Story
Stella is doing great at her foster home & is READY FOR HER FUREVER HOME! This stunning black beauty is 2 years old, 47 lbs & healthy! She is a velco girl who loves to follow you around, cuddles, is potty trained & crate trained. She is high energy & requires daily exercise like all bull terriers do to burn her energy off. She jumps on new people she meets but allows you to take toys away from her with ease & is an overall wonderful girl who would benefit from basic training. We think she would be best as only pet in the home. Apply online to make Stella the queen of your castle! Iron is THE PERFECT GENTLEMAN & doing great in his loving foster home! Pictured is him relaxing next to his foster Mama while she works from home aka sleeping on the job. 😆 Like Lily, we got conflicting heartworm test results from his snap tests (one positive & one negative) so he goes this week for further diagnostics to confirm that he is hopefully heartworm negative which means he is healthy & ready to be adopted! 🤞🏻 Iron is 5 years old, 82 lbs & just a gentle giant! He is the world’s SWEETEST boy who is super mellow, easy going, great for walks, good in his crate, loves toys, enjoys cuddling & loves just chilling on the couch with his people! He is laidback, dog friendly, easy at the vet & loves everyone he meets! He does have KCS dry eye which is common in bull terriers it requires daily eye cleaning & drops which he is super good for which makes it very easy. Apply online to scoop up this perfect gem! Story
This beautiful, 75-pound sweet girl arrived at OCAS last October. Unfortunately, the catalyst for her arrival here at the shelter is very unfortunate. Trigger warning: suicide. From what we understand from law enforcement, her owner lit their apartment on fire and committed suicide. It seems the attempt may have been to harm the dog through this endeavor as well, but the fire was able to be put out. Dallas has come out of her shell since arriving to our sanctuary. She desires to be with her human as much as possible and despite her age (8 years young), is extremely playful. Dallas is a professional at fetch. She loves toys and stuffed animals. She is very food motivated. She went on a weight loss journey and is now at a healthy weight. Dallas is good with other dogs but we have no clue how she is with children or cats. She is vaccinated and spayed. She is healthy. Dallas can be weary of strangers so she needs time to warm up and would do best in a home where there aren't many visitors constantly coming through the home. This dog is extremely special and whoever makes her apart of their family is very lucky. Story
Sundae is a friendly dog whose owner was incarcerated, and she was abandoned at a reporter’s house where she gave birth. All of her puppies have been adopted and of course, Sundae is left behind looking for a forever home. She had a near death experience with a severe case of pneumonia when we first pulled her from the shelter. Sundae has recovered, and is now healthy and thriving. She is extremely sweet and loves to play. She's on the smaller side for her breed at about 35 pounds fully grown. Despite being a former mother, she is a puppy at heart. She desires walks and play-time in the yard. She gets along with other dogs but does not do well with cats. Sundae has a high prey drive. She is easily trainable and listens well. Sundae LOVES to swim! She is spayed, vaccinated, and chipped. If you would like to adopt Sundae, please apply and submit an application to be considered. https://www.charliescornersanctuary.com/adopt ##2213522##

Story
I've been waiting over a year for a home with no applications. Teddy Bear was rescued from a neglectful home. A kind volunteer got the owners to surrender Teddy Bear to us by paying them $50. Teddy Bear has been forced to be outside his entire life. He has been eaten alive by fleas and mosquitos. He was also starving and malnourished. Teddy's ears were also damaged because the other dogs in the neglectful home were so hungry, that they were chewing his ears. Despite the horrific backstory Teddy has, he is the sweetest boy. He loves attention and cuddles. Teddy is still on the journey of recovery. Because Bear was so traumatized from the abuse he endured, he is very sensitive. You need to move slowly and communicate with intential touch so he feels safe. Once he feels like he is safe, he loves belly rubs. He is very affectionate. Although Bear is technically a senior, he's not slow at all. He loves to play and loves to go on walks.  But not for very long. He does tired out easily due to his age.  Bear needs to be the only dog (animal) in the house. He isn't dog friendly (reactive) due to being attacked so severely in the past and he has an extremely high prey drive. No cats, farm animals, birds, etc.  Teddy Bear is an anxious dog and requires patience from an experienced owner. He gets very scared by loud voices or quick movements. So NO young children in the household. Older children would be fine.  Houses only Teddy Bear needs a fenced in backyard to exercise and use the bathroom safely. Walking him in a neighborhood with unpredictable elements like off leash dogs would be a disaster. He needs his own private safe area due to his reactivity.   Potty trained and knows basic commands. He isn't destructive, but loves a good Amazon box sometimes. 100% good boy.  Bear loves to cuddly and play. He may be 9 years old but he is very active and silly. He also gives the best cuddles.  For grooming, Bear gets very stressed out by baths since he never had a bath until he came to us. He needs to be muzzled and in a private quiet environment to be bathed. Teddy Bear would need to be established with a private experienced groomer or owners would have to learn to groom him.    Apply to adopt Teddy Bear here: https://www.charliescornersanctuary.com/adopt ##2089876##
