Macaroni is a stunner.  He was found as a stray and no ne came looking for him.  He is about a year and a half and weighs 60 lbs.  Might be a Border Collie/Shepherd mix?  or some Aussie?  He has energy and is snuggly/clingy, confident and active.  He is  Crate trained, loose-lead walks, he knows safety commands and fun tricks. Has completed beginner and intermediate training classes. He gets along with cats; no interest in rodents. He is cautious around new things but pivots easily.  ##2712972##

Story
Meet Jasper! A soulful three-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie/Rottweiler mix currently in Colorado Springs, CO, whose calm, loving heart is wrapped in a stunning 70-pound merle coat. With the gentle spirit of a wise old friend and the quiet loyalty of a true companion, Jasper is the kind of dog who will melt into your side on a cozy evening and follow you room to room just to be close. Jasper thrives in peaceful surroundings and forms deep, meaningful bonds with his people. He does well around children and enjoys their company, but he would do best with calm or older kids who understand boundaries and know how to treat him gently. Loud or high-energy play can make him uneasy, so a respectful home environment will help him feel safe and content. He’s a mellow guy who doesn’t need much to be happy: a soft spot to relax, the comforting presence of his caregiver, and maybe a treat puzzle or two to keep his brain engaged. Food-motivated and clever, Jasper knows a delightful list of commands like sit, stay, paw, spin, and even “middle”, a trick that’s as cute as it sounds! He’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and perfectly content when left alone, making him a great match for someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. While Jasper doesn’t require intense exercise, he does enjoy slow, sniffy walks where he can take in the world at his own pace. His favorite pastime? Being in the same room as you, soaking up your presence like sunshine! After being involved in two traumatic incidents with unfamiliar dogs, one when he was a puppy and another more recently, Jasper has developed a strong reactivity to dogs he doesn't know. He may bark or lunge when he sees them, especially near fences or in close proximity, and he continues to work through that with training and patient support. That said, he’s done well with familiar dogs in controlled settings, showing that he can feel safe with the right structure and trust. He’s happiest in a home with a fenced-in yard and a caregiver who values companionship, consistency, and quiet. Loud noises can startle him, but with reassurance, he settles easily. Jasper isn’t just a dog, he’s a constant companion, a quiet presence, and a gentle soul waiting for someone to see the beauty in his sensitive heart. If you’re seeking a loyal, low-key friend who will return your care with quiet affection and soulful eyes, Jasper may just be the one waiting to share your next chapter! To learn more or to welcome Jasper into your life, please reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com.

Story
Meet Pixel Paws Pixel Paws is a 7-year-old spayed Border Collie, about 69 pounds, with a wise-girl vibe and just enough spunk left to keep things interesting. She’s available for adoption now, and her adoption fee is waived.Pixel moves a little differently these days—she favors her front leg and has an old injury that’s left that side weaker and a bit stiff. Because of that, she’s more “easy strolls and sunny naps” than “zoomies and agility course.”She’s looking for a chill, comfy home where she can take life at her own pace, enjoy soft beds, and soak up the good stuff without too much strain.Pixel Paws is proof that a dog doesn’t need perfect joints to have a perfect heart.

Story
Meet Baker!! Baker is an 8 year old tri-pawd, but don’t let that fool you! He still has plenty of energy and loves to play! Baker originally came to us from a local animal shelter after being hit by a car and sustaining an injury to his front leg, causing it to be amputated. He has fully healed from his ordeal and doesn’t even miss his leg! Baker still has a good amount of energy and LOVES to use his brain for training. He can be pushy if he thinks he could get away with it, so an owner that can be a strong leader that sets boundaries is a must. Otherwise, he is like a kid and will try to run the show:)! Baker gets along great with other dogs and has lived well with cats. Baker is VERY smart, and knows all his basic commands, such a good boy! He is a big snuggle bug, too! He loves to get his belly rubbed and says “thank you” with the sweetest puppy dog eyes! He is crate trained and potty trained as well. Baker is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. If you think you could be Baker's family, please visit our website to fill out an application to learn more about him! www.maziesmission.org

⚡ Meet Brandon – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Brandon is a 1-year-old Kelpie mix with a sharp mind, boundless energy, and a big heart! This handsome boy is always ready to go — whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, or just running zoomies in the yard. As a Kelpie mix, Brandon is smart, active, and thrives when he’s mentally and physically engaged. He’d love a home that can keep up with his fun-loving spirit and give him the structure he needs to shine. He’s super affectionate, loyal, and always excited to be part of the action. Brandon is still young and learning, so he’ll do best with a family who can continue his training and give him plenty of positive outlets for his energy. In return, you’ll get an incredibly devoted companion who’s always ready for the next great adventure. Story
Meet Spike This playful little guy was born in June 2025 and ready to find his forever home! Spike is full of energy and loves to play—whether it’s chasing toys or curling up for snuggles after a busy day, he’s sure to bring endless joy to his new family. He would love an active family and a yard to play in. His mom, Destiny is a sweet Shih Tzu. While his dad didn’t stick around, we believe he was a Australian Cattle Dog—so Spike primarily inherited that intelligence and lively spirit! If you’re looking for a fun-loving pup with a big heart, Spike might just be your perfect match. Puppies are very popular, so please note ONLY homes meeting the below requirements will be considered. This ensures the best overall environment for these little bundles. Applicant MUST have: * Another young playful dog (large or small dogs) in the house to help the puppy with stimulation and an active environment with lots of interaction. * No first time dog owners and owners experienced with herding breeds. * Household member age appropriate to physically care for the dog for entire life (16 years) * Children old enough to treat puppy with responsibility and care Please don’t apply unless you meet the above criteria. Remember we are volunteers doing the best we can to get back to you, and we appreciate your pat
