Story
Sydney is a 3 year old, 30 pound, spayed, healthy, athletic, SMART, fun Mini Aussie/Border Collie mix (with a few other herding breeds thrown in). She will bring a tennis ball to you many times a day to ensure your throwing arm stays in superior shape! She will follow you everywhere, make sure you know when it’s meal time, and, though comfortable sleeping through the night in a crate, enjoys the foot of your bed even more. Sydney’s best life will be as an only dog and she brings enough fun that you don’t even need another dog to keep you laughing and enjoying her sparkle. She is best in a home with no young children or small animals (that herding instinct is strong!). A large yard, big enough for long throw tennis ball fetch, frisbee, or even some agility equipment would be perfect for her. She has no experience with a pool, but odds are she would love that, too! Treat motivated, she loves to learn (currently learning to pick up her balls and toys, and place them where indicated, with a “Tidy Up” cue). Want a trick dog or pup eager to learn how to be your best companion? She’s your girl! Apply to adopt at bcrrt.com

Story
Harley ~1 year few months. Male. 55 lbs. Friendly with other dogs. Good with kids. Way too curious about cats! Since you're reading this, you're obviously looking for a new best friend, hey, so am I! I don't care how old you are or what you look like, but in case those things matter to you, that's me, the hunky guy in the pictures, with the silky, soft fur and soulful eyes. My Foster Mom thinks I am a Border Collie and Great Pyrenees cross. My perfect match would be someone who loves giving me tummy rubs and snuggles and wants to spoil me rotten, never leaving my side. I don't mean to brag, but people tell me I'm a lot like Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson as everyone is my family, I am funny, could be a great action star, and... I'm BIG and a softie at heart! When I'm not admiring your every move, I love toys and romping around the yard. So, what do you say? Wanna be besties? That pretty much sums up Mr. Harley. He is everybody's best friend and thinks he is a 55 lb lap dog. But don't let that fool you, he is still very much an energetic puppy in his behavior. He is a big goofy dog with so much personality. He has BC smarts with the Great Pyr soft and loving nature. Harley was found as a stray in OK and he does need a well maintained tall fence, as he is a free spirit and finds many things way too interesting and he easily jumps a 4' fence. Harley takes to training easily. He is food and toy motivated and will need to continue his manners work. He may be rough around the edges, but has SO much potential. Harley is currently located in the DFW area. For questions about Harley or to apply, contact us through bcrrt.com.

Story
Meet Fancy 12 years old • Female • 70 lbs • Border Collie Mix Fancy has lived a full life — and she’s ready to spend her golden years curled up with someone who’ll love her the way she deserves. At 12, she carries herself with the quiet confidence of a dog who knows exactly who she is: a loyal companion, a spirited conversationalist, and an absolutely devoted couch co-pilot. Don’t let her age fool you. Fancy has plenty of personality left to share. She loves her people fiercely and will make sure you know it — with soulful eyes, a wagging tail, and the occasional dramatic howl when she has something important to say. Fancy is a homebody at heart. She loves nothing more than settling in beside you to watch TV — yes, she actually watches — and soaking up every bit of affection you’re willing to give. She’ll lean into you, follow you from room to room, and remind you in her own vocal way that you are, without question, her favorite person. She’d thrive as an only pet or with calm, confident dog siblings she can warm up to on her own terms. Fancy has opinions about sharing her space, so a home where she can be the star of the show would suit her perfectly. Fancy is ready for a soft landing — a quiet home where she can be adored, comfortable, and truly at rest. Senior dogs give back so much more than people expect: gratitude, calm presence, and a love that asks for nothing except your company. If you’ve ever thought about opening your heart to an older dog, Fancy might just be the one who changes everything. Quick Facts • Loves her people deeply • Vocal and expressive — she will howl to let you know how she feels • Avid TV watcher • Best suited as an only dog or carefully matched with dog siblings • “Every dog deserves a forever home. Fancy’s waiting for hers.”

