Meet Matcha aka matcha latte Age: estimated around 1-2 years old. Weight: 40 lbs. Breed: boxer mix. This sweet girl was found abandoned in a car with another dog and was dangerously underweight. Now Matcha is a healthy, medium sized dog and she’s learning what a good life looks like. Even with her rough start to life she’s still a very happy, loving, carefree pup. Matcha loves playing with other dogs and snuggling on the couch (especially under the blanket). She’s obsessed with all toys but anything with a squeaker is her favorite. Toys don’t last long with her so be prepared to clean up fluff but she will leave your shoes/pillows alone. We’re learning that Matcha does have some fear based reactivity when meeting new people but once you earn her trust she’s a total love bug so say goodbye to personal space. She tends to be more fearful of men which leads us to believe she may have previously been abused but if you give her some time, treats or a new toy she’ll eventually be your best friend. Matcha doesn’t love the vet although I can’t say I blame her. Previous appointments have required muzzling, calming meds and mild sedation but it’s possible she could overcome her fears with time. Matcha is crate trained and potty trained but she does think baby gates are her own personal hurdles to jump. Matcha would probably do best in a home with older children due to some of her puppy tendencies and she would like another dog but one isn’t required. Athena's owner has developed medical concerns that is interfering with his ability to care for her anymore. She is a very sweet, affectionate dog with very high energy levels. Athena has not received much training from her previous owner and needs to learn to walk on a leash without pulling. She is currently crated during the day but plays well with a senior dog in the evening. Athena will have to be surrendered if we can't find a safe home for her quickly.

Looking for a furry friend for your kiddos? Luna may just be that friend! Luna thinks she is one of the kids. She hangs out with the kids, playing dress up, napping together, or just chill while the kids do their thing. She loves it if the kids switch things up and play fetch with her. She brings the ball back 😊 She is happy to show off her athleticism if the occasion calls for it. She’ll entertain herself with a toy or a chewbone if the kids want to do their own thing. She loves their companionship. She likes them even better if they drop crumbs or food on the floor :) Once, at a park, Luna stood in between an unsuspecting child and an unfriendly dog and gently guided the child out of harm's way of the unfriendly dog. Luna also has a knack for socks. She is a pro at stealing socks, but only to lay in them. If you are missing a sock, it is most likely in her crate. Luna loves car rides. She’ll be over the moon if she can pick up the kids from school with you. Luna is good with dogs too but certainly prefers her little humans 😊 Luna does not chime in if dogs bark at her on a walk. She carries on her walk quietly. Loud noises, random chaotic movements do not bother her. Although Luna is neutral to dogs, she prefers to be the only dog due to a previous unprovoked attack by another dog. Luna is 5 years old, 55lb Staffy. She is looking for a family with kids she can hang out with. Luna is house and crate trained.
