Story
Sammy is a smart, energetic, and loving dog who is looking for a new home where she can thrive. She loves long walks, running in the backyard, and chasing squirrels. She is house-trained, knows many commands, has good recall, and is generally quiet, only barking when someone comes to the door. Sammy has lived with a family and has done well with routine and exercise. She enjoys belly rubs and attention from people she knows, but is also very independent. She has also done well at doggie daycare and gets along with some dogs, though she can be selective and may do best as the only pet or with a calm, compatible dog. Sammy does need a home without small children. She can be reactive toward dogs that approach her aggressively. She is up to date on all vaccinations and in good health, with only a sensitivity to dairy worth noting. She may need some time to decompress in a new home, but she has shown time and again that she's capable of trust and growth. Sammy's family loves her deeply and is making this decision with her best interests at heart. She deserves a calm, stable environment where she can feel safe — and with the right fit, she'll thrive. Story
Some dogs spend their golden years surrounded by the people who have loved them their whole lives. Sadly, that wasn't Nala's story. At 10 years old, Nala was found walking alone alongside the road on June 27. She was brought to the shelter, and although she was microchipped, no one ever came to take her home. After everything she'd been through, Friends of Freddy Dog Rescue stepped in to give her a second chance. Now, this sweet senior girl is searching for the forever family she has always deserved. Nala is a 10-year-old, 64-pound, spayed sweetheart whose favorite things in life are simple: belly rubs, gentle scratches, leisurely walks, long naps, and spending time with her person. She's happiest curled up nearby, soaking in the love and companionship she's missed for far too long. She's looking for someone who wants a true best friend. Nala would much rather trade dog park adventures for quiet evenings on the couch, where she can relax beside the person she loves. Her ideal day starts with a peaceful walk, followed by plenty of naps and quality time together. She's the perfect reminder to slow down and enjoy life's little moments. Nala does need to be the only dog in the home so she can have all the love and attention to herself. She'll thrive with someone who understands her needs, lets her enjoy her meals in peace, and is ready to spoil her the way every senior dog deserves. After ten years, abandonment shouldn't be the ending to Nala's story. Help us give her the happy ending she's been waiting for.

Story
Our dog has been well loved for 5.5 years. He has grown up with a Belgium malinois (older than him). Their relationship has increased stress on him. He is now constantly marking. He is fearful of going in the yard. We have tried trainers and diapers and keeping them separate. We want the best for him. He was found on the streets in Mexico and traveled here through an agency. He deserves to be an only dog. Kids or not, he is sweet and calm. Fearful of dogs so will not be a friendly dog in a dog park. At daycare he stays w the trainers. We cannot rehome the other dog as she is older and aggressive. We have too much in our lives to keep trying and hope he can find a more peaceful home. We can no longer keep the dogs separate in our house.

Story
They tried to throw her life away...twice. But Charlie said “not today.” 🐾 From living in filth, horribly neglected… to surviving a fire that should’ve been the end… to landing on a euthanasia list… And still—she’s here. Wagging. Hoping. Waiting. Charlie didn’t give up, and neither are we. This 40 lb house hippo is equal parts chaos & cuddles 💛 • Tail-chasing pro • Fetch queen • Part-time comedian, FULL-time “woo-woo” 👑 Yes… she talks to you. No… you will not win 😂 Charlie LOVES people and is just a little too excited sometimes — she’d thrive with someone to guide her ❤️ ✔ Crate & potty trained ✔ Leash trained (prong collar experience) ✔ Knows basic commands (and DEFINITELY “no” 😂) ✨ Heartworm positive — currently undergoing treatment. Foster-to-adopt needed so she can settle in while healing 💛 Charlie would do best as the only pet or with an experienced multi-dog household. Kids 10+ due to her exuberant nature.

Story
Meet Champ Champ may not have had the best start in life, but you'd never know it from his happy, goofy personality. This sweet boy arrived at a high-intake shelter where dogs are euthanized simply because there isn't enough space. He was heartbreakingly emaciated, but despite everything he'd been through, Champ never lost his kind spirit. Now safe in rescue, he's been enjoying regular meals, lots of love, and has already gained back some much-needed weight. He still has a few more pounds to put on, but he's well on his way to becoming the healthy, thriving puppy he was always meant to be. At around 5 months old and 30 pounds, Champ is all puppy—playful, silly, and always ready to make you smile. He absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion or an active family ready to help him continue learning about the world. And we have to mention his signature look... Champ has the most adorable pouty little lip that will absolutely melt your heart. Between that irresistible face and his goofy personality, it's impossible not to fall in love with him. Champ has left his difficult past behind and is ready for a future filled with belly rubs, toys, adventures, and people who will never let him wonder where his next meal is coming from. If you're looking for a loyal, goofy best friend with a heart as big as his smile, Champ is ready to meet you.
