Story
Janette is a sweet girl who came to us when her person had to go into assisted living. This little doll was raised by a dog trainer, so she knows lots of commands! She is currenty in a foster home with another dog and cats. She is great with dogsand is learning to leave the cats alone. Janette loves squeaky toys, playing ball, rides in the car,and sleeping under the covers. Janette takes a few minutes to trust new people, but that's not surprising for a dog who has been through such major changes. She wants so badly to please and be loved! She is loyal, protective, and smart. Although she is apartment sized, we would not recommend her for apartment living. Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs. ##2469821##

Story
Ninja is a beautiful 9 month old puppy rescued from an overcrowded animal shelter. How he had been overlooked for months is beyond comprehension. We took one look at those big brown eyes and we were smitten. Ninja is funny, happy, full of energy, walks well on a leash and plays great with other dogs - not too certain about cats but we can check. We know he loves children & adults. In short, he's fabulous. Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Story
Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! That's the one word that describes Hazelnut in a nutshell. Hazelnut, Hazel or Hazzy (so many names for such a little dog) is a 1 year old australian shepherd/hound mix who is full grown at 42 pounds. As with many of our dogs, Hazel came to us from an overcrowded shelter, picked up as a stray by animal control. We don't know her exact background but everyone who meets her knows she is a charmer. She's still a puppy with all the puppy antics and playfulness but past all the chewing and destruction that comes with being a puppy. Hazel is calm, walks well on a leash, is house broken, gets along great with other dogs and cats, has all her shots, is heart-worm negative and spayed.  All she needs is a new home & family to call her own.  Come meet Hazelnut and you'll fall in love immediately. We did! Story
Gucci is a very affectionate and well behaved 3-year-old male Lab. mix. Rescued from Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter, a rural always overcrowded animal control facility, Gucci's time there had run out. Hart County Humane Society volunteers couldn't turn away from our so deserving Gucci and took him in as a foster. Gucci is house/crate trained, gets along with other dogs and people of all ages. He is quiet, walks well on a leash, and loves to ride in the car. He is heartworm negative, up to date with vaccines and parasite preventatives. At 50 pounds Gucci is about the perfect size for most families, he would love a home without cats where can live inside and be a part of the family pack. Gucci's adoption fee is only $35.00 for an approved home. As with most rescued shelter animals Gucci is eager to please those who are kind to him.   Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org.
