Story
Brielle originally came to us back in 2021, was shortly thereafter adopted and was returned just recently after her pet parent was experiencing some unexpected life changes. She is now 5 years old and just as sweet as ever. Her foster mom has shared that Brielle's favorite things are "long naps, rubbing on her people's legs and cuddles". Brielle has feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), but is very cat friendly. It is absolutely acceptable for FIV+ cats and FIV- cats to coexist as long as the cats get along, which is the case with this very affectionate girl and her foster sister (another RBARI alum!). It was also more recently discovered that Brielle has asthma. Though this is very easily managed with a twice daily inhaler for which Brielle is very accepting of. Our very, very sweet and docile girl is so very loved by her foster family, who have been caring for her since March of this year. However, she is still very much in need of a home to call her own. If you're looking to make your family unit just a little bit bigger, Brielle would truly be the perfect addition. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 12.2 Age: 6yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
Meet Domino!Elegant, charming, and incredibly handsome, Domino is a complete catch! Domino was surrendered to the shelter after his owner discovered he had a urinary condition called FIC and could not afford his medical care. Since arriving, Domino has been nothing but sweet and loving to all of our staff and has been thriving in his foster home. Here's what his foster has to say about him:"Domino is such a sweet boy with the most gentle disposition. Even from his first day with us, Domino was friendly and lovey. He immediately settled in and went right up to our chocolate lab without any hesitation! He loves his worm on a string toy more than anything else, besides maybe his food. He is definitely a big eater! He's very smart and will yell and knock his treats over if you aren't giving him his breakfast quick enough. But that's just another one of his charms. While he likes to sleep away in his hidey spots during the day, he'll come out for short bursts to see what you're up to and "help" by being all up in your business. At night when we go to bed, Domino will curl up on our chests and purr away. He's never more content than when he's with his favorite person and getting some good scratches and pets. One thing to note is that he is very sensitive and needs his people around! He hates closed doors and needs someone home with him, otherwise he gets very stressed and distraught."Domino's condition requires him to stay on a prescription urinary diet and medications to help his separation anxiety. As his urinary issues are caused by stress, he needs to be in a low-stress environment, ideally with someone who works from home or where there will always be someone around. Despite his condition, Domino is truly the perfect cat. He's cuddly, sweet, funny, and good with dogs. While we haven't tested him with cats, we think he would do well with animals that are mellower and won't bug him too much.If you're interested in Domino, apply today! Story
Meet two of our sweetest babies, Mazel (calico) and Latke (torti)! These two really are the perfect little pair - outgoing, playful, beautiful, and a teeny bit crazy! They survived severe upper respiratory infections as younger kittens, but were both left with significant scarring on their right eyes. Mazel's had to be removed for her comfort and ongoing health but Latke's doesn't affect her in any way other than her vision, and left her with a uniquely beautiful "galaxy" eye. Mazel also has a couple of extra toes on her front feet, giving her the biggest fluffiest mitts. They both love getting attention from staff, grooming and sleeping with each other, and are always ready to play! Because they're so close with each other, they'll need to be adopted as a pair. Please submit an application to come and meet them! Primary Color: Tortoiseshell Weight: 4.02 Age: 0yrs 4mths 0wks

Story
Meet Zak & Aaron! If you're looking for a bonded pair of the most wonderful cats you'll ever find, then you're at the right place! Zak and Aaron are probably the easiest starter cats to add to your family. From the first day they arrived at our shelter, Zak would climb up on to our chests and rub his face against our cheeks. He would reach out of the cage when we tried to step away, and turned into a total motorboat once we came back. Aaron was a little shyer at first, but is now actually the more outgoing of the two! Now able to free roam, Aaron will scamper up to us and follow us around like a little shadow, always just a step behind. Both brothers love to play, cuddle, and boy can they eat! Picture two teenage boys, but if they were super sweet and always wanted your attention. We don't know much about where these boys came from, other than that they were surrendered by their owner to Paterson animal control, but we do know that they must have been well cared for. Everyone who has met these boys has immediately fallen in love with them. We're just waiting on the first lucky individual(s) able to take them home!If you're interested in this brotherly duo, apply today! Story
Our special boy Oliver first came to us back in 2020 and was adopted shortly after he became available. Unfortunately in May of this year, he was returned after a new addition to his home developed an allergy to Oliver. When he arrived back at the shelter we noticed that he had a relatively large wound on the underside of his neck. With little insight into what caused this, we (as well as Oliver of course) started on the path to finding a solution to help him heal. Due to the location of the wound it was an extremely challenging journey, but thanks to the immense efforts of his very dedicated foster mom, Oliver has finally made a full recovery. Despite this ordeal, Oliver never let it diminish his personality in the slightest. He has always been exceptionally sweet, affectionate and talkative. He has been described as being the perfect companion for someone who is more of a homebody and is truly looking for a cuddle buddy. If that sounds like Oliver might be the right fit for you, please don't hesitate to apply to adopt at rbari.org/cats. Primary Color: Grey Weight: 10 Age: 5yrs 5mths 0wks
