Though she was alone when we found her, she quickly acclimated to having foster roommates. A stubborn little girl, Buffy can be your best friend one minute, and decide she doesn’t need you the next! She just needs a little space, food and toys and the two of you will get along famously. She would enjoy the company of a feline companion in her forever home. Berkeley and her family were rescued from a cat colony in the area. While we were focusing on reducing the overpopulation via TNR, several little guys showed up being all sweet. All seemed healthy with the exception of showing signs of upper respiratory infections. So these lucky ones will get a chance at a safe indoor life. Born in early June, 2021, Berkley is a mackerel tabby girl with a coat of incredible swirls. She definitely had the toughest reaction to adjusting to “life on the inside”. She needs a quiet place with minimal commotion to ease in her transition to a new home. Like her sister, Beck, once you pick Berkeley up she will sit with you comfortably. It may take a while for her to get to that feeling of trusting you. A companion would definitely do her good in a new environment. Please give this girl a chance and your patience is key. S.T.A.R.T. received notification of several kittens romping around a back yard with their feline mother. It took several days of trapping but one by one the litter was rescued and mom was TNR’d. The kittens came in nervous and hissing, which of course was expected. Born in mid June, 2022, we knew they were young enough to acclimate to humans and life indoors. Melba is a grey and white girl who seems a little on guard. Being an active, fidgety kitten, she is not the holding type! Melba needs time to realize that she is safe with you and having a friend would really help in her acclimation. Melba is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. At four weeks old, they seemed to be in good health except for a case of fleas. Born in mid July, 2022, Slumber is a black and white boy while Cradle is a tiger girl.
