I found her already an adult as a stray three years ago. She was in horrible condition, skeletal and riddled with parasites. Today, she is a remarkable dog, healthy, happy and full of energy and love. Approximately five or six years old, 60 pound boxer mix. She loves to be with other dogs, but is boisterous and plays a bit rough so medium and large dogs would be better. She is potty trained and crate trained but now sleeps loose inside at night with no issues. Loves to run, go for walks and play outside. She is a family dog that is used to always being with us and hates to be alone. Needs other dogs for company or someone home a lot. She loves all people but might be a bit too high energy for young children. She is very sweet and affectionate. Unfortunately, she is a born chaser and cannot be around cats or small animals unsupervised. She adores our cats, but her hunting instincts take over at times and it's just no longer safe.

Are you looking for a fur baby who loves to play but can also be calm and cuddly when the situation calls for it? Well, look no further than Betty! This sweet girl is one of our longest residents and came to the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center in October of 2022. She is more than ready to find her forever family. Betty is one of the most intelligent dogs at the shelter and LOVES learning new tricks. Her ideal day would include napping on a comfy dog bed, playing a tug or fetch with her person, and maybe some couch cuddles. Additionally, Betty is not destructive and is completely housetrained, coupled with her calm demeanor, and it makes her the perfect addition to any home!Additional Adoption Information:Dog Testing: She gets along with other dogs but would prefer to be the only pampered princess in a home. We would recommend a meet and greet for any potential canine siblings.Cat Testing: No cats.Kids: We have not seen Betty interact with children yet, we would recommend meeting any children that would be in the home. Housetraining Comments: Fully housetrained.Special Needs: None.

She is calm and loves fresh air although she can't walk very far because her hips will bother her. She likes kids but prefers a quiet home.
