Story
Arthur is a gentle soul who is still learning to feel safe and comfortable around new people. He can be very shy and scared at first, preferring to quietly observe and take in his surroundings before he’s ready to engage. Arthur appreciates having the time and space to get to know people at his own pace, allowing trust to grow naturally without feeling rushed. For him, progress happens one small step at a time, and each moment of growing confidence is something worth celebrating. He’s looking for a patient and understanding person who will let him come out of his shell on his own timeline and provide the consistency and kindness he needs along the way. Arthur may need a little more time to show you who he truly is, but watching his confidence grow and earning his trust can make the bond you build together all the more meaningful.

Story
Hi, I’m Evie—playtime professional, and master cuddle bug. I'm happy to spend the day doing anything, so long as it's with you. I have been an excellent student during my stay at HSSC, mastering all the basics like "sit", "drop", and waiting patiently at doorways. I've developed some excellent leash manners; though I am occasionally excited by the rogue squirrel, I've found walks to be far more enjoyable when you stop and sniff the flowers. I love to explore and would be over the moon to have a walking buddy who’s up for some adventures. The staff and volunteers say I’m clever, full of life, and endlessly affectionate. I'm a sensitive girl still learning the ropes of independence; I consider myself to be somewhat of a homebody, and I would love the company of someone just like me. My friends here say I'd make an excellent work-from-home companion, whatever that means. Sounds like fun though! If you’re looking for a joyful, goofy sidekick who’s equal parts fun and love, I just might be your match. Let’s build something special together—starting with a game of fetch and ending with forever.
