Mindy was adopted from the Ramapo Bergen animal refuge in Oakland NJ. She is very gentle and quiet cat. She has a good appetite. She is an indoor/ outdoor cat. She has all her check up with the HoHoKus Vet in NJ. She likes playing with her brother who is also 10yrs old

Story

Cassius was adopted in 2016 as a 4 month kitten. He Is now 10 yrs old. He was adopted from the Ramapo Bergen animal refuge in Oakland. Cassius is a loyal people cat and likes to be around people. Cassius visits his vet in HoHoKus NJ every 18 months and is in good health. He has a sister Mindy and plays together. If possible they would like to be adopted together.

Story

Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. The foster says this about her: Friendly Vocal – Loves to talk to you Loves to explore and roam around Loves cat trees Learning to love what toys are again Gets along with other cats, but prefers her own space Would do fine with older children, ideally no young ones for Sassy Dogs would be fine with slow introductions (refer to pictures with dog in the background) Wonderful lap cat Very Entertaining Inside Only Sassy is a calmer cat that loves to lay around and just hang out. Sassy is spayed, FIV/ FLV Tested negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, will be seen by a vet and given a clean bill of health prior to adoption. Azul is a stud muffin of a big boy cat. We don’t know what is bigger – his beautiful blue eyes or his enormous round head. We estimate him to weigh around 15 lbs and believe he is around 5-6 years old. Azul was found roaming a neighborhood along the Texas Mexico border, where a good Samaritan saw him and knew she had to help him. He was super scrawny, covered in fleas, tons of missing hair and scabs all over his body. After about 6 weeks, Azul is fully healed, all of his hair has grown back, and he is ready for his forever home. Despite his age, he is very playful and active. We do not recommend very young children with him as he can play a little bit rough at times. Azul is in a foster home where he is around other cats and dogs. Even though he is big, he gets along wonderfully with other cats! He has met dogs in the current foster home and has no issues with them. He can live happily with other dogs and cats in the home! Azul would love to be a lap cat and be loved on everyday and all day. He does NOT mark. Azul will be neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and given a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption/transport. Winnie was wandering the streets and was taken in by one of our local fosters. She is estimated to be about 5 years old and has been vaccinated and spayed. Her foster says she is sweet but a bit hesitant right now. She seems to have been on her own for awhile and is getting used to being touched by people. Her foster says she can pet her (including her tummy), and brush her, but Winnie hasn't let her hold her just yet - though she is getting more comfortable each day. Her foster says Winnie will hiss when she is nervous but she hasn't tried to scratch or bite, so it seems to be a behavior that will hopefully cease once Winnie realizes she is safe. The ideal adopter for Winnie will be someone who understands that she will take a little bit of time and patience before she is comfortable in her new home. Story

Bootsie is a rescue cat. She was adopted from petco and became a faithful companion to a sweet old women with dementia. Sadly the woman was no longer able to be cared for in her home and has recently had to move to a memory care setting where she cannot keep her beloved Bootsie. Bootsie is very sweet and gentle. She is and always has been an extremely timid cat. She was very dedicated to her owner and rarely warmed up to a stranger. The most she would do is rub up against a visitors leg and that was only if her owner was present and encouraged her to do so. Because of this beautiful creatures loyalty and dedication to her owner, I feel very strongly that she is placed in a household without other pets. Ideally the new owner would be someone who understands that it may take time and patience to get Bootsie to get accustomed to a new home and owner due to her shyness. She deserves the best.
