Story
Meet Cinnabon! Cinnabon is a strikingly beautiful gray and white spotted tabby, about 9 months old. Her spots are similar to Bengals, so she may have some Bengal in her. She came to us early last August when she was found in a Culpeper garage, darting here and there, frightened to death, but desperately wanting to stay to get food. We never know what traumatic experience a cat has been through when they come to us. Thankfully, the Good Samaritan took pity on her, made sure she felt safe and was fed, and contacted us. When she came into care, Cinnabon was still frightened and timid, so we put her in with another litter of 3 boys that were her age (Boston, Zeppole, and Long John). She made friends and played, cuddled with them, and began to relax and feel safe.Cinnabon is still timid and takes awhile to warm up, but, like her name, she is so sweet. She loves to play with foil krinkly balls, climb, and gets along with other cats, especially Boston, who is still in foster care, and another cat, Jojo. She likes to be pet, as long as you move slowly and, once she knows you, is fairly easy to handle. Cinnabon will need a quiet, low activity home with either a patient, loving human(s) she can be a companion to with/without older kids over the age of 14. I think she would also benefit by having a cat friend in her home to snuggle up with - we strongly suggest either Boston or Jojo (we could do an adopt 1 get 1 free with Boston or Jojo) so that she could acclimate to her new home easier. She is ready to go home with an approved application and is dewormed, spayed, had her FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay to reregister every year, we've taken care of it! If you can give this sweet girl a home and a family, please let us know. Story
Meet Hickory, a handsome white and gray, short-haired 6 year old lovebug. He came to us years ago with his mom, Constance and his brother, Hunter on the Freedom Ride from a high-kill shelter when their time had run out. The kill shelter told us about this little family because they were so sweet and gentle and they were worried they would not make it out.  Sadly, AFTER 4 YEARS in foster care, Hickory is STILL with us. We don't understand why and  poor Hickory is beginning to give up hope of ever finding his family and his forever home. He is a sweet and gentle soul and deserves a family who loves and cares about him. Hickory is a quiet, unassuming cat and is still playful. He is loving, likes to be held, and comes to you for affection.. He loves a quiet window where he can look out at wildlife or what is happening in the world. He is shy at first but warms up within a day or two and gets along well with other cats, but prefers a loving human to sit and watch t.v. with - a Hallmark movie or sports, he is not picky.Hickory is neutered, received FVRCP  and Rabies vaccines, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration - you won't need to pay to renew every year, we've done it for you! He is ready to come home now with an approved home. Please fill out a digital application at: https://submit.jotform.com/221029453063044May 3, 2025, 1:10 am

Story
Meet Clue and Domino, siblings that are 2 years old. Clue is a beautiful female and is all black. She is very affectionate and loves attention. Her brother, Domino is a black and white tuxedo and is also very affectionate and playful. These babies are a bonded pair (must be adopted together - adopt 1, get 1 free!) who came to us as kittens when they were found living in a Lake Anna woodpile with their mom and siblings. They were adopted, but came back to us through no fault of their own.Give these babies a big window and they will love you forever. They love to sit in front of  the window and see all that is going on outside - the birds, the people. They love cozy little areas to curl up in, and they adore snuggling and attention. They get along great with other cats, kids, and dogs. They are fully vetted -  spayed/neutered, up-to-date on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, combo tested negative, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. All they want is a family to call their own - to love, cuddle, and play with. Who has room in their hearts and home for this precious pair? Please fill out a digital application at:  https://submit.jotform.com/221029453063044May 3, 2025, 1:10 am

Story
Meet Arabella! Arabella is a 2 year old ,white and brown Agean tabby, with adorable crossed eyes - a whirlwind of charm, curiosity, and comedy. If you’re looking for a calm house ornament, she’s not your girl. But if you want a cat who turns everyday life into an adventure movie, Arabella is ready to star. She’s incredibly playful and will entertain herself (and you) with just about anything. Her favorites include rainbow “snakes,” plastic springs, toy mice, and her absolute weakness — crumpled paper balls she can chase like an Olympic sport. She believes the house is one big obstacle course: snook cases might be climbed, blinds must be inspected, counters and tables must be explored, and toilet paper must be artistically shredded. She has even tried turning the toilet into a swimming pool. No mission is too bold for Arabella.Arabella has appointed herself Chief Ice Inspector and Official Appliance Supervisor of the household. Every time the icemaker goes off, she runs quickly to inspect, ready to make sure the cubes are being produced up to her very high quality standards. She’s not entirely sure of she’s guarding it or studying it, but she is absolutely committed to the assignment every single