✨ PRINCESS LEIA ✨ This princess is officially ready to find her forever galaxy. 🌟 Princess Leia recently had to have one of her front legs removed due to a deformity. She underwent surgery at the shelter, and when we saw this sweet girl trying to recover there, we knew we couldn’t leave her behind. And honestly? She has turned out to be one of the MOST loving dogs ever. 💕 Leia absolutely adores people. She wants to be close to her humans at all times, and if you stop petting her before she’s ready… she will absolutely let you know about it. 😂 ✨ Professional snuggler ✨ Certified cuddle expert ✨ Loves attention ✨ Very people-oriented ✨ Sweet, affectionate personality ✨ Healing beautifully and ready for home life Princess Leia is already spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and her leg is healing wonderfully. She’s officially ready to leave rescue life behind and become someone’s spoiled little princess forever. Three legs? No problem. Leia is too busy loving everyone she meets to let that slow her down. 🐾👑

Story
🤎 BESSIE 🤎 Bessie almost lost her life because people thought something was wrong with her. When she entered the shelter, she was showing neurological symptoms and was diagnosed with ataxia and a concerning heart murmur that staff believed would make surgery unsafe and lead to lifelong medical issues. But that wasn’t the real story. What no one realized at first was that Bessie had likely been beaten before arriving at the shelter, and the trauma she experienced caused temporary neurological symptoms. Once she was safe, loved, and properly evaluated, it became clear that Bessie was going to be just fine. ❤️ Since entering rescue care, Bessie has been: ✔️ Spayed ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Fully vaccinated ✔️ Cleared and ready for adoption And now her true personality is shining through. Bessie is a total cuddle bug who LOVES her people. She adores dog friends, enjoys playing, and has the goofy, silly personality boxer lovers know and adore. She’s medium energy — happy to play, happy to snuggle, and always entertaining with her funny antics. 😂 Bessie does have some reactivity toward squirrels and fast-moving outdoor distractions, so she wears a basket muzzle on walks to help manage that safely and successfully. She walks well with it, and it allows people to confidently take her out without worrying about reactions. Because of this, Bessie would do best with: ✨ An experienced dog handler ✨ Someone familiar with boxer breeds ✨ A structured, loving home that understands reactive dogs And in return? You’ll get an incredibly loving, loyal, hilarious best friend. Bessie survived trauma, heartbreak, and being misunderstood. Now she’s ready for the forever home she always deserved. 🐾 Bessy is a 2 or 3 year old Boxer mix. Her adoption fee is waived with $100 credit towards helping her get settled in her new home! Her adoption application can be found at www.mysaltydog.com

Story
FROM SHELTER DOG TO SOMEONE’S SOUL DOG Meet Duke This handsome young black Lab mix sat in a shelter for far too long — not because there was anything wrong with him, but simply because he was in a location where hardly anyone comes to adopt. His time was running out, and he was placed on the euthanasia list through absolutely no fault of his own. So we stepped in and saved his life. And honestly? Duke has turned out to be one of the BEST dogs imaginable. ✔️ Housebroken ✔️ Never had a single accident in foster care ✔️ Playful and fun ✔️ Sweet and loving ✔️ Great personality ✔️ Typical happy-go-lucky Lab energy ✔️ Loves people and just wants to be part of a family Duke is the kind of dog people are always searching for — friendly, easygoing, affectionate, and ready for adventure or couch cuddles. He’s young, healthy, and truly has so much love to give. Black dogs are so often overlooked in shelters, and Duke almost lost his life because of it. We know his perfect family is out there somewhere. Duke's application cam be found at www.mysaltydog.com. Come meet him today!

⚡️ DOBBY IS A FREE ELF ⚡️ Dobby has been given a sock… and freed from the shelter! 🧦 Now this adorable little house elf is searching for the wizarding family of his dreams. 🪄 At only about 6 months old, poor Dobby spent far too much of his puppyhood growing up in a rural shelter where hardly anyone comes to adopt. He waited there for over a month and a half — which is a HUGE portion of a puppy’s life. No baby should spend their growing-up days in a shelter kennel. But despite all of that, Dobby is still the sweetest, happiest little puppy imaginable. ❤️ ✨ Sweet and loving ✨ Playful puppy energy ✨ Adorable house-elf ears ✨ Ready to devote himself to his humans Dobby will be getting fixed on Wednesday, May 20, and will be ready to go home on or after Wednesday! If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick who will happily serve as your personal house elf (minus the cleaning magic), Dobby is your guy. ⚡️ Apply to adopt Dobby at: [www.mysaltydog.com](http://www.mysaltydog.com) ⚡️

Story
Wally is a very active, extremely intelligent boy. He’s a huge cuddle bug who also enjoys running, car rides, climbing, swimming, toys, doggy friends, learning new things and all things exiting! Wally is crate trained and has a solid obedience foundation. He is a high energy dog and will need a home that understands this. He would do great with an active family, sport dog home, or even in specialized fields like scent work!
