Sneezy!! 3 year old male Italian Grey Hound, Chihuahua mix. He is super sweet, happy and playful. He is house trained. Although he had his tail tucked when he came in and in the photo, he was giving kisses and being so sweet. He was surrendered to our sister shelter down south due to health issues with his owner. Sneezy gets along with the other smaller dogs but is a bit nervous and avoidant of larger dogs so we think it's best for him to go to a home without large dogs. Available for pre-adoption only. Allergic to cats but always dreamed of adopting one? Here is your perfect feral street cat in a dog’s body! Moe is a middle aged chi mix who originally came from a hoarding situation where he was clearly never ever touched. Probably even by his owner. He’s been in a great foster for a while and has made tremendous progress, but he needs someone who will accept him for who he is, and will probably never be the type of dog who will run over asking to be picked up and cuddled or greeting strangers at the door happily. Well, maybe 10 years from now when he’s blind, deaf, and arthritic he won’t mind being held and cuddled, but he’s a long way off from that. He thrives on routine and following his “pack” of doggie friends around. He actually seems to prefer the man of the house and will finally lay by him and allow some petting, but is still terrified of being leashed and most handling. He runs around happily wagging his tail, playing with the other dogs and loves his life as long as his limits are respected and is hoping to find a permanent pack where the dogs outnumber the humans in the household and he won’t be under pressure to conform to societal norms of how a dog should act. Meet senior chi Titan. We wish we could call him a sweet senior but that wouldn’t be accurate. This 11 year old chihuahua/potato hybrid looks happy and cheerful at first glance, but he’s not a fan of much touching unless it’s on his terms and by the people of his choosing. Luckily he’s missing all his top teeth, but his huge bottom fangs always protrude to remind you that they are there. Sometimes his eyes seem to reflect and glow bright red in the light too just to add to his fire breathing dragon/demon image 😈 Titan came to us when both his owners sadly died within a few months of each other. We don’t believe he was at fault but authorities can’t confirm or deny if he was responsible. He pleads the fifth. The other dogs in the house were alive so we can confirm he’s fine with other dogs. We got them also and they are very sweet seniors, a beagle and a Shih tzu/Yorkie mix. He’s been on some happy pills 💊 according to his vet records which has helped his attitude a little bit so maybe getting him back on them will chill him out. But he basically just wants a place to hang out and be himself, with or without other dogs is fine, and won’t tolerate the indignity of being carried around and dressed up like a furry little baby doll. We believe they were able to survive so long because they had each other, and now they need their forever home where they can feel safe and comfortable at last. Roo has a partial amputation or an old injury, and is missing part of his front leg, but that hasn’t stopped him yet!
