Story
Please help me find a home for this baby. He is a pit mix, 3 years old, fixed and utd on all shots and vet check ups. We’ve exhausted all options on helping him. After 6 weeks of professional in house training, meds, and behavioral training, he just can’t be housed with any other dogs. He is severely anxious and being around other animals makes it to the point where he just paces, pants and cries. He’s just miserable. He’s housebroken, he doesn’t eat or destroy anything and he’s never bitten anyone. He is extremely afraid of other dogs and he will go at them and bark and try to chase them off. He needs to be in a home with NO other pets. He needs someone who is around everyday to love on him as he has separation anxiety. He is low energy, and enjoys lying out in the yard, watching out the window, and cuddling. He’s very chill. He needs someone to love him and give him the life he deserves. The shelters won’t take him because he’s too anxious and being around other dogs makes

Story
Huckleberry is a very loyal boy to me. I’ve had him since he was 3mos. He turns 4yo on 05/06/2024. He’s house trained, never gets into things he’s not supposed to, & listens pretty good. Everything with him has been great up until the last year & a half. He’s a good boy but he has developed some anxiety. I used to be able to take him everywhere & he could be around anyone but recently he has started becoming more reactive to strangers (people & animals). He’s the sweetest to myself, my cat, my brother and my mom but just has a hard time with other people. I love this dog to pieces but i unfortunately am unable to care for him how he needs. Huck is in need of some good training & I know he will kick these behavior issues. We currently live in an apartment & it’s not the best for him. It breaks my heart but I know he will have a happier/healthier life in a different home. Huckleberry deserves a family who will love, be patient & get all his energy out! He needs someone with experience!!!

Bailey is a 10yr old, pure bred chocolate lab. She is extremely people oreinted with amazing eye contact and will never leave your side and/or sight. She absoloutely loves playing fetch and is a quick way to become her new best friend. She is very loving and enjoys being petted to the point, that if your hand is dangling, she will come up and pet herself. She is house trained and very easy to take care of. Unfortunately, I am relocating and have to find her a new home quickly. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Mostly, the visit from my foster aunt has made me a bit of a ladies man. Don’t get me wrong, I still prefer the company of men, since I am a little toughie. At least that is what my foster mom tells me. However, the softer lap is definitely more comfortable. Plus the ladies seem to give longer belly rubs and I like that too. My leash walks are also much more fun now that I have a pack to roam the neighborhood together. My foster mom says I still might have a set back on occasion, but my behavior is much improved. So if you are in the market for a little project, I just might be the pup for you. We would consider a couple, but with that Female need to be extremely patient. Hello there, It’s me Cooper ( you may remember me from earlier cuz’ I’m still lookin’ for my forever person) I’m a 3 year old extremely handsome terrier mix boy. I have been told I am a member in good standing of the He-Man Woman Hater Club and am looking for a Daddy that has a lifestyle that allows me to keep my good standing. For some crazy reason, I just don’t get along with the lovely female human type. (I don’t really hate them, just not for me!) I have no clue why, but hey, we all have our own “quirks”, right? As a terrier, I have requirements that must be met by my future Daddy. First, I must be the center of your universe. I love life as long as I get all the attention, so NO CHILDREN and NO OTHER PETS. In return, I will make you the center of my universe, snuggling and cuddling with you. Second, I require my Daddy to be a homebody, either work from home and/or retired as I am afflicted with separation anxiety. Third, I must be exercised on a very regular basis. I know that I really need an active Daddy and I also require a secured fenced in yard in a single family home (sorry, no townhomes, condos, manufactured homes and no rentals.) I know that’s going to eliminate some great Dads, but it’s what’s bestest for me. I might be little, but I require a lot of room to stretch my legs as I like to zoom, zoom, zoom throughout the back yard. It is my job to keep all predators out of the back yard and I am excellent at my job, if I do say so myself. Fourth, Bones and Toys!!!! I enjoy chewing on bones and playing with my toys. Fifth, lottsa love and patience!!! I am a good boy when all my requirements are fulfilled, which is mostly LOVE. I will also require regular grooming, so please keep that in mind. I share my current foster home with “Big Daddy” he sets all the rules here, and guess what? I’m a better boy for it. I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on my heartworm and flea prevention! So, anywho, I just want to mention, and not to be mean or disrespectful, but if you don’t meet all my needs, please don’t apply for me. There are some other great pups in our rescue that might fit into your home better. I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on my heartworm and flea prevention. Applications that don’t meet my requirements will be not be processed and will be closed. