Story
Joey is a handsome 2-year-old Lab/Pointer mix with lots of energy and a big heart. He was found as a puppy on the streets and has been cared for ever since, but he’s ready to find a home that better matches his active personality. This boy is very energetic, athletic, and intelligent, and he would thrive with an owner who enjoys outdoor activities. With his Lab and Pointer traits, Joey shows strong potential for hunting, especially duck hunting, or any job that keeps him mentally and physically engaged. He would do best in a home where he has plenty of space to run and a family that can give him lots of exercise and attention. Joey is loyal, alert, and eager to please—he just needs the right person to channel his energy.

Story
My mother passed away and we already have 3 dogs and 2 cats. He really needs to be with an older person who is settled, stays home, and wants to keep him inside with them. He does bark if there is alot going on in his surroundings. He is dominant with male dogs so would do best with only female other dogs. He is great with cats. He loves snuggles, being close to you, and sleeping under the covers.

Story
Meet Noelle — a beautiful 18-month-old, 35-lb Border Collie mix who decided to make her grand entrance into rescue life on Christmas Eve . Saved by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan, Noelle arrived seriously underweight and with an old harness that had clearly overstayed its welcome (embedded harnesses are not a fashion trend we recommend). While she once had a home, no one came looking for this sweet girl — but their loss is about to be someone else’s very big win. Noelle has big, soulful brown eyes and the cutest underbite you’ve ever seen. Braces won’t be necessary (lol) — she eats just fine and is happily rediscovering her curves one meal at a time. True to her Border Collie roots, Noelle gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats and enjoys herding the bigger animals whenever possible. (Someone has to keep order, after all.) She’s currently polishing up her potty training and table manners, both of which will thrive with a consistent and loving family. Noelle would be an excellent fit for an active family with children and room to run. Because she’s basically powered by rocket fuel, very small children or infants may not be her best match — she has enthusiasm to spare. From morning zoomies to evening playtime, Noelle is full-throttle fun… until bedtime, when she happily transforms into a snuggly cuddle bug. If Noelle sounds perfect to you — that’s because she is. Come meet this precious young pup and prepare for your heart to melt. Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs. ##2623115##

Story
Leia may be little, but she already carries herself like royalty. This tiny German Shepherd mix is equal parts sweet and spunky. She loves to snuggle, but she’s not afraid to wiggle her way to the best spot in the puppy pile. She’s just starting to play and show off her budding personality — and it’s clear she’ll grow into a confident, intelligent, and loyal companion. Like all young puppies, Leia will need a family ready for basic obedience, house training, and lots of patience as she learns about the galaxy. If you’re ready to raise a brave little princess into the amazing dog she’s destined to be, Leia is ready to lead your household with love.
