Meet Harry!This adorable 8 month old pup was living in a car with his mom and brother when their owner lost their housing. He's a little timid at first but a sweet playful puppy who warms up quickly and is a lot of fun. He loves other dogs and would love a more confident doggie brother or sister. His mom is a tiny 8lbs chihuahua believe it or not, and we are going to guess dad is a bigger maybe bully breed or terrier mix of some kind. Harry is about 13lbs and probably won't grow too much bigger. His mom has significant heart disease that is likely congenital and he does have a very mild heart murmur- he's getting more of a work up to see how significant it is but will need regular vet visits likely to monitor his progress as he ages. Abandoned with a Broken Heart:(Literally, this sweet but confused senior was brought to animal control and never claimed. He doesn't hear or see too well but bonds quickly and is a sweet sensitive boy who loves short walks and attention. His medical work-up revealed a heart murmur and significant heart disease- he's not in heart failure just yet but getting there. He's on 3 medications longterm to hopefully keep that from happening for as long as possible, but we don't know how long that will be. We are hoping to find him a quiet home in which to retire and enjoy whatever quality time he has. He's not too fond of other dogs and would probably prefer to be an only pet or have his own separate area away from others. Story

Sam came into rescue with his Pomeranian fur brother after their owner was evicted. He was the mighty protecter of his shy brother. He can be a little nippy in the beginning until he feels safe, so we would recommend a home with older children. He loves to go on car rides and leash walks. He has finally learned to go for a potty break off leash in the fenced yard. He has now been completely vetted. He did wear a belly band until after he was neutered to stop marking. He loves to run and play chase with the other small dogs. He seems to prefer the ladies. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. When a mama dog was run over by a car, leaving behind puppies, a rescuer stepped up to save the little ones. First up is Cashew. He IS a little nut, but he’s sweet and tender too! He was the one puppy of the four that hid so well, he almost wasn’t saved. He came to me several hours after the other three, after the second search. He is the biggest. He is also the one with the most tender heart who takes the word NO!! most seriously (if only for a minute), the one most EAGER for interaction- the one who is most excited to have a person playing with him. DNA results for the pups came back saying they are mostly Chihuahua and Cattle Dog. Cashew weighed in at 7.4 pounds on 12/30 but we expect the dogs to weigh 18 to 31 pounds when fully grown.