time it makes a sound. (See photo.)She uses her scratcher well and loves to zoom, climb, and investigate. Because she has so much energy, Arabella would do best with one high-energy, playful feline friend, but not a house full of cats. She wants a buddy — not a crowd — someone who can wrestle, chase, and keep her busy without overwhelming her.Underneath the spice is a surprisingly sweet soul. Arabella loves curling up in a lap, purring loudly, chattering, and making biscuits like she’s running a tiny bakery. When she’s finished, she might gently bop you and dash away, because affection should always end with dramatic flair. She prefers being pet from behind rather than straight on, enjoys head and back scratches, and has strong (but adorable) opinions about personal space. She doesn’t like being picked up and will let you know when she’s uncomfortable. Sometimes she sneak-attacks legs when she wants attention — usually her way of saying, “Play with me, human!”Arabella’s personality in a nutshell: silly, sometimes spicy when she wants her human to play, curious, active, entertaining, loving, and quirky. She’s best for a cat-savvy home that enjoys interactive play, understands feline boundaries, and wants a companion who keeps life interesting, funny, and full of motion. She will need a high-energy cat friend at home (we would suggest Cinnabon. Adopt 1 get 1 free if Cinnabon is adopted.) Arabella needs a home with kids 12 and older.Arabella is dewormed, spayed, up to date on her distemper and rabies vaccines, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. If you want a cat who makes you laugh daily and surprises you with bursts of affection — Arabella might just be your perfect match. Story
Meet Portabella and Truffles, bonded sisters who are looking for their forever home. If you love comfort food, cozy vibes, and sweet companionship, then let us introduce you to the most delightful duo on the menu — Portabella and Truffles! These sisters came into rescue as tiny newborns two years ago after being born outside to a feral mama. They were lovingly bottle-raised, adopted as kittens, and recently returned to the rescue due to circumstances completely beyond their control (and absolutely unrelated to their wonderful personalities). Now they’re back, a little wiser, and ready to find their true forever home... and trust us — they deserve it.Portabella is a beautiful mackerel tabby has never met a stranger. Portabella is adventurous, curious, and full of affection. She loves attention, will happily soak up all the pets you’re willing to give, and is always ready for a good snuggle session. She’s confident, social, and brings warmth wherever she goes.Truffles is a stunning and unique “silver torti” - mostly black with a soft silver sheen (and just a touch of peach in her fur to earn that torti title), she looks like she was lightly dusted with moonlight. She’s a little more reserved than her sister at first, but once she feels safe, she is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves people and enjoys attention — she just prefers to ease into the spotlight. The perfect home for Portbella and Truffles would be in a low-to-medium activity household. They’d do well with elementary-aged children or older, and low-key dogs could be a possibility. They aren’t high-drama, high-chaos cats — they’re more “cozy up on the couch and keep you company” kind of companions. They are bonded, so they need to be adopted together. Adopt 1, get 1 free. Both girls are dewormed, spayed, up to date on FVRCP and rabies vaccines, combo tested negative, and microchipped with a life time registration. Story
Meet Biscuit! Once upon a time, Biscuit had a family. Then one day… they moved away and left her behind. For nearly TWO YEARS this sweet girl survived outside — finding food, shelter, and safety all on her own. She learned to be strong because she had to. When help finally came, she thought she was safe… only to end up outside again — until a kind person opened their door and gave her a chance to breathe, rest, and begin healing. Now Biscuit is ready for the next chapter — a real forever home.Biscuit is a beautiful female Aegean tabby (white with gray patches), about 2–3 years old, looking for a calm, loving forever home. After spending time surviving on the streets, she’s learning to trust again and discovering how wonderful indoor life can be. She is a sweet companion cat who enjoys being near her people, helping with paperwork, watching TV together, and napping in sunny windows. She loves warm blankets, making biscuits, watching birds, and playing with simple toys like bottle caps and socks. She’s curious, social, and will happily hang out nearby — maybe even join you for tea (watch your cup… she’s known to dip a paw! Affection is on her terms — she enjoys pets and attention but appreciates slow, gentle handling. She would do best in a quiet, low-activity home with patient adults or cat-savvy kids over 10. Biscuit can live with calm, respectful cats and may adjust to a mellow older dog with slow introductions. Biscuit has done the hard part — now she just needs someone to choose her. Could that be you? She just needs someone to say, “You’re home.”  Please share to help her find the person who will never leave her behind again.Biscuit is dewormed, spayed, has her rabies and distemper vaccines, is combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay over $20 every year, we've done it for you. Please fill out a quick digital application at: https://www.jotform.com/form/221029453063044February 23, 2026, 12:19 am
