Story
Meet Lady! She's apx 10 years old and traveled a long ways to MN. She came to Legends in Early October, and we're learning more about her each day. So far, she's been great with dogs, cats, and all humans that she's met. She is coming out of her shell each day as she decompresses and starts to show us her personality. She likes to follow her people around the house and is loving beds and couches! Lady is a gentle senior looking to spend her golden years in comfort. She's food motivated and curious. She's already started trying out sweaters as we anticipate MN winters to be quite the adjustment! Medical stuff: She recently had a dental, and is noted to have a very mild heart murmur. Medication is not required for it at this time. We've got her on a joint supplement for some probable arthritis, and she also has a sensitive trachea and will cough occasionally, but otherwise is a healthy older lady! *We only adopt and foster our animals within a 60 mile radius from New Brighton, MN* All of our adoptable animals can be seen by appointment. Apply to adopt here: https://www.legendssenioranimalrescue.org/our-forms-2 Apply to foster here: https://www.legendssenioranimalrescue.org/foster-application All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment. You can contact us through our website at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/contact/ or visit our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LegendsRescue/ if you have further questions or would like to schedule a meet and greet. FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before an animal is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Your donation will help with our care and pay for medical costs. Story
Meet Chippy! He is a 20lb 6 year old Chihuahua mix. This sweetheart was dumped outside of a PetSmart in a kennel in North Carolina. From his foster: October update: Chippy is a very good boy- quiet and gentle! He's experienced some trauma in his early life but is learning to trust, come out of his shell, and live his best life. When the weather is nice he loves to relax in the sun, take a walk with his stroller, and meet new dogs in the neighborhood or dog park. Chippy is very food motivated and gets super excited at meal time and when he can earn treats. Chippy is great with other dogs, cats, and children. August Update: He is very calm, a little timid and we have not heard a single bark out of him. He loves to snuggle, has a good appetite and enjoys prancing around the yard finding treats we put out for him. He has a passing interested in cats but no chasing instinct. He doesn't seem to have experience with stairs so we are approaching that slowly. He likes balls and will fetch!! He had a couple accidents through the transition but is getting into the swing of things. We are currently working on leash walking. He likes to be active in the yard and is starting to let loose but wants to be a very good boy. Easy to train with treats. He seems to match the energy level with the rest of us, relaxing when we need to work from home and getting excited for walks or backyard time. *We only adopt and foster our animals within a 60 mile radius from New Brighton, MN* All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment. Story
Hello my name is  Jacinta  (Tina for short) and I’m looking for my perfect home! I’m a 5 year old, 11 pound little girl, with lots of love and attention to give. My favorite thing in the world is to cuddle up next to my humans on a comfy couch or chair, especially under the blanket. I love to be scratched on my face and head. I’m a medium-low energy gal and don’t always require daily walking. A 15 minute walk or indoor play is all I really need. I don’t exactly like the rain or cold. I may have a little harder time going potty outside when it’s raining, but my foster mom is able to work around that pretty easily. Having a little covered area outside to potty under could make this even easier. I’m currently doing a great job of going potty outside on a consistent schedule, but schedule or location changes can cause some accidents.  Something I’m great at no matter the weather is my kennel! I love having my own kennel area to go in and out of when I want. I do great sleeping quietly in my kennel when I’m home alone, even for extended periods like a work day. I’m also pretty quiet for a chihuahua, only barking when I see something walk by outside or hear other barking while I’m at home !  As far as other pets go I seem to be fine around cats, but I would probably do best with cats that are comfortable around dogs. I also do well around dogs my size but I prefer that they not get right up in my face.  I haven’t met any kids yet but most likely I’d be a little nervous around younger kids, but likely would get used to them over time as long as they’re gentle.  Also, I do pretty well in the car.  Finally, I’ll admit I don’t have much obedience training. I could use maybe a class or some at home training if you’d like me to learn how to sit, stay, leash manners,  etc. But so far this hasn’t really been an issue for my foster humans since I’m sweet as pie! If I sound like the perfect match please apply to adopt me!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 15, 2026, 8:55 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fenri is one of Marza's babies. Marzabean and her 4 young ones found themselves unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs, and people, and good with the dog savvy cats. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. He recently arrived in MN so we are geting to know him. Here is what we have learned so far about him. Fenri is the sweetest, friendliest little guy around! He just LOVES all people and dogs! He's good with kids, dogs of all sizes, and even cats. Currently 6 months old and about 15 lbs, he'll likely be a smaller medium-sized dog with medium-level energy. He loves to be social, romp around and play, toss toys around, play fetch, and gently wrestle with doggy friends. He equally loves a good, long snuggle on the couch! There's no attitude here, just pure joy and doggie smiles! He is fully crate trained and goes potty outside or on puppy pads, though he's still working on the occasional accident. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle, fun-loving pal, Fenri is your guy! First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vetting appointment near the end of July.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 15, 2026, 7:50 pm

Age: Estimated DOB 11/30/24 Weight: 23 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, another dog required in her forever home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, older/considerate children only & calm introductions needed Potty trained: Yes, on a schedule Crate trained: Yes, will settle down after a few minutes ***Needs companion dog in home*** Meet Brisa — and just like her name (“Breezy” in Spanish), this sweet girl brings a fun, happy energy wherever she goes! Brisa is a playful pup who loves romping around with her foster housemates, including an older rat terrier and even an American cat. She’s confident and social with other dogs and especially enjoys trips to the dog park. While Brisa can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up with patience and quickly becomes a cuddly, loving companion. Once she knows you, expect plenty of snuggles and cozy naps after a day of play. She’s a smart girl who learns quickly and redirects easily if she finds something she shouldn’t be chewing on. Brisa is also potty trained and crate trained, though she may need a few minutes to settle when kenneled. Brisa does have a diagnosis of epilepsy, which is currently well controlled with medication. She’s thriving in foster care and ready to find a loving family who will continue supporting her and enjoying all the sweetness she has to offer. If you’re looking for a playful best friend with a cuddly side, Brisa may be the perfect addition to your home! Adoption Fee: $525

****** COME VISIT ME AT FORGOTTEN STAR BREWING ON 6/13! June 13, 2026 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Forgotten Star Brewing Co. 38 Northern Stacks Dr, Fridley, MN ******* Age: 7 years old Weight: 15 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: TBD Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes, good on a schedule Crate trained: Yes & does well free roam Adoption fee: $495 Hi, I’m Pammy! A sweet, slightly chunky chihuahua with a big personality packed into my 14 lb body. I'm working towards a bikini body! I love daily walks, supervising the yard, and making sure the neighbor dogs stay in line. A fenced yard would be awesome! Please note no shared walls for me. I fit in great with other dogs and love being right in the middle of whatever my people are doing. I’m sweet, sassy, smart, and happiest surrounded by kindness and love. I can sleep in a crate or snuggled in bed — I’m flexible like that. I’m still figuring out toys, but I’m very willing to learn. Basically, I’m the perfect little sidekick looking for my forever family.
