Story

Mr. Fuzzy Wuzzy is a smart, strong cat and needs a home in which he will keep both his mind and body active. This goergous boy can become frustrated without enough stimulation, and needs an experienced adopter who can help keep him occupied. He has hyperaesthesia, which means that the nerves in his skin and back can easily become over stimulated, and he receives two medications to help manage those problems. He eats them easily in his food. He has had some behavioral problems with women before, therefore a home with a man only may be best. Fuzzy would be the perfect cat to learn agility, or to teach a variety of tricks. Because of his strength, and because he may play too roughly, we don't recommend he go to a home with children or other cats. Fuzzy is a very special boy, but he needs a very special home who can teach him appropriate boundaries, and give him the mental simulation he needs. Story

Itsy Bitsy was surrendered to Cameron Animal Hospital with multiple other cats as part of a hoarding situation. He is a sweet, affectionate cat, and will thrive in a quiet home of his own. Itsy isn't quite as bitsy as his name implies; he's a big solid boy, and he loves to eat. He does have hyperthyroidism, which means that his thyroid gland is overactive. However, the condition is compeltely controlled by medication which he eats in his food twice daily. He has had general bloodwork, which shows that he is completely healthy. He is FeLV/FIV (-/-), fecal tested, and fully vaccinated. Itsy Bitsy can be a bit shy when he first meets you and in new situations, but he settles in quickly, and is very affectionate. Although he is an older boy, he still has bursts of playfulness, and he is very curious once he is comfortable. He will do best in a quiet home without young children. Story

Joelson came to Cameron Animal Hospital in bad shape; malnourished with a severe, painful mouth infection. He was exhausted, in chronic pain, and always hungry because he couldn't comfortably eat. Watching him heal and recover has been incredibly rewarding. Joelson has stomatitis, a painful inflammation of the mouth and gums. It is an autoimmune condition, and we have been able to control it with medication. He was very malnourished when he first came to CAH, and was frantic for wet food that he could eat with less pain. As his mouth has healed, he has been able to eat more comfortably, and that food obsession has calmed (although he still loves to eat). Joelson must remain on the medication for life. Joelson is FIV (+), FeLV (-). He is fully vaccinated, has been fecal tested, and has had general bloodwork, which showed execellent health. Joelson has always been incredibly gentle, even when he was at his most uncomfortable. And as he has healed, he has started to seek human company. He is learning how much he enjoys petting and attention. He will thrive in a quiet home, as a calm companion. Especially if you have lots of treats for him! Story

Mia came to Cameron Animal Hospital after being found collapsed outside a school. She had been there for several days without eating. Several days of exams, testing, and nursing care didn't help. Only once an abscess deep in her sinuses was discovered and treated with surgery did she start to improve. Mia is a miracle cat in more ways than one. She has a mild case of Cereballar Hypoplasia (CH), a developmental issue which makes her walk with an odd gait and causes her to loose her balance easily. It will not affect her health or lifespan, but it would have made it incredibly difficult for her to live on the streets, making her survival and rescue incredibly special. Mia has a huge personality for such a little cat. She loves being pet, and seeks attention and affection. She is very vocal and doesn't hesitate to let you know if she wants something. She has shown occasional interest in toys, but prefers playing with people. She makes hilarious faces while playing, and loves rolling around. In general she is very content watching the world go by outside the window, taking naps, and getting pet. Mia knows how special she is, and thinks she should be the only princess in a house; she does not like other cats or dogs. Because she can occasionally be mouthy she should not go home with young children. She will do best in a quieter home. She is FeLV/FIV negative, fecal tested and dewormed, fully vaccinated, and spayed. Mia will thrive with a family who will spoil her with the love and affection she deserves.
