Story
Please meet our 4 KITTEN ADVENTURERS!: NICCOLA, PAOLA, MARCO and MARCELLO This 3-4 month old feline treasure kittens were rescued from the backyard of a commercial building, leaping and adventuring around while trying to survive without their mother. Their intake was just precious and since then these 4 kitties have taken over their rescue space, exploring their new but safe environment and taking it day by day - like every day is a new adventure. They are beautiful and true feline drop dead cuties with hidden affcetionate souls to start with, showing more and more their happiness and trust in their new life inside. Obviously with 4 kitten - we are seeking pair adoption as it seems at least some of them have already chosen their partner in crime. NICCOLA - 1rst picture - is the more laied back part of this gang - often found playing and especially snuggling with her sister PAOLA - second picture - but also seeking feline luv' with the residential older cats. When everyone has its time out, she always looks for higher spots in shelves or cat trees to nap and to observe her "empire" - and then playing hide and seek, pawing with her siblings/resiential cats or her foster parent. Otherwise she enjoys lap and snuggle time with her humans. PAOLA is more a goofball, leaping around with everyone that is ready for a chase and some wrestling time, especially her fun time with MARCO is to wach in full delight. MARCO (Black Bombay, 3rd picture) is all for it with play time and is generally wrestling with MARCELLO - 4rth picture - forming a great championship duo with him- - but seeks also companionship with PAOLA - leaping around and chasing after her. PLs see more details about "the boys" at: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/37855272-new-york-new-york-cat So we are still watching closely whom they prefer to spend their feline siblinghood for live but we are also open to adopt at least Niccola to a loving home with a residential cat friendly feline soul in place. They are already altered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, tested FELV/FIV negative and are rmicrochipped. COME and FALL in LOVE with these beautiful adventurers! and check out our website for more adorable kitties looking for a forever home: https://www.adoptapet.com/shelter/84295-east-harlem-kitty-rescue-new-york-new-york#featured

Please meet our 2 ADVENTURERS!: MARCO and MARCELLO This 1 year old feline gang was rescued from the backyard of a commercial building, adventuring around and trying to survive without their mother. Their intake was just precious and since then these 4 kids taking over their rescue space, exploring their new but safe environment and taking it day by day - like every day is a new adventure. They are beautiful and true feline treasures with hidden affectionate souls to start with, showing more and more their happiness and trust in their new life inside. It seems that some have already chosen their partner in crime - MARCO (Black Bombay, 1rst picture) wrestling with MARCELLO - 2nd picture - forming the ultimate brotherhood, leaping around and chasing after each other in a playful manner. It's amazing how MARCO developed from a shy boy to the "leader of teh gang" - always ready for some mishevious moves.. MARCELLO is also a bundle of energy, always vocally announcing that he is ready' whatever fun time is coming up. He rubs against his foster parent seeking for attention and of course when the treat bags shaking - super cute!. Story
Rescued from the streets of Staten Island alongside his siblings, Bartholomew is an orange kitten with the kind of cartoonishly big eyes that make you do a double-take. Yes, he *really* looks like that. This gentle boy is the definition of cautious curiosity: he prefers to observe the world before diving in, but once he trusts you, you'll be treated to the softest head-butts and belly flops you've ever received. Bartholomew is incredibly sweet-natured, though he does have one major weakness — **Churu**. He will politely but firmly push his way to the front of the line if he hears that packet open. He’s also developing a budding interest in rotisserie chicken and is not subtle about wanting a taste. Beyond snack time, though, he's a quiet soul with a heart of gold, perfectly content to curl up nearby and watch the world with those giant, wondering eyes. A little cautious and completely lovable, Bartholomew is ready to bring his gentle magic to a forever home.

Story
Meet Puffin! This confident, cuddly, extremely friendly boy is eager for love. Puffin was abandoned by his previous owners (a Bed Stuy business) and spent two months trapped in a cold basement. Apart from being underfed and thin, he is in perfect health (and a tremendous beauty). He is long and tall in stature – once he gains some weight back, he will be a big boy! Puffin is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and litter box trained. He is shockingly ready to trust new people, and his croaky little meow is given freely, and he loves flopping into your lap for pets. He also loves giving you nose to nose kisses. We know from the previous owner that Puffin used to have another cat friend. However, in his first foster, the rescuers saw he was wary of resident cats, so any new cat introductions should be slow and intentional. The previous business he lived in was a daycare, so he is used to kids from ages 2-11. This is the perfect cat for anyone who loves snuggles and insta-love!

Story
My foster writes: Meowy Dearest is a shy but curious sweetheart who loves enrichment toys and relaxing on her cat tree. She takes her time warming up, but once she does, she'll quietly hang out nearby and make herself right at home. This cute little void needs someone who's patient, but the bond is worth the wait.Meet Meowy Dearest!Pulled from a hoarding situation and understandably overwhelmed, Meowy Dearest arrived wary but watchful. With calm voices and a gentle approach, she'll tolerate brief petting and is starting to relax on her perch. She's an independent, curious girl who'll do best with a patient person willing to let trust grow at her pace.My Ideal HomeAn experienced, low-traffic home that understands shy cats. Start her in a quiet "decompression" room with hiding spots and vertical perches; keep interactions short and choice-based, and pair your presence with tasty treats. Coming from a hoarding environment, predictable routines will help her feel safe and blossom over time.Good with Kids?Best with adults only or older, cat-savvy teens who can move slowly and respect her boundaries.Good with Other Pets?History with pets is unknown. A very calm resident cat may help model confidence if introductions are extra slow, but she could also thrive as a solo cat while she settles in.Other Fun FactsHer confidence shows in small wins-softening eyes, staying near while you tidy her space, and brief cheek pets before she takes a break. If you love earning a shy cat's trust, Meowy Dearest is ready for her second act.A volunteer writes: Our best looks different each day and Meowy Dearest's progress has shown us glimpses of the starry little cat she wants to become. Snuggled up on top of her den, Meowy didn't know what to make of me at first, but, like all of us, she knows you have to start somewhere. Leaning forward just a tiny bit to sniff my hand, which was pretty much as far as she wanted to go in terms of a friendship with me at that time, my hand managed to hold Meowy's interest at least for sniffs. It's worthwhile to consider the whole. Meowy came to us from a home with many other cats and isn't exactly sure what to make of shelter life. We've tried offering treats, toys, and pets, but we haven't been able to win her affections just yet. Making friends takes time and Meowy Dearest would really like a chance to shine. Story
My foster writes:Harmony is a lovely, sweet cat. He might be a little shy at the beginning but if you are patient enough and show him your love with treats and cheeks scratches, he will respond in the with his constant company and his infinite care. He is elegant and fast as a little panther but playful as a kitten. A true gentleman, always polite and respectful in his interactions. Harmony needs someone special who understands his needs while giving him space, someone willing to spend some time of fun with him everyday or just to spend some quiet time together. What my friends at ACC say about me:I have lived with cats.I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.Harmony tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior. Please check here for updated adoption hours.
