Recently he lost his person who was unable to care for him anymore due to health reasons (in the human)- so we took him on where he can continue to enjoy the twilight of his time, surrounded by love and comfort. He has a long list of medical concerns from heart murmur, to oral fistulas (holes in his gums into his sinus cavity), missing and rotting teeth, IVDD as well as arthritis...but seriously, we want to bottle what this guy has because he's got spunk! He is a pretty chill dude but still finds the energy to run the fence chasing his neighbor pups and totters around the house looking for a soft place to snuggle. He's surrounded by other littles and a loving human who will continue to provide whatever he needs- until it's his time. Celebrate the seniors by sponsoring Ray's care. I came to rescue from a crowded shelter where I was running out of time, but thankfully I got my second chance — and now I’m hoping my forever family is next! Rock came to us from a partnered shelter where he was sadly at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space—but thankfully, he got the chance he deserved. Born around June 13, 2025, Rock is a terrier/dachshund mix with an adorable long body and a soft, submissive personality. He’s a friendly, easygoing pup who gets along with everyone he meets, making him a great fit for many types of homes. Rock would truly love a family of his own where he can feel safe and loved. **Charlie and Cody: Bonded Dachshund-Corgi Mix Brothers** Charlie and Cody are gentle, reserved brothers, approx. 15 months old, both neutered. They were left at the shelter with their three sisters, and after being separated from them, the boys formed a strong bond. Now, they are affectionate and starting to enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest. They are gradually building trust with their foster family and getting used to their new home. Both are safe, well-fed, and comfortable. They are up to date on vaccinations and have no known health issues, so they are ready for adoption. Their foster home does not have a fenced yard, and because Cody and Charlie are still settling in, they have not yet started using harnesses or going for walks on a leash. We hope the boys can be adopted together into a home with a fenced yard, so they have a safe place for potty breaks and can learn to walk on a harness and leash. Cody and Charlie might be shy at first, but they are curious and want to connect with people. They are motivated by food and will gladly take treats from your hand. They like being spoken to and respond well to a gentle voice. With time, patience, and love, they will become devoted companions. We prefer adopters who have experience with shy or untrained dogs, or who are open to guidance, to help the boys adjust smoothly to their new home. We do not know if they have been around children, so we recommend a home without kids or with children over 12.