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for me (might be the best decision of your life!) I really really hope my new Daddy is out there looking for his best boy, me! Available for adoption at www.VIPRescue.org Dog Name: Harold DOB: 12/12/2017 Breed: Shih tzu/mini poodle mix Weight : 22 lbs current weight – Needs to a lose a few ;-( Gender: Male House trained: Yes Location: Indian Rocks Beach, Fl Gets along with cats: No Gets along with Dogs : Yes NO KIDS Fenced Yard: REQUIRED – Fenced yard attached to your home. Hi friends, my name is Harold! I’m a 5 year old, a shih tzu/mini poodle mix (a Shi-poo) who weighs about 22lbs(needs to lose a few). Do you remember me? I was adopted about a month ago and we tried to adjust to each other, but I learned that I need a home with only one human, I bond with one person and only one person. Life is a journey and we learned this about me. I’m all good now, and, well, I’m baaaaaaaack! And looking for my one and only human. My favorite things are grassy backyards, car rides, going new places, walking the neighborhood on my leash, and of course, companionship and attention. I am a playful, friendly and affectionate guy. Did I mention super handsome too? Even got myself a new haircut, a big thank you to the nice folks at Pampered Paws Grooming Salon who volunteered their time to get me cleaned up! I sure feel better without all that long hot hair!! I will require regularly scheduled grooming appointments, so please consider the extra cost of that prior to submitting your application. If you cannot afford and are not willing to have me professionally groomed on a regular basis, like every 8-10 weeks, I am not the dog for you. Please consider one of my fellow short haired, non grooming required rescue friends instead. I like and get along great with other friendly dogs, although I may bark when we first meet. Don’t take it personally, I’m just saying “hi, new friend.” Foster mom has introduced me to many dogs (and humans) and I love most everyone that respects my space, both in rest and play mode. (that’s a big thing with me) I share beds, toys and water bowls nicely too. Food, not so much – that’s my kibble! Paws of fellow canines!! I would do well in a home with an already established small to medium size (under 35 lbs), friendly and very well socialized dog. I could also be an only dog, so long as I am your primary significant other. I do not want to be at home by myself for extended hours so if you work full time outside of the home, I’m really not the guy for you. I bond with one person and one person only in the home. If you are not a single human home I am not the guy for you. Keep me on regular potty schedule and I’m pretty much housebroken. Like I said above, you need to be home to play with me and let me out to potty, not working all the time. I like routines and schedules, I’ll even let you know if you’re running late on my meal times. How do I do that? Foster mom calls it barking, but I’m really just talking to her about my wants and needs. I also “talk” to the delivery people, the garbage truck, people and things like big birds that appear outside the windows, and the doorbell, for example. I’m kind of like a little security alarm, which foster mom says can be a good thing, but if you or your environment is sensitive to canine talking (barking), I am not the doggie for you. Foster mom says I am excellent on leash. She often walks me with 1-2 of my other dog friends and I don’t mind matching my pace with others. I love playing outside! I will need a single family adult only home with a secured fenced in yard for me to run, play and sniff. Sorry folks, no condos, townhomes, villas or rentals. This is not negotiable, and I sure hope you understand, but it’s what’s best for me. Truth be told, I am not a big fan of those little humans you people call kids. If you have young children in your home or children that visit your home, I am not the dog for you. Please take note of this prior to submitting your Application because foster mom says this is not negotiable. Foster mom does not have cats, but she’s got a little tiny dog that I am very friendly with and do not chase, but I really would prefer a “feline free” home, ok? Now, don’t I sound like the perfect pup? I think I am, but I do have some “quirks” that foster Mom will discuss with only the approved applicants. I will say that I MUST have an experienced dog owner, I’m not a 1st time pet for sure. You MUST be very active to keep up with all my playful energy, so if you’re a young, experienced active human, I might just be for you! Oh, another thingy, a home visit will be required for an approved applicant, and you must live within 1 hour of the St Petersburg/Clearwater area. I am up to date on my vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, a fresh dental and on flea and heartworm prevention. I’m ready to move along to my forever home, but foster mom is happy to have me for as long as it takes to find my perfect match, I’m not the easiest pupper to own due to my “quirks”. After reading and considering all of the above, if you think you might be the person for me, please submit your application for review at VIPRescue.org ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS FOR HAROLD: You must be a permanent resident of FL, and be a very experienced dog owner, and as cute as he is, he’s not the doggie for a first time pet owner due to his “little quirkiness”. Harold does require a 6-foot fenced yard in a single family home. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, they must be current on vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. Harold could typically live 12-15 years, so keep his lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting him. Your age should be appropriate for his estimated lifespan.

