Story
Tilly /Redington Beach Available for Adoption VIPRescue.org Breed: Maltese mix Age: 4 years young Sex: Female Weight: 16.6 lb currently, needs to lose a few( don’t we all?😉) Color: White DOGS: Yes she gets along great with similar age and size pups. she is an Alpha, needs a submissive companion Potty trainer: Not yet we are working on it. Kids: Respectful 10+ with dog experience Fenced Yard: Required, securely attached to the home. Must be an experienced dog owner **Please read entire bio** Tilly is a very sweet 4 yr old Maltese mix sweetie who happens to be a real clinger, as she does not let her foster mom out of her sight! She is quick to get in or through any doorway when foster mom moves about the home. Yup, go in the kitchen, Tilly is already there waiting, go to the living room, she’s right there, to the bathroom yep she is right there with a very watchful eye. She is not being left out or left behind ever again. (Please read her original post a little further down our page.) Get close to the leash she is a wiggle butt, food bowls out, more wiggle butt. For her safety, she is crated only when foster mom needs to run an errand or leave the house for a short time. Tilly settles into her crate, so she wont try to follow foster mom out of the house. Holy moly, when foster mom comes home, there’s wiggle butt Tilly, all dancy, spinny, happy girl to see her human home. She is looking for a home where the human(s) are home more often than not, a work from home or retired family would be best for her, and of course you’ll have to give up any of your private space with Ms. Tilly around! 😂 Tilly is working on house training and is good as long as she is let out often. She is great on the leash and enjoys walks, and loves it in the fenced in yard as long as there is a human there with her as well. If you don’t go out with her, she will do her business where you are, so there’s that…hmmmm best to go out with her then, right? 🤷‍♀️🤗 She is good with the other dogs in the foster home, as long as she is the lead/alpha, she is being exposed to puppies and small dogs and is happy to watch them and is now starting to engage with them. Her favorite is to play with a puppy. We would love to see her new home with a doggy friend who is submissive and friendly of similar age or younger and size to play with, or maybe consider adopting her with Keller (see separate bio), She engages with him the most. And toys, oh yes, toys are great fun, we were told she plays with toys and then dismantles them, they get repaired and then she dismantles them again, What fun right???? Tilly does express herself with her voice on walks and well as home and can get barky sometimes, She wants everyone to notice her and say hi, so due to this she will require a single family home, no condos, apartments, townhouse or any home with shared walls. Thank you for understanding, as this is what’s best for her. She is the lead dog on the walks and will try to correct the other pups should they try to be the lead pup. She LOVES to sleep in her humans bed, and according to her this is not negotiable. She will help turn the cover down for you and fluff them up while she waits for the human to join her, then when her human gets in bed she tries to snuggle as close as she can get, next to you or at least having a paw touch you. We are working on her not being on top of her human, she needs to be able to breathe! 😂 Who can blame her after being left to fend for herself for several months, she deserves a cuddle buddy. 🐾❤️ Tiilly is spayed, current on her vaccinations, microchipped and current with flea and heartworm prevention. She will require grooming every 4-6 weeks, and grooming can run anywhere from $60.00-$120.00 per visit, so keep that in mind with your budget too! She did great with grooming, she was not a fan of a bath, but made it through without too much drama and splashing around. 😬 Does this sound like the girly for you? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pets estimated lifespan. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio of the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue. VIPRescue.org

Story
Willow / Myakka City Available for adoption www.VIPRESCUE.org Breed: Standard Poodle Age: 2.5 yr DOB 1-13-2023 Sex: Female Weight: 50 lb Color: White Gets along with DOGS: Yes Gets along with Cats: No Kids: Respectful 13+ with dog experience Fenced Yard: Yes, 6 ft or higher secured fenced in yard is required. Meet Willow, a super friendly, 2 1/2 year old 50lb. girl that acts like your typical 2 year old standard poodle, active and on the go! Her ideal home would consist of active adults who can commit to several walks or a run, and games at least a couple times a day. We think Willow could do great at something like FastCat ( a timed 100 yard dash for dogs where they chase a lure down a straight course) or agility. We recommend that there be no young children, tiny dogs, or cats in the home because littles move quickly and startle her, and she’s also not aware of her size and can play a little rough. She’d love a committed family who is able to do more training with her. She is smart as a whip and has a ton of potential. Although friendly, she is a little skittish at first but does warm up and it will take a couple of days for her to get used to her new family and surroundings, so Willow’s new home must have the time and patience with her. Willow is great on a leash, and is always up for adventures. She has been taken to busy activities and does well. She also does well with other dogs medium size and larger. She’s doing well with training and knows sit, stay, come, fetch, hoop (jump through) and again, would benefit with some additional training both mentally and physically to help burn off some of her high energy. She loves to play outside, she gets the zoomies and loves to play with and in water. Willow’s new home is required to have at least a 6ft or higher secured fenced in yard, sorry, there are no exceptions, because this is what she