Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rachel: certified drama queen turned emotional support potato. She started her glow-up by shredding her potty pad—not out of stress, but because apparently, destruction is her love language. Tossing it in the air like confetti? A+ entertainment. And once she decided the humans might not be out to ruin her life, she let me sneak in a quick pet… as long as I didn’t make eye contact. Classic Rachel. Then came the big moment—into my lap she went, trembling like a chihuahua in a snowstorm, only to fall asleep like I was the world's most boring Netflix show. Progress!  She’s enjoying some shopping trips to gain some confidence. That night she shocked everyone by sleeping through without peeing, pooping, or protest. If you knew her track record, you’d be asking what alien replaced our mess-making gremlin. And then—drumroll please—she peed outside for the first time. Not exactly Olympic gold, but in Rachel Land, it’s a huge win. She now follows Tyson, resident pup, like a little shadow, copying his every move, including bathroom breaks. Honestly, she thinks he’s the cool older sibling and we’re just her weird landlords. She’s also discovered she has opinions now. Crate her? Expect sassy barks. Leave her alone in the bathroom? Prepare for protest vocals. But let her cuddle with Tyson? Pure bliss. Don’t get too confident though—she’ll bounce around like a happy maniac with the dog pack, but try approaching her solo and she remembers she’s made of anxiety and secrets. Still, she’ll sneak in for treats if she thinks you aren’t paying attention. Classic Rachel move. Rachel has a soft soul.  She needs a quiet home without chaos to help her continue to build her confidence.  Her ideal home would have very little time of confinement away from her humans. She is a snuggler at night with her human, once she starts to trust, and she LOVES to cuddle up with other dogs on the softest bedding she can find. She’s not quite ready for center stage, but our shy little chaos goblin is coming into her own. Slow and steady wins the race—and she’s at least facing the right direction now. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Marble is a gentle, affectionate toy-lover looking for a loving home where she can play and relax. She is a cautious girl who takes a little time to feel comfortable around new dogs and people. She may bark at large dogs or unfamiliar visitors at first, and she’ll sometimes bark through the fence at the neighbor’s dog or when a new dog comes into the home. She has been through a lot! Marble came from a home with many dogs and was very shy when she first arrived. Now that she's had some time to adjust, she seeks out attention and pets. She’s starting to truly enjoy exploring, playing, and relaxing in the quiet of the house. She is mostly potty-trained and generally very quiet unless other dogs start barking. Marble loves food and treats, which makes her easy to train. One of her funniest quirks is stealing toys from the other dogs just to get them to chase her — she’s fast and playful once her confidence shines through! Marble would do best in a calm home with a confident companion dog who can show her the ropes. She has lived peacefully with several dogs and has never had a cross word with any of them. While she may never be a lap dog, Marble will be a loyal, loving presence for someone patient enough to let her bloom at her own pace. Marble’s previous owner had to enter a nursing home, and the rescue took her in along with four of her canine friends from that home. With a little time, understanding, and stability, Marble will continue to grow into the wonderful, devoted dog she’s meant to be. Marble is  from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cleopatra is a sweet, goofy, and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than jumping onto your lap for belly rubs and attention. She’s playful, eager to please, and has that charming mix of energy and gentle affection that makes her a joy to be around. Cleopatra came from a hoarding situation, and when she arrived she was extremely skinny, dehydrated, and had overgrown nails. Despite her rough start, she’s a resilient little lady who’s learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. She’s leash trained, rides well in the car, and does well with other dogs and in fact would do best with another dog in the household due to her background. She can be a bit unsure at first, but she warms up quickly. Cleopatra is also a bit of a trash-can explorer, which never fails to make her fosters laugh. Her teeth could use some attention, but her personality more than makes up for it! She’s adaptable, playful, and ready to bring joy (and a few giggles) to her forever family! Cleopatra is dealing with some separation anxiety, so a home without shared walls would be needed.  Cleopatra is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Draca! Draca is an adorable 11-lb Chihuahua mix with a big personality in a small package! She is playful, affectionate, and full of spunky energy. She loves her people and is extremely loyal following her person around and always ready for snuggles and affection. She’s also fully potty trained and very good about asking to go outside. Draca enjoys playtime and her silly, joyful side really comes out once she feels comfortable she still chases her tail, loves playing in the snow, and has fun both playing with other dogs and entertaining herself. She also loves going for car rides and enjoys spending time with the resident dogs in her foster home. She’s learning new things every day and continues to blossom with patience, structure, and consistency. Because she’s an energetic girl, she’s still working on manners such as not jumping and managing her excitement, and she can be a bit mouthy during play. Draca is also still building her confidence and may get startled if approached too quickly, so she will do best in a home without small children. Draca is from Texas.   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Norman, the confidence king with a strut so sassy it deserves its own theme music. He may get a little vocal here and there, but don’t worry—he snaps out of it the second you remind him he’s being dramatic. He’s potty trained, knows sit and stay, and does well with other dogs. Small kids and brand-new humans? Well… Norman would prefer they approach slowly, maybe with a résumé and a polite introduction. He warms up on Norman Time™, and honestly, we respect his boundaries. Once he decides you’re worthy, though? Good luck getting rid of him. Norman lives for attention, belly rubs, and being glued to his people like a fuzzy little shadow. Toys? Absolutely not. Norman is far too dignified for such childish nonsense—he’d rather strut around wiggling his adorable nub tail like the main character he is. He’s crate trained, sleeps through the night, and wakes up every morning ready to begin his daily routine of Being Handsome and Going Places. Treats don’t impress him much, but breakfast and dinner? Now we’re talking. Norman loves exploring the outdoors and is always down for an adventure… right up until he’s ready for his cozy end-of-day flop. Whether he’s strutting with confidence or rolling over for dramatic belly rubs, he’s equal parts distinguished gentleman and lovable goof. If you need a loyal buddy with equal parts charm, sass, and wiggle—Norman is your guy. Norman is from a local impound. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Carlo — He’s decided that laps, arms, and blankets are his rightful kingdom, and he rules them with pure cuteness! While he doesn’t mind other dogs, he’d prefer they admire him from a respectful distance he’s not into the whole “sniffing my face” thing. Honestly, he’d probably love being the only “child” so he can have your full attention for his favorite pastime: being adored… but siblings could be negotiated with some extra treats. Carlo’s eyes have a soft, cloudy look that adds to his charm and may mean his vision isn’t quite perfect. He gets around just fine and appreciates gentle movements when being picked up or greeted.  Carlo does need an adopter who is comfortable with dogs who can be expressive with their feelings. He does not appreciate being moved off furniture and can become possessive over human beds. To set him and his adoptive home up for success, he should not be allowed to sleep in a human bed but does best when placed in a kennel at night. He is not a “clothes guy” and does not enjoy being overly handled when clothing is placed on him. He can also be sensitive about harness placement. Carlo would do best in a home with one or two adults who are confident and comfortable with him. He will require an experienced adopter who has worked with dogs that are not afraid to show their sassy side.