Billie is a 9 year old, 53 lb, spayed, fully vaccinated, sweet, lovable girl! She will gladly curl up next to you (or on top of you) and enjoy a good head or belly rub. Once she gets to know another dog, she loves having the company to play with. She does not do well with other dominant females, but is doing great with her foster brother who is submissive. She does good with older kids (6+) and loves to give kisses. She is leash trained and pulls only if she finds something good to smell or finds a squirrel she is interested in. She is looking for her FURever home and would love to be apart of your home!

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Gigi which is short for Good Girl and I am a very good girl. I am 4 years old and my life up to this point has been a roller coaster. I have never ridden on one but I am told they go up and down and round and round and that has been my life so far. My early life was spent with people who had too many dogs. They were never mean to us but couldn’t take very good care of us either. People came and took us all away from there and to a place where they took good care of us and made us all ready for new homes. I was adopted after a couple of months there and was very happy with my person for 9 months, then she got sick and couldn’t take care of me anymore, so she brought me back to the place where she got me. She was sad. ☹ I waited there again for my person. Then one day a lady came and took me away from there. She was Mama Laura. I went to live with her and Papa Mike and the “Pack”. They told me this was my foster home, and I would stay here and learn things until they found me the perfect forever home. I really like the pack and get along with all of them. There is Buddy the big Border/Aussie, Kenzie the little mini Border Collie, Mia a little Pomeranian who bosses everyone around, and Xena. She is afraid of people but likes dogs so we get along fine. There are also 2 cats. Mitzy and Hammy. Mitzy ignores me but Hammy and I are great friends. He plays with my tail and licks my face. I love him. I have been here for a while now and mama says it’s time for me to find my forever home. So, here is what I want in a home. I want a nice sofa to lay on because I am pretty chill, mama calls me a couch potato. I tell her I am a Border Collie, but she doesn’t understand. I don’t bark but I do talk to you. I have very soft brown eyes and smooth black and white fur. I would be okay with a canine or cat friend but also would like to be an only dog so I get all the attention. I would rather be in the house with you curled up at your feet or in your lap than anywhere else. Won’t you please take me home with you? Gigi is 45 pounds, healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and has been spayed and is heartworm negative and on preventative for heartworms and fleas/ticks. she loves her crate. We leave the door open all the time and she will go lay in it quite often. She knows sit and down and has learned to walk pretty well on leash. She is very laid back and calm. BCRRT is a Texas based rescue with fosters in TX and OK. Our adoption areas are TX, OK and surrounding states, we do not allow shipping/transport of dogs to other states. Velcro Companion: Captain Hook is looking for a co-pilot for life. He is a five-year old and 55 pounds, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and healthy. He is good with people, dogs, loves kids, is curious about cats (but has never lived with one). A devoted buddy who promises to follow you from room to room, just to make sure you are okay. With soulful eyes and a gentle demeanor Hook has never met a stranger. He greets everyone with a slow way and a gentle nudge for pets. He never barks, but makes guttural sound when he is happy or hungry. Does not pull on lead when walking and will also follow you wherever you walk or jog. Hook is a bubbly guy and always ready for a walk. He does get car sick ... so don’t feed him before transport. He slobbers a lot in the car, probably thinks he will be left. Hook lost his original Dad when he died and feels secure in a kennel. He often retreats to his kennel during the day. He uses a doggie door. He is afraid of storms so kennel him during thunder or fireworks. He is smart.... learned doggie door in one day. Does not climb on furniture, but wants to be a lap dog on the floor. Beautiful blue and brown eyed he has not had toys before. He now tosses them and carries them outside and doesn’t return them, but I think that is trainable. Basically, low-maintenance and high-affection. He is perfect!!!

Story
I need to rehome my male dog, Tucker. He is a little over 4 years old and very sweet. He needs a good yard and preferably other dogs to play with. He has been an indoor/outdoor dog and is well behaved inside. He is good with cat's. I am going through some major life changes and just am unable to keep him. Shots are up to date, he's neutered, and has been on regular heartworm and flea protection. So would like to get some reimbursement for those fees. Asking $100 or best offer.