Scout / Redington Beach AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!! viprescue.org DOG NAME: Scout / Redington Beach DOB: 2/9/23 DOG BREED: Mini Schauzer mix/West highland terrier DOG WEIGHT: 12lbs GENDER: Male HOUSE TRAINED: Yes, as long as he is let out often, is still in the puppy learning stage LOCATION: Redington Beach FL GOOD WITH DOGS: No NEEDS TO BE A ONE AND ONLY COOD WITH CATS; No GOOD WITH KIDS: Yes older, 12+, respectful that can deal with puppy playful energy COLOR: white FENCED YARD: Recommended SINGLE FAMILY HOME, No apartments, townhomes, condos. Female only Home PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO Scout is an adorable 1 year old, 12 lbs mini schnauzer/west highland terrier mix puppy,. For sure, this little guy is ALL puppy! Puppies are tons of fun but do require ALOT of work and training on your part to be the best pup he can be! He needs love, attention and lots of consistency especially for housebreaking! His little bladder can't hold it all day so please make sure you can commit to the puppy not being left alone for long periods of time. If that's not possible, please consider one of our adult dogs which might be better suited for your lifestyle! He loves leash walks, but is nervous with getting his harness on, he does get a little protective at first if we see other pups on the walk. He would love to have a FEMALE human or 2 for his new family, he NEEDS TO BE the ONE AND ONLY pet in the home! MUST be very active as he is quite the energizer bunny when it comes to attention and playtime! . He loves to play ball, and would all day if you have the energy and patience. He does play with fluffy, stuffy toys on his own. He loves to snuggle after playing, and his favorite place is on top of his human, maybe a lap or your legs. As long as part of him is touching his human. He would need a single family home preferably with a secure fenced in yard so he can have a place to run and burn some of his puppy energy off. He is mostly house trained, but still being a puppy, he needs to get out often and of course he is going to need to get into a routine in his new home, but he is getting there! He is in a foster home with other pups and is learning quickly how to be a “good boy”. Scout was surrendered as he was not in a safe environment. He was in a home that had too much energy and was very vocal. Yep that can happen sometimes. There were younger, active, vocal kids along with larger, active vocal dog. And active vocal adults.. This caused Scout some confusion. Several months ago he started, as his communications To become growly/and growling at the active, vocal energy around him.. He also developed some resource guarding. There was some training to try to correct this. His foster mom is continuing his training.. He’s a work in progress. He is also FEARFUL of men. He takes a little bit to trust. His new home will need to have a confident Alfa Female human to teach him and guide him on all things trusting and how to be the BESTEST boy. And to build his confidence. Prefer a home without men. Don’t let all the cuteness fool you.? He’s a puppy. He’s a work in progress if you have the patience to work with him. He’s learning to be the bestest boy and who can resist that great smile, and those ears. Scout has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Might he be the guy for you? Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Love and tail wags!!!! Please submit an application with the viprescue.org to come meet me and give me the best life. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan.
