SWEET SWEET SWEET! Found as a stray dumped in the country. Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist. He passed all his tests with flying colors. We are happy to share her evaluation with any prospective family. Finn is about 3 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped. He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. For more information on adopting Finn, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com or call 903-967-3226.

Story
Meet Jasper! A soulful three-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie/Rottweiler mix currently in Colorado Springs, CO, whose calm, loving heart is wrapped in a stunning 70-pound merle coat. With the gentle spirit of a wise old friend and the quiet loyalty of a true companion, Jasper is the kind of dog who will melt into your side on a cozy evening and follow you room to room just to be close. Jasper thrives in peaceful surroundings and forms deep, meaningful bonds with his people. He does well around children and enjoys their company, but he would do best with calm or older kids who understand boundaries and know how to treat him gently. Loud or high-energy play can make him uneasy, so a respectful home environment will help him feel safe and content. He’s a mellow guy who doesn’t need much to be happy: a soft spot to relax, the comforting presence of his caregiver, and maybe a treat puzzle or two to keep his brain engaged. Food-motivated and clever, Jasper knows a delightful list of commands like sit, stay, paw, spin, and even “middle”, a trick that’s as cute as it sounds! He’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and perfectly content when left alone, making him a great match for someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. While Jasper doesn’t require intense exercise, he does enjoy slow, sniffy walks where he can take in the world at his own pace. His favorite pastime? Being in the same room as you, soaking up your presence like sunshine! After being involved in two traumatic incidents with unfamiliar dogs, one when he was a puppy and another more recently, Jasper has developed a strong reactivity to dogs he doesn't know. He may bark or lunge when he sees them, especially near fences or in close proximity, and he continues to work through that with training and patient support. That said, he’s done well with familiar dogs in controlled settings, showing that he can feel safe with the right structure and trust. He’s happiest in a home with a fenced-in yard and a caregiver who values companionship, consistency, and quiet. Loud noises can startle him, but with reassurance, he settles easily. Jasper isn’t just a dog, he’s a constant companion, a quiet presence, and a gentle soul waiting for someone to see the beauty in his sensitive heart. If you’re seeking a loyal, low-key friend who will return your care with quiet affection and soulful eyes, Jasper may just be the one waiting to share your next chapter! Story
Harley ~1 year few months. Male. 55 lbs. Friendly with other dogs. Good with kids. Way too curious about cats! Since you're reading this, you're obviously looking for a new best friend, hey, so am I! I don't care how old you are or what you look like, but in case those things matter to you, that's me, the hunky guy in the pictures, with the silky, soft fur and soulful eyes. My Foster Mom thinks I am a Border Collie and Great Pyrenees cross. My perfect match would be someone who loves giving me tummy rubs and snuggles and wants to spoil me rotten, never leaving my side. I don't mean to brag, but people tell me I'm a lot like Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson as everyone is my family, I am funny, could be a great action star, and... I'm BIG and a softie at heart! When I'm not admiring your every move, I love toys and romping around the yard. So, what do you say? Wanna be besties? That pretty much sums up Mr. Harley. He is everybody's best friend and thinks he is a 55 lb lap dog. But don't let that fool you, he is still very much an energetic puppy in his behavior. He is a big goofy dog with so much personality. He has BC smarts with the Great Pyr soft and loving nature. Harley was found as a stray in OK and he does need a well maintained tall fence, as he is a free spirit and finds many things way too interesting and he easily jumps a 4' fence. Harley takes to training easily. He is food and toy motivated and will need to continue his manners work. He may be rough around the edges, but has SO much potential. Harley is currently located in the DFW area. For questions about Harley or to apply, contact us through bcrrt.com.

Story
My name is Sydney and I am a 30 lb, 3 year old Mini Aussie mix, spayed, healthy, athletic, and FUN! I love people, food (all food, especially spinach!), and tennis balls. I also enjoy car rides, going to fun places (especially if you help me not feel overwhelmed by too many stranger dogs), playing fetch (best thing on the planet!), and crushed ice! My Faux Mom and I have been working really hard to get me ready for you! I have nice house manners, and am learning to have nice manners with other dogs. I live with a dog who tolerates my Mini Aussie herding style and the way I alert them to noises and squirrels! My dog friends need to give me a little space, and be OK with sharing all their toys. I eat in my crate so my dog friend doesn’t have to worry that I’ll eat all her food and we can both eat in peace. I sleep through the night in my crate, and am crated when no people are home, and I don’t mind that at all. I’m hoping for a home with a nice yard for ball play (do this enough, and I won’t need a lot of other exercise!) with no small animals (chasing is SO FUN!) and no small children (same reason). I am located in the DFW area of Texas and can’t wait to have a home of my own. Please apply to adopt me at bcrrt.com.

Story
Velcro Companion: Captain Hook is looking for a co-pilot for life. He is a five-year old and 55 pounds, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and healthy. He is good with people, dogs, loves kids, is curious about cats (but has never lived with one). A devoted buddy who promises to follow you from room to room, just to make sure you are okay. With soulful eyes and a gentle demeanor Hook has never met a stranger. He greets everyone with a slow way and a gentle nudge for pets. He never barks, but makes guttural sound when he is happy or hungry. Does not pull on lead when walking and will also follow you wherever you walk or jog. Hook is a bubbly guy and always ready for a walk. He does get car sick ... so don’t feed him before transport. He slobbers a lot in the car, probably thinks he will be left. Hook lost his original Dad when he died and feels secure in a kennel. He often retreats to his kennel during the day. He uses a doggie door. He is afraid of storms so kennel him during thunder or fireworks. He is smart.... learned doggie door in one day. Does not climb on furniture, but wants to be a lap dog on the floor. Beautiful blue and brown eyed he has not had toys before. He now tosses them and carries them outside and doesn’t return them, but I think that is trainable. Basically, low-maintenance and high-affection. He is perfect!!!

These pups are in The Colony, Texas too!

Story
Trenton is a 2-year-old neutered male Heeler/Hound mix with handsome red and white coloring and beautiful speckling that makes him just as unique as his personality. He came from a situation where there were many dogs and limited positive human interaction, so he is still learning how to build confidence and trust with people.Trenton has already made great progress and continues to improve every day. He is starting to seek out human affection more and more, showing just how much he wants to connect—he just needs a little time and patience to fully come out of his shell. Once he feels safe, he has the potential to form a strong and loyal bond with his people. He is doing much better on a leash and has really begun to enjoy going for walks. Walks are becoming a great way for him to build confidence and explore the world at his own pace. He is also very treat-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for training with positive reinforcement.Trenton would do best in a calm home without young children, where the environment is quiet and predictable so he can continue to gain confidence. When meeting other dogs on leash, he has seemed okay with gentle, respectful dogs, but he can show some barrier reactivity and may be selective about his canine companions. Because of this, a meet and greet will be required for any dogs already in the home.Trenton would likely thrive in a house with a secure yard where he can safely explore, stretch his legs, and continue building confidence at his own pace. With the right patient and understanding family, Trenton has all the potential to blossom into a devoted, affectionate companion.
