FOWA receives requests for help from not only residents and people who do trap/neuter/return, but also from agencies like Animal Care and Control. Shortly after Vaquita arrived at FOWA, she surprised us with four beautiful kittens—sisters Vail and Vanessa and brothers Valko and Viggo. FOWA welcomes them all and will find good homes for them. Could your home be one of them? The kittens were born March 26th and they will soon be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped and ready for adoption. When you are a volunteer with an animal rescue, animals always find you or you find them. Such is the case with beautiful, friendly Lily, who is only eight months old herself, and her two kittens Sam and Ruby. All three are adorable brown tabby with white chests and paws. Sam and Ruby were born June 1st and mom Lily was born in December 2022. We just can’t understand why someone would abandon such a wonderful cat as Lily. The requests for help never stop. They come in every day—calls, e-mails, texts. Fortunately for gals Ginerva, Gemini and Gladys, FOWA was able to provide a loving foster home for them. They were just eight weeks old when they were found—being born May 23rd. They are loving, playful little kittens and Ginerva and Gemini are both spayed, vaccinated, negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped. Gladys will be spayed soon. Say hello to an entire little colony of kittens. When a volunteer saw a mother and three tiny kittens, she wanted them out of the dangerous location in Paterson and into the safety of FOWA. At that point we realized the area was overrun with strays, which the residents did not want and were not kind to. Therefore, FOWA took on the task of spaying/neutering the feral cats and rescuing the kittens to give them a chance at life. Sisters Linda, Lisa and Lainy were born June 28th and are spayed, vaccinated, negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped. Lowell and his sisters Lidia and Lotus were born July 20th and are all are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped.
