters?igsh=eHg4NmExMjB5cTlx&utm_source=qr Izzie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is on the DFW area and ready to be adopted! If you are interested in learning more about her, contact us at www.maziesmission.org/adopt
