Story
Luna is almost 6 years old and has been with me since she was a kitten. She is a very affectionate, loyal cat who forms a strong bond with her person and loves to cuddle and relax close by.Luna has a big personality and does best in a calm, quiet home. She needs an experienced, adult-only owner who understands her boundaries. She can become anxious around unfamiliar people, pets, or busy environments. She is on medication for anxiety and has been well cared for. With patience and understanding, Luna will be a deeply devoted companion. This is a very difficult decision. I’m looking for a safe, loving home where she can thrive.Adoption fee waived for the right home.

Story
Calling all heroes! We`d like to introduce a very special cat named Jumbo. She is a three year old lazy gal that loves getting pet, sunbathing by the window, and has a regressive case of FeLV, or Feline Leukemia Virus which may shorten her lifespan, and we are hoping to find her a loving indoor-only home where she can live out her life. Despite her diagnosis, she is a social and affectionate cat with just about all humans! Jumbo would need to be the only cat in the household, or have feline friends that also have FeLV. Interested adopters should click the inquire button below to learn more and shelter staff will provide additional counseling on FeLV and answer any questions at the time of adoption. More info on FeLV can be found here: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951934

Story
Artemis was surrendered by her family.  She was rescued but could not get along with the resident cat after many months.  Artemis will need to be the only cat in her new home.Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally. April 24, 2026, 4:08 pm
