Shayne is 5 years old but still is very playful and loving but also still loves his naps! He loves to give you hugs ( all you have to do sit crouch down and open up your arms and he'll give you a big ole hug :) ) He loves to think hes small enough to be on your lap lol but is just a huge love bug. He is crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. He also knows how to sit, lay down, give paw, and place. He is also very cat and dog friendly, and would need to go to a home with a yard and another friendly dog to play with. He has gotten along with all the dogs that he has met, so he will have no problem adjusting. He is such a very very sweet, funny, playful and well-mannered dog and will give you all the loving you can ask for.

Story
Max is a smart, kind, loyal, and well behaved dog. I’ve been his only owner since he was 16 weeks old. He’s now 11 years old. The reason I’m rehoming him is our small children. When we had one he was always super gentle with him. But now that we have 2 and Max is a little older he is just a lot more clumsy with them. He is never ever malicious but has on several occasions rushed around near the kids and knocked them over pretty hard. We’re about to have another child and 3 small kids + 1 skidish dog + 1200 sq ft house is not going to end well. It pains me to rehome my dog of over a decade but he needs owners that have time for him. To take him on walks, cuddle him, and just have time for him. Being a working mom of almost 3 and having my kids constantly being run down by an 80 pound dog is taxing.

Story
Sweet precious little Raine was brought to ER with a severed leg and needed immediate surgery. They called us for helping give this young puppy a chance at a good life. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, micochipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Willow the wild child and it’s lovely to meet you all! Let me tell you a little about myself - I’m a sweet girl who is looking for a home that’ll take me in and teach me that not all humans are bad. I was surrendered to BCRRT after I was found being left in my crate 24/7 basically with little to no human interaction. Because of this, I can be shy when it comes to new people but once I know and trust you, I could be your lap dog! Even though my foster mama thinks I'm too big to be one hehe... I would love a calm but active family that has another dog who will play zoomies with me! Someone who likes cuddles in the evening and will give me all the yummy treats I deserve (which is all of them, I promise 👀). I am around 3 years, up to date on all my yucky shots and fixed. I am around 35lbs and currently in the DFW area! I am 100% crate and house trained, dog and cat friendly and very willing to work for a treat or toy I can shred! I am not a huge fan of the car and due to previous owner, I am very skittish on a leash so would be best in a home with a fenced yard for me to play in. I didn’t like that, I love people and other dogs too much for that! I’d love a home with another fur friend to help me fully come out of my shell and learn how to be a real dog again.

Story
RJ is an AMAZING, stunning boy who is 6 years old, good with other dogs, loves truck rides, cuddles and doing country dog things!  His is a Border Collie/German Shepherd mix, weighs about 60 pounds. He is always happy and ready for an adventure! RJ is an active dog who loves to be out and about doing things with his people. That could be walking through the woods, filling up deer feeders, playing in the pound with his dog friends or just going on walks. He’s not a big fan of toys and isn’t good with free ranging chickens. He is food motivated! He can hang in there for a 3 mile walk or an all day adventure helping mow pastures. At the end of the day he knows how to turn it off and settle down. He enjoys a good days work but has no complaints on takeing a break for a day or two every now and then! He doesn’t mind turning his body into a tiny ball just so he can sit in the same chair as you. RJ was heartworm positive when he found his foster family. He helped many other foster dog get better and find their own home. He is now healthy, HW- and ready to find his forever people! The best fit for RJ will be a physically active lifestyle with people who can keep up with this very handsome, good boy! If you are an active home wanting a great, mature dog, please fill out an application at bcrrt.com!

