Spike has had a rough life these last few years. He has been living on a chain with no shelter, etc. He is very loving and wants desperately to snuggle and be with people. Spike does not appear to do well with male dogs, but has been okay with females, or more submissive males. Spike loves the car rides and treats that go with it as much as a walk in the neighborhood! He is medium energy, but can be very calm. Spike continues to decompress and be more and more of a dog daily in foster. Elsa came to us very sad, shut down, confused and scared. Once shown a little love and care, we found out that this girl is a happy ball of energy! Elsa is a young boxer mix that is crate trained, house trained and walks very well on a leash! Elsa is a mega-player and would do best in a home with another playful dog or someone with an active lifestyle. Older kids, over 12 would be best due to her exuberant energy! This is Hera, my childhood dog. While it breaks my heart to list her for adoption, I unfortunately must admit that it is best for her, even as much as I love her. I no longer have the time to take care of her with a busy work schedule, particularly with her beginning to grow older. Unfortunately, after my mother passing in December, I have no family or friends willing to take her. Hera is good with families and children, and amenable to cats, though they are not always fond of her attempts to play with them. She was raised around my youngest sister from the time she was an infant, and loves to play with kids and receive attention. Despite having just turned 10, she still has a respectable amount of energy, being able to go on regular walks and play. I would like for her to go to a family home, perhaps one with children so that she may enjoy their presence once again, if at all possible. At a minimum, I hope to find someone who can love her as I have the last 10 years.

I am a very sweet girl that loves to be with my humans.  I wag my tail a lot and am almost always happy!  I like to cuddle on the couch and snuggle next to you at night and for naps.  I also like to chew on Nylabones and explore the yard.  I get bursts of energy and pull on the leash when I'm excited, so don't let my age fool you! I am selective with other dogs.  I love to cuddle with the younger male dogs I have lived with and like the puppies here .  I am not good with cats. I do not like my crate and do ok outside of my crate as long as there isn't any food or trash that I can get into. I am fine if you close doors to other rooms to keep me out, but do not like to be confined in one room. I am good friends with Duncan, another P&P adoptable dog.
