Story
Hi everyone - My name is Champa I want to tell you my story. It is much like most rescued dogs however, it begins in India. Yes - the country India. I am an Indian Street Dog and one of the lucky ones that found their way into the shelter when I was a puppy. I've lived my entire life in a shelter - and received all my medical care from the wonderful people who nursed me back to health. I did lose my front leg - but that does not stop me from being a normal loving dog looking for a family to love me. I was flown to the United States and currently in foster care with the founder of Stray Animals of India - Ujwala. She loves on me and cares for me every day while I wait for someone to adopt me. I get along with other dogs & am very friendly. I am leash trained, house trained and on monthly preventatives. All vaccines are current (especially since I traveled abroad to come here) and I am spayed. It takes me a bit to warm up to new people in my life, but with time I come around and will shower you with love and affection for giving me a second chance to enjoy a full life. Would you like to meet me? Please schedule a meet and greet. I am in Jacksonville, Florida but am able to meet you pretty much at your convenience. My adoption fee will be payable on adoption, along with a background check, reference check and home check.

Story
Hi there! My name is Toby . I am a 7 year old, 8 lb Chihuahua boy. I enjoy walks and laying outside in the sun. I love to sleep in the big bed with my foster mom, or keep her company on the couch. I'd love a "stay at home" or "work at home" mom or dad. You don’t have to worry about intruders. I’m an excellent back up for the doorbell. I’m house trained. I’m very loving and sweet and am fostering in Florida. Please visit our main site for more information or to apply to adopt.

Story
Sunny is a 12 year old male Miniature Poodle weighing 10 pounds. He was surrendered by his owner due to her poor health. This beautiful little boy was obviously loved all his life. He is quite the cuddle bug, and loves to come with you wherever you go. Although his eyesight is impaired, he can still hear extremely well, yipping from the bedroom when he’s slept in but hears me putting food in the dog dishes! He is house trained and used to being let out to potty. He likes his walks, just not too far or too fast. He is friendly with the other dogs in the house, but prefers being next to you wherever you are. Sunny is currently being fostered in North Carolina and can travel to his forever home. Please visit our main site for more information or to apply to adopt.

Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Meet Mindy, an adorable 9 year old,11 lb, cream colored Shih Tzu girl. She is a sweet soul who enjoys being outside in her fenced backyard, car rides, belly rubs, playing with toys and her K9 foster siblings. Even though Mindy can have her spurts of energy, her goal in life is to be your sidekick and fellow “couch potato”. She is a retired breeding kennel mamma, and like most of these pups, she needs a quiet home, and another dog to continue to learn from and help her adjust to her new life. She is house trained and leash trained (she loves walks), but she has not been able to manage stairs. She would need a one level home or someone who will be able to carry her up and down stairs as needed. Mindy loves her humans but is slow to warm up to new people. She would do best in a home that has adults only or older children. Mindy is dog AND cat tested and is fostering in western PA. Please visit our main site for more information or to apply to adopt.
