Story
Meet Ginny Geeg! This young at heart lady came to us as Ginny, but with the spunk that she has shown, we decided to spice up her name a little bit. Ginny was rescued off the streets over a year ago by a good Samaritan. Since Ginny wasn't a fan of the other cats in the house, she was stuck in a dog crate. The good Samaritan reached out to us, when Ginny was crying out when she ate, and she wasn't able to afford the dental that she suspected Ginny required. Hearing about her situation, we offered to take her and get her the care she needed. Once our vets looked at her, they realized she needed more than just a standard dental. She has a condition called stomatitis, which is like gingivitis for cats. For her, managing it has been as simple as adding some medication to her food. What can be easier than that? As if this poor girl didn't have it rough enough, as soon as we were ready to send her in for her dental, we discovered a lump on her belly. The lump was removed but it was malignant. Now Ginny Geeg is cancer free and ready to live her best life. Even with all that going on, Ginny Geeg has been a champ. She has a good appetite and is in good spirits. She doesn't have a lot of love for other cats, but she has done well with small dogs who respect her space. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 13.4 Age: 10yrs 5mths 3wks

Story
Our Aria should have been named "Spicy Meatball." This little girl has tons of energy and just doesn't know what to do with it sometimes. She even gets jealous if you pay attention to another cat while she's around. She likes to be "numero uno" and will let you know if you're not doing it right. Since her energy level is so high, she will need an owner who will give her the attention she craves and also be ready for some good, daily playtimes. These playtimes will help get that excess energy out. She would do best in a home with a cat-savvy adult owner(s), who can redirect her energy and anticipate when she's thinking about being naughty. Aria would probably do best as the only animal, as she doesn't seem to appreciate what she might perceive as "competition." Little Miss Aria has a ton of personality and would make a great addition for the right person or family. Primary Color: Black Weight: 9 Age: 3yrs 5mths 4wks

Story
Meet our sweet boy, Jethro 🧡 At not even two years old, he has already been through so much. He was surrendered to RBARI in April of last year when his former pet parent determined that they were unable to afford his care moving forward. As is sadly common with many male cats, Jethro was suffering from recurring urinary blockages. We were finally able to remedy the issue with a specialized surgery, but as a precaution he will need to remain on a urinary care diet.Shortly after his arrival to the shelter, we found that the environment is incredibly stressful for Jethro. Especially given that he will likely prefer to be your one and only. Thankfully one of our wonderful and dedicated fosters has been able to provide that for him until he finds his forever home. Initially he seemed to be a bit more aloof, but as time has gone on he has become more comfortable and affectionate with his foster mom. He is absolutely full of energy and loves to play. Fuzzy mice and wand toys are among his favorite. He also loves spending his time looking out of the window at the local wildlife and passersby. Although Jethro is adored by his foster mom, it is not necessarily the right time for her to adopt. So we are hoping to find him a loving home that he can truly call his own. If you think that that home might be yours, please do not hesitate to submit an application. Primary Color: Buff Secondary Color: White Weight: 6.75 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Meet Leo or King Leopold if you prefer! He's not necessarily a fancy man, but would definitely love to be the king in some lucky person's home! He's such an affectionate cat and in spite of the challenges he's faced, he never seems to lose that genuine happy go lucky personality. And his favorite place in the house according to his foster mom, is where ever she is, especially if he can curl up on her lap for a good nap. Leo was suffering from itchy skin for months before he came to RBARI. His head and chest were mostly bald and he was just so itchy, he'd scratch himself bloody just to try to relieve it. And poor man, even a cone didn't stop him from trying to get that pesky itch. Tests showed that he had bacterial and yeast skin infections secondary to the allergies he was clearly battling. With time, proper meds and limited ingredient foods, the King finally has a crown of hair any feline would be proud of. As if this wasn't enough of a challenge for our handsome King, he also has a heart condition that will need to be monitored. Right now he doesn't need meds for his heart and may not for a long time, but monitoring the condition is of utmost importance to make sure our man stays healthy. Leo just has so much love to share, and even with his issues, he really is a cat worth sharing your life with. He gives more than any one person can possibly give him and is truly a once in a lifetime cat. He'll leave his pawprints all over your lap and your soul. Story
Miss Flora is definitely a girl with personality and the opinions to go along with it! She's a sweet, energetic girl that loves to play, wants to be with her people and likes her space all at the same time. When she gets to free roam she's in constant motion and has to know everything that's going on. She's also extremely food motivated and she might even enjoy learning a few tricks, when she's in the right mood of course. She really is a wonderfully silly cat with antics to spare. When I said I was going to be writing a bio for her, Flora sat me down and said she most certainly would like to be the Queen in her forever home, so Her Majesty asks that she be the only cat in the home. You should see the look I got when I asked her about dogs! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.65 Age: 2yrs 9mths 2wks

Story
Meet Paget! This beautiful young girl was unfortunately returned to us due to ongoing conflict between her and the other resident cat. She can coexist with another cat, but tends to be more dominant which can ultimately present a problem if the other kitty has a similar temperament. Paget was also having some issues with what we believe to be allergies, so is currently on a daily medication to help manage her symptoms. Thankfully she is very good at taking her medicine in her food. She is a very smart girl with an extremely inquisitive mind. She is food motivated, so encouraging her hunting instincts with foraging toys, or even teaching her tricks, would be wonderful forms of enrichment for her. Her foster mom has described her as being super friendly with a feisty side. So we'd ideally be seeking a more cat savvy adopter without young children for her. Please visit rbari.org/cats to fill out an application for our spicy, yet sweet Miss Paget. Primary Color: Orange Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.8 Age: 3yrs 7mths 3wks
