Is getting rehab, but long walks or exercise should be adjusted based on his condition. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Miracle was brought to the Gimje Shelter with fractures in both hind legs and spine. Due to overcrowding, he couldn’t receive the care he needed at the shelter. Adogs rescued him, and he received orthopedic surgery and continuous treatment. 3⃣ Personality and Behavior • With People: Likes people and adjusts well! May be shy at first and after some time to sniff and explore, gets to be familiar to them. Once comfortable, he’ll wag his tail and approach for pets. • With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. Is calm in nature, and prefers quietly watching others rather than rough play. * With Cats: Does not mind cats and has no issue. • Separation Anxiety: Unknown due to the group living at the center. May need training at the home environment. • Potty Training: Has ccasional potty accidents. When getting surprised or getting up after sleep, accidental potty is on the cushion. • Grooming: Very well-behaved during baths. Once getting familiar, she shows her playful and adorable side. With the caregiver, she stays by the person's side, plays with her toys, naps, and even shows her belly. Is a bit wary of people standing and moving around; she usually keeps her distorted retreats to her kennel. * With Dogs: Got along well with other dogs at our center. Hasn’t met any dog friends since moving to the foster home. * With Cats: Hasn’t met them yet. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear, as she is rarely left alone in the foster home. * Potty Training: Has an accuracy rate of 99% pottying indoors on potty pads but she tries to move away before she's completely done pooping. * Hygiene: Gets a bath once a month. * Walks: Her vaccinations are not complete, so she hasn’t been on any walks. * Car Sickness: Didn’t show any signs of car sickness. * Doesn’t bite, but may nibble or nip since she’s still a teething puppy. Has started chewing on her paws pads recently, but not to an excessive degree. * Whines quietly when left alone in an unfamiliar environment. * Feels comfortable in her kennel and goes inside whenever she's scared or wants to rest. * Is very timid and easily scared of unfamiliar places, situations and people. * Already knows how to "sit" and "lie down."

Hello everyone. Meet Geezer and Grover, a bonded pair of senior Chihuahua mixes, dumped inside a fenced-in pool area at an apartment complex in San Antonio, Texas. It’s a miracle neither one fell in the pool and drowned, since they were both in very poor shape, emaciated, and trying desperately to drink water from the pool. They had missing fur and crusty skin, mostly along their backs and tail, from chronic fleas and itching. Geezer also had a massive hernia on his bottom and is missing most of his teeth. Thankfully, 4 Little Paws Rescue got hold of them, and their road to recovery began. Right away, both boys had special medicated baths, vaccines, neuters, and a much-needed hernia repair for Geezer. A few weeks later, they are healthy and happy and are ready to find a wonderful home to spend their golden years, although they are nowhere near ready for retirement!! I’m Grover. I’m about 10 years old, weigh 15 lbs, and I have adorable squatty legs and a happy little trot when I walk! I am a sweet and active little guy who loves squeaky toys and affection, sitting in your lap, getting pets and kisses. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy dog walks with my pack of doggy friends, but I’m not very playful. I am more the “hang out” with my doggy friends kind of guy. I am housebroken and know how to use a doggy door. I eat my kibble fast, so I use a puzzle bowl/slow-feeder. I only bark to alert, and although right now I sleep in a crate, I would probably be in heaven if I’m allowed to snuggle in bed with you! Geezer and I depend on each other for support and company. Parted, we anxiously pace and cry while looking for each other. We are relaxed and happy when kept together, and we are the best of friends!! Howdy from Texas! We are 2 cute little female Chihuahua mix puppies, Mila and Maizie, born on 9/20/25. Now that we are 3 months old, we are ready to find forever families. Our mama, Melody, is a pretty little 10 lb Chihuahua mix (see her picture), and based on our body shape, our Dad may have been a Dachshund. We were just a couple of days old when we were all picked up by the San Antonio City “kill” Shelter, but thankfully, we were rescued right away and have been in a foster home ever since. I’m Mila, and I’m a little squirt weighing in at just 4 lbs. I’m more reserved than my sister, tiny and shy, but oh so sweet! Both of us are very affectionate, curious about everything, have gobs of energy, and love to play with each other and our mama. We are not really into doggy toys or treats yet, but into snuggles and kisses, and being loved on. A cozy dog bed, squeaky toys, lots of love, and a warm lap to snuggle in are all on my bucket list. I’m well-behaved, only bark to alert, and I’m housebroken. Although I have very few teeth, most are molars, so no problem at all eating my yummy kibble. I have a happy and grateful attitude, and it's clear that I’m really enjoying my new lease on life! Hello from Texas! We are a bonded pair of 3-year-old Chihuahua mix brothers named Wren (12 lbs) and Magic (13 lbs), and we are looking for a forever home. We were found as puppies in the Rio Grande Valley, taken in by a man who has been helping all the stray dogs in his little city of San Juan. He wanted to keep us, but due to so many dogs and so little time to spend with us, he eventually reached out to 4 Little Paws Rescue for help. These days, we are living in a foster home outside San Antonio, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find our future together somewhere in the Eastern states. First and foremost, we are sweet and loving boys, very shy and docile when meeting new people, but warmed up to our foster parents in just a few days, with doggy treats and bits of table food as a delicious way to our hearts, LOL! Magic was the first to be brave, with Wren a safe distance behind. Once we feel safe, we are total snugglebugs, following you from room to room and snuggling beside you whenever possible. We are indifferent to other dogs but co-exist nicely, and are not yet playful, but maybe one day, as we are blossoming in baby steps. We are well-behaved, rarely bark, and are housebroken. We will cry when parted from each other, but do well at home, free range with the resident dogs while the humans are away. We are still scared of walking on a leash, but we are working on it. At bedtime, we will either be snuggled beside you in bed or be perfectly happy sleeping together in a crate with the door open.
