Brielle originally came to us back in 2021, was shortly thereafter adopted and was returned just recently after her pet parent was experiencing some unexpected life changes. She is now 5 years old and just as sweet as ever. Her foster mom has shared that Brielle's favorite things are "long naps, rubbing on her people's legs and cuddles". Brielle has feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), but is very cat friendly. It is absolutely acceptable for FIV+ cats and FIV- cats to coexist as long as the cats get along, which is the case with this very affectionate girl and her foster sister (another RBARI alum!). It was also more recently discovered that Brielle has asthma. Though this is very easily managed with a twice daily inhaler for which Brielle is very accepting of. Our very, very sweet and docile girl is so very loved by her foster family, who have been caring for her since March of this year. However, she is still very much in need of a home to call her own. Meet Domino!Elegant, charming, and incredibly handsome, with a heartwarming backstory, Domino is a complete catch! Domino was surrendered to the shelter after his owner discovered he had a life threatening urinary condition called FIC that caused painful urinary blockages. Since coming into our care, Domino has had multiple blockages that required immediate hospitalization to save his life. Domino was strong through it all, and has made everyone who has met him fall in love. Due to recurrent issues with blocking, Domino recently went through a specialized PU surgery - painful, but lifesaving. While in recovery, his foster has had nothing but good things to say about him. He's sweet, adventurous, and playful, and loves their chocolate lab! His favorite activities (when not in recovery) is playing with his favorite worm-on-a-string wand toy and "helping" his foster family with their daily chores. Domino is currently on daily medication to help lessen his stress and pain, and will likely need to stay on medication going forward. He is also on a specialized urinary diet (which he eats like a pro!) which will help support his long-term urinary health. Domino loves his people and always wants to be around them. Our special boy Oliver first came to us back in 2020 and was adopted shortly after he became available. Unfortunately in May of this year, he was returned after a new addition to his home developed an allergy to Oliver. When he arrived back at the shelter we noticed that he had a relatively large wound on the underside of his neck. With little insight into what caused this, we (as well as Oliver of course) started on the path to finding a solution to help him heal. Due to the location of the wound it was an extremely challenging journey, but thanks to the immense efforts of his very dedicated foster mom, Oliver has finally made a full recovery. Despite this ordeal, Oliver never let it diminish his personality in the slightest. He has always been exceptionally sweet, affectionate and talkative. He has been described as being the perfect companion for someone who is more of a homebody and is truly looking for a cuddle buddy. Meet Marlow!You can't imagine the surprise we experienced when we first met this lovely lady. Playful, energetic, and gorgeous, we thought Marlow was a young adult. To our utter shock, we found out that she's actually 16 years old! Marlow came from a house with two other cats, three kittens, and a dog after their owner could unfortunately no longer take care of them. Despite having her life turned upside down after over 15 years of sharing the same family, Marlow was quick to adapt and start running the show around here! Now in a room with her old housemates, Hammy and Tetra, we are confident that Marlow was the matriarch of the household. The other two always follow her lead (which she finds an absolute nuisance) and know that she isn't afraid to give them some tough grandmotherly love when they're being too much for her.When it comes to people, Marlow has endless energy and love to give. She'll come right up to whoever walks into the room to ask for attention and pets. She truly is content with just being in your presence and having some peace and quiet to live out the rest of her years. Meet our sweet boy, Shadow. At just 7 years young, Shadow is truly the whole package. Incredibly affectionate with his people and friendly with other cats (as his feline foster brother can attest to!). Shadow originally came to us back at the start of the summer after being found outdoors with a large infected wound on his shoulder. Though we can't say for sure what exactly happened, we do know that despite whatever trials or tribulations he may have faced, they never put a damper on his incredible spirit. Even with his recent asthma diagnosis, Shadow has not changed even a bit! While he hasn't started his inhaler treatment just yet, we think he'll be a champ with it and will make it very easy to manage. Given Shadow's calm and gentle nature, we believe he would be suited to almost any home. His doting foster dad had the following to add: "Shadow has been such a wonderful foster! Meet Bambina!We estimate that this lovely lady is around 5 years old and she was an owner surrender at Paterson animal control. While we don't know much about her past, Bambina is super mellow and sweet, although still a bit shut down. However, since arriving to us, she has started to open up more and likes to give us cute little squeaks and chirps to say hello! She likes belly rubs, head scratches, and absolutely loves her little pink cat cave.