Story
I’m Mr. Bojangles, but I'm mostly called Bo. I’m a 44 pound Border Collie, and putting on needed weight. Foster Mom thinks I spent most of my life as an outside dog, although I am housebroken. I like air conditioning and regular meals, both are new to me! Being with you is my favorite! I want to be with you ALL the time. Foster Mom is focusing on skills she says a Faithful Shadow needs. I’m learning Come, Wait, Off, Go on (move away and stay out of the way), and getting out of the way. This last was tough at the beginning because I didn’t walk well, and couldn’t move backwards at all. My hindquarters were weak. After more than a month of having food every day, a big back yard, and other dogs to follow around, I can trot with a spring in my step. I don’t jump into the car yet. I’m still working on walking backward and moving away. Why would I walk away from you? I may be a little clingy at first, so you may have to be extra patient until I feel safe in your home. We have no idea how old I am. Vet estimates have covered a wide range but we think around 10. I am now neutered and had my teeth cleaned (and one removed - I feel so much better!) My eyes look a bit odd because I have small eyeballs. The vets say this doesn’t mean much. I don’t see as well out of my left eye as I used to but my vision is not a problem for my new life! My coat has been trimmed all over, and I should have a fine rough coat by the fall. I do think thunder turns the floor to lava. Unlike most dogs, I try to climb the nearest surface to hide from thunder, it really freaks me out. I now take Sileo and I am much better. If you have to leave the house during bad weather, a strong crate may be best for me. I also like to dig. You may have to help me know where it is ok to have this kind of fun! I’m okay with other dogs, and I looooove the cat! I like to wash her head, and she lets me do it. My Foster Mom says when I have strong hind legs again, she thinks I may be good at things like helping my owner get up after a fall, and fetching, that I am Border Collie Smart, and enjoy learning — after all, when you’re teaching me things, I have your attention! I hope I sound like your forever friend! Please fill out an application at BCRRT.COM to adopt me!

Story
Hi my name is Teddy and I am ready to find my forever family. I’m full of fun loving energy and adore long walks through the neighborhood and playing ball in the backyard. (I’ll help you keep that exercise resolution you made!) I enjoy roughhousing with my foster brother and sister, so an energetic canine sibling would be just grand. I have not been officially cat tested, but enjoy barking at and pulling on the leash to chase the cats I see on my daily walks. Being that I am still a puppy at a year old and 40 pounds, I will do best with kids over 10, although I do fine with tiny humans as young as a year old for short periods of time. I am 100% potty trained, vetted and crate trained. Although I can be vocal in the crate, I don't play Houdini and make great escapes. I am being fostered in Amarillo but can travel to my new family. I am healthy, neutered, and fully vaccinated.

These pups are in Frisco, Texas too!

Story
Bruno is very sweet but also very rambunctious. He turned a year old in December so he is full grown but still very puppy like . Unfortunately I work long hours and that is not fair for him. He requires more time and attention than I can give him and my yard isn’t large enough to accommodate him. He’s very smart and good with other dogs and kids. He loves the dog park, walks well on the leash and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body. He would do best with a large yard and with an active family who is around to keep up with him.

Story
Ace, one of our long-timers, is still looking for his person! He is a 6 year old Australian Cattle Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier/German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. Ace is the type of pup who only needs his person to be happy. When he has a human to love, he absolutely adores them. He prefers women, but we believe he could bond with a man in the same way with a little more time. Ace is not the type of dog to take to the dog park or out in a social setting, but he is also not the type of dog who needs that to be happy. If you think of it another way, he is just a homebody looking for a human homebody! He lacks confidence when meeting new people or when put in a new situation, so he is looking for a patient adopter who understands that things in this world are a bit scarier for him. However, once he knows he is safe, he loves with his entire heart. His favorite things are to lay at his foster mom’s feet while she works and even just be near her. He does not have separation anxiety, but he just truly loves to be around his person. Ace would thrive in a home with an adopter who is home most of the time and just wants a loyal and loving best friend to accompany them. Ace is in a foster home with other dogs and does fine with them. He is dog friendly but just a little awkward with other dogs because he doesn’t understand social cues. His ideal home would be as an only dog or with another mellow dog. Ace has been through obedience training and knows many commands. He walks great on a leash. He is also kennel trained and potty trained. We realize that Ace’s forever home is a tall ask, but we know that his person is out there somewhere. He is looking for someone who will give him a couple of weeks to open up because they know that it will be so worth it in the end. He has been with us for almost 4 years since being returned in 2020, and we want to finally see his happily ever after! If you are interested in adopting Ace, please visit rescuerowinc.org to fill out an adoption application. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. Story
Meet Terry! We are guessing he is a 4 1/2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix who loves other dogs and needs a doggy sibling in his forever home. He is crate trained and house trained and loves to cuddle! This boy thinks he’s a 50 lb lap dog! He loves to play with toys, even by himself and loves to chase his foster doggie siblings around the yard. He has a lot of energy, but also loves to lay around and chew on his Benebone. He is weary around men, so his future family needs to know that if there is a man in the home, it may take a while for him to warm up. Due to his breeds, no apartments please! If you would like to adopt a dog from Rescue Row please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days.