needs due to her energy level and safety. Willow is very playful, however she does get fearful with strangers at first (barks and backs away) until she feels comfortable. One more thing to consider if you’re interested in adopting this fabulous gal, is the cost of grooming. She’ll require regular Grooming, which can be costly, so please keep that in mind as part of your budget. Willow is completely housebroken, spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and is on heartworm and flea prevention as well. So, what do you think? Do you have the time, patience and energy to keep up with our amazing Willow? If you’d like to add her to your family, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. *** Willow is fostered in MYAKKA CITY, FL. You must travel to MYAKKA CITY to meet Willow and bring any other pets and residents you have for the meeting. If you would like more information on Willow, or to be considered for adoption, you must complete an adoption application at www.viprescue.org. Our volunteer will contact you once your application is approved. We are unable to respond to your emails and messages without you first completing an adoption application. **ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS** You must be a Florida resident and a homeowner, be at least 25 years of age to adopt. Dixie Redington Beach Available for adoption VIPRescue.org Dog Name: Dixie/Redington Beach DOB: 11/12/2018 (approx) DOG BREED: Pomeranian mix DOG WEIGHT: 16.6 lbs GENDER: Female HOUSE TRAINED: PeePad trained working on leash walks LOCATION: Redington Beach, FL GOOD WITH DOGS: Yes, similar size. No large dogs GOOD WITH KIDS: Not recommended GOOD WUTH CATS: Not recommend COLOR: Brown FENCED YARD: Not required but preferred, she will need supervision when in yard at all times. She is now and active lizard hunter. **We will verify ALL information on your application, any incomplete applications will be closed** 11-24-25 - PUPDATE We’d like you to read our sweet Dixie’s update. As she becomes more comfortable and familiar with her new surroundings in her foster home, her true personality is coming out and she is absolutely adorable! She has become an expert Lizard chaser as she can find them anywhere. She perks up as soon as she spies one and the chase is on or even hide and seek is fun to. We discovered Dixie’s playful drive at the Dogtoberfest held last weekend in Dunedin. Our tent location was facing the Lure course (flag on a remote control line and the dogs are stimulated chasing it) Yes Dixie most certainly had her turn and boy did she love it. She completed one entire circuit around the course. You go girl! Ha! As you can see, our darling lizard chasing lure coursing girl most certainly will enjoy an active household, and maybe one that will get her involved in some type of agility? We bet she’d love it! Dixie is still in search of her “Fur"ever home. If you are ready to welcome this sweet active girl into your heart and home, please visit our website VIPRescue.org to review her complete bio, and if you think you’d be the perfect fit for her, please fill out an adoption application as we’re sure Dixie would love to be settled in her new home for the Holidays! 11-13-25 Well hello there! I’m Dixie, a 7 year old 16lb Pommy mix girl! My human became ill and could no longer take care of me, and surrendered me to VIP Rescue. As soon as I got here, I went straight to the “dogtor” for a complete check up as I had never been to a place like that before. Thank goodness all is well and I’m ready to find my new human to share my life with! My ideal new place would a quieter, active adult home, no kids please, with someone who is home most of the time, either a retiree or maybe an adult who works from home, with a secure fenced yard. Foster Mom has other littles in the house, I like them, but I could also be your one and only and you can spoil me rotten. I get all kinds of excited when I hear Mom gathering the leashes for a walk, I really like that, cuz I get to do all the “sniffies” in the neighborhood and boy, do I like those! I’m working on “housebreaking” training, (whatever 🙃 lol) and am currently tinkle pad trained. I’m learning to go outside when we go on those awesome walks with foster Mom. Since I’m so cute and fluffy, keep in mind that I will need regular grooming appointments which can run anywhere from $60.00 and up each time, so please prepare that in your budget cuz that’s really important for me to have done. I’m spayed, current on my vaccines, had a recent dental, am microchipped and on flea and heartworm prevention as well. If you’re interested in me or in both me and my friend Daisy, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Hope to meet you soon! Story
Ranger is a 1 year and 3 month old purebred German Shepherd (born October 28, 2024). We got him from a breeder in Florida and have had him since he was eight weeks old. He is a typical shepherd, loyal, follows you around the house, loves playing ball, and loves swimming. Ranger would do best with a calm, confident, experienced handler who can continue building his confidence and provide clear boundaries. He is not a good fit for a home with young children, and would thrive with a single person, a couple, or teens who understand respecting a dogs space. He has worked with a professional trainer since puppyhood, and his trainer will help vet adopters and provide two free sessions to support a smooth transition. Ranger is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm prevention, and intact to support his growth. We love Ranger and want to find him the right home where he can truly thrive. Adjectives: loyal, intelligent, goofy, playful, energetic, athletic

Story
Rory is a very sweet dog. She loves the outdoors and to be active. Chasing birds and playing fetch is her favorite activity. The reason she is up for adoption is because we have another dog and a cat and she is not good with other animals. She is a perfect dog for a household with no other animals.
